People keep forgetting that players can play different roles. Sanchez will most likely surprise you guys. He really doesn't have to be the best at that role. He just has to perform it well and he can do that. A settled defense will help for sure.
The first team does not need many players. People remaining fit and 2 or 3 additions I'm confident Calafiori and perhaps Diogo Costa would be quality team players

Cucurella proved himself for me as a reasonable starting full back, and I think he would be completely fine shifting into that left-sided centre back position in possession found in Maresca’s style of play. He had the versatility at Brighton, why not give him a chance here?
