Using mine now. In your video it looks like you watered down your paint quite a bit, don't know if you did that for demonstration purposes or not, but I didn't water down mine at all and it took 2 or 3 purgings to get the handle to fill. From then on it was smooth sailing. I was skeptical, but my only complaint so far is that it's a bit heavy. While the walls were a breeze, the ceilings were not fun. Glad I found this video as the written instructions that came with it were confusing. All in all, I'm happy with the product.

No need to dilute the paint. Sometimes just get the valve wet with paint makes a better seal. Ceilings are difficult to paint no matter how you do them!

just got done first coat relubed everything surprisingly worked very well have it in a plastic bag getting ready to do secound coat it was remarkably worth the $24 if it cleans up well enough to reuse agian it was money well spent

Just bought one in the uk in a charity shop for 7 gbp about 9.30 usd. Can't wait to use it. Never been used. I'll lubricant before I use it as I think it's been boxed for a while. Video copyright dated 1997. I have watched it and watched tips on RUclips too.

Worked great heavy for ceilings but fast on walls.
I have never used this although I bought it years ago. Took it out to use and I can't find the fill tube. Can one be bought separately?

I usually use a drill attachment to clean the paint out my roller covers. Will I be able to use that attachment with these covers or are they different from a standard cover in how they attach to the roller?
Hello, these are inner-fed roller covers so they are designed a bit differently and may not be able to attach to your drill. If i use an oil based enamel high gloss, its impossible to clean. i cannot use terpentine? what do you suggest on oil based paints?
Hello Mike, thanks for your question. What brand of paint is it? We recommend checking what the paint manufacturer recommends. It may state it right on the can. Otherwise, we typically do recommend turpentine or mineral spirits
they also only recommend latex paint
Ok. I liked it but the fill tube that attaches to the side of the can broke so I took it back to store and then the one I got in return didn't seal well and would drip at times. I liked the speed of using it but it takes a good bit of priming to get it started. Not sure if I will buy it again and may go back to using a regular roller and pan. It's a great idea but needs some perfecting.

Yes, it can be attached to a 5 gallon bucket, but it might not reach the bottom.

What becomes of all the vaseline that just plugged up your fill tube ?
Thank you for your question! The vaseline actually helps to create a tight seal with the fill tube and lubricate the inner pieces of the EZ-Twist. It only requires a small amount of vaseline or petroleum jelly to do this.

Try putting petroleum jelly (taped to the inside of the spatter shield) on the fill port on the paint stick. Then place on the fill tube and press your hand onto the top of the paint Stick to make sure you have a good seal, then pull back the handle with the other hand.

Can you use the paint stick for deck stain?
The PaintStick should only be used with latex paint. Stain is too thin and will seep through the roller cover.
Like in vid, if you have a utility room with a deep sink, clean up on this roller can be a pain in the ass. Alot more time spent cleaning with just a garden hose, and much messier. Other than the pain in the ass clean up without a deep utility room sink, it works ok.

Just threw mine in the trash. EZ twist it is NOT. You can barely turn it!! I did one wall and struggled trying to feed the paint. Took one load of paint just to wet the roller and that took a long time because it kept sticking and refused to twist.

I just splurged on paint and supplies and so far its costing me $200 for just 2 small rooms. Now im jusn now finding these types of rollers and even smart brushes with paint in the handle. Dang, im returning everything,. I had to go to lowes and home depot 4 times in a week.

Why does the paint go on with dots instead of coming out evenly?

HomeRightTV have used similar one here down under and found it slow and slow to clean up,I can roll a room in half the time using conventional roller and bucket and clean up faster to ,as I said good for mum and dad paint jobs ,

My paintstick has stopped holding the paint in. It just leaks out of the fill port, even after adding more petroleum jelly.

That'd be a fun race to see! You'll find that the PaintStick EZ-Twist is quicker, and also leaves less drips and messes. You also don't have to constantly bend over to refill on paint.

I have two of these but haven't used them yet. Problem is I've got a 5 gallon bucket and this is designed for a gallon bucket.

Go get a small hose clamp and a small piece of hose that will reach the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket. Then take your small hose/rubber tube attatch it to the fill adapters existing plastic tube and take your hose clamp and place it on the part that over laps (good 3" of overlap) drop it in the bucket and there you go for $2-$5 you can now use it with 5 gallon buckets.

This works ok, but I rendered uneven coverage results. The problem is that this device may be the single most laborious thing to clean in the paint industry. The video doesn't show how you have to fashion a chopstick to a toothbrush to clean the inside of the fill tube. Set aside at least 20 minutes of cleaning. I am back to roller and tray.

I agree. Unless you have a mudroom with a deep sink, it's a pain in the ass using just a garden hose to clean it. Easier to just use a regular roller for clean up purposes

It is too slow to paint
We've found that it is much faster than using a traditional brush or roller.
Seems like a lot of steps to learn to avoid dipping the roller into the bucket.

Its hard to see what your doing since the words are in the way and hiding what your doing
Completely useless! You can paint half of that wall easily with a 15mm roller. You don`t need to spend time filling it up, cleaning the stick etc

no way, ive used these several times and they are MUCH faster and cleaner than using even a thick roller
How to make painting complicated and more difficult. I can see gallon cans getting knocked over trying to fill that thing up.

Not all of the paint was used. As you'll see towards the end of the video, the remaining paint was pushed back into the paint can for later use.
