Hey Jason. I'm a psychiatric nurse by day, it's when I'm off duty at present. I have made some preliminary moves. On board with Beehiiv. My father is a steam train enthusiast, been bouncing ideas around with him and he was impressed with a test article. Need to investigate potential for monetization before proceeding. Individually I'm looking into a bare knuckle boxing theme, I believe it's going to blow up. I have made initial contact with a fantastic fighter from my city (Birmingham UK) and he's responding to me. Due to work commitments I have advised him I will send him a plan by Wednesday. In hoping he will sit for interviews, even better an elongated version prior to his next fight night. Also tap into his connections as he fights in the BKFC, where I intend to. focus. I will approach BKFC myself too. Again need to assess monetization. Id be eternally grateful for any advice you could give me please.

Great video - Jason. I like your "very low profile" - minimal hype - minimal changing screens - low volume and appropriate music. Some of the these video creators think they need to sing, dance, and be an idiot while turning the screen into a horror show of ever-changing slides, pictures, memes, etc. ...Nope, I just want the information and your information was solid - don't change your style - you're spot on.

Good to know. I always knew about newsletters. I have yet to know anyone who will show proof by starting from scratch live, with no followers, no products, and no sponsors and no channels. I see everybody always throws out the good ideas though, that's where the money is on youtube. Good job.👍🏽
I've come across a newly built newsletter this year with an extremely low following (startup pretty much). It's really slow. What helped it gain a bit over 130+ new signups are social ads and that's within 1.5months. So yeah, more established accounts will kill it for sure. The little fellas will just have to suck it up for a bit! Then again, sometimes you only need 20 loyal clients to make it!

Yes I can see the potential but I think the challenge is getting those people in your list. The saying "the money is in the list" is absolutely true because too many internet marketers do use their built list to make their money. But it is not so easy to build a list in any niche.

Yes, I'd definitely be interested in learning more about newsletters which clearly have changed since I last noticed. Yes, you're right, I always think of them as boring. Maybe time to rethink that assumption.
boring is better. if its simple and makes money, it always will. no matter where the market is sitting or going. if you have an audience that YOU control, and that is interested in YOUR writing/topic(s)/niche, you'll always be set, especially if you use it as an emergency exit. 10,000-20,000 subs could easily get you $200,000-500,000.

I have a terrific idea but wasn't sure where to start and have been feeling overwhelmed by the thought of it all.
This avenue seems interesting and i am going to see where it takes me.
I am curious though, if you are in a group and promote your newsletter, are you trying to get emails to eventally send the newsletter to or is the goal to have people just instantly want to subscribe, in which you would get their email that way?
I had that question. I would say that after you've provided value for free, you could just provide the link to your lead magnet and people who now trust you will sign up for more. As long as the group/platform allows it.
