"Bronco Blitz" by LifeCheck0 [All Coins] | Geometry Dash 2.2

This is another entry to Waboo's contest that "Rage Quit" was made for, meaning that it's also a remake of "Stereo Madness". That is probably even harder to tell in this case, compared to bli's level, as none of the parts show the original look. It's an entirely custom art level, with a kind of Wild West theme to it, which is a really interesting direction. This is the case until a simulated crash at 0:43, after which it gets snowy. These two parts make for an interesting combination, all while fitting relatively well together due to similar rock structures, cloudy skies, and LifeCheck0's general style. In each of the sections, you go up against a bossfight, first some bandits in a car and then a helicopter, both of which shoot rockets at you.
With all of the aforementioned visuals in mind, it's no surprise this ended up being rated 6 Stars (5 higher than "Stereo Madness" and 4 higher than "Rage Quit"). There's just so much detail and a lot going on, especially at the bossfights, for it to be rated lower. I'm sure a lot of people aren't able to tell that the gameplay is from the first level either. That's not a problem overall, though, but more of a side effect of giving the original such a big overhaul. It has already been rated Epic, which I think works well. There are a few points that leave some things to be desired, such as the audio transitions at 0:33 and 0:56. Additionally, at 1:25 there is text saying, "No coin (yet)", giving the impression of it being released unfinished. They only had about 1 month to build this, so that makes sense. All in all, this is still a really cool remake, and I'm excited to see what LifeCheck0 does in the future. If he doesn't have to follow an object or time limit, I'm sure he can make something even better!
COIN RATING
Bronze. 1/4. Only one of the coins from the original remain, and it's completely unchanged. That makes it completely unoriginal, all while being basically free, so it gets a Bronze rating.
- 1st Coin: Bronze. At 1:12, you come up on the same structuring for the 2nd coin of "Stereo Madness". Even if you don't recognize that this is a remake of that level, the gameplay is so slow here that you can sightread and jump up for the coin, making it completely free. All it requires is one extra jump with no special timing. It doesn't do anything different visually either. I understand that LifeCheck0 wanted to keep the original coin here, but that doesn't mean we will go easy on the coin rating. It's still too easy to find and get with no originality as it's copied from another level.
