- Email newsletters have become the go-to strategy for knowledge workers and thought leaders looking to build social and financial capital online. Why read the Wall Street Journal or watch CNBC when you can create your own media empire? There are over 4 billion email users in the world, but only a select few are raking in 7 figure checks from this legacy medium. In this video, I explore how some of the greatest newsletter entrepreneurs built their email-infused businesses.

Hey, I'm Kunal. I'm a Swedish founder in NYC and ex-investment banker (Lazard M&A). You can think of this as my personal business blog, but in video format.
I create videos about finance, business strategy, M&A and mental models to help me better understand our complex business world. Through my work, I've mostly covered tech, media, healthcare, sports and holdcos so those are naturally the topics I gravitate towards.
My goal is to constantly challenge myself to become a better business operator, investor and thinker by studying world class founders, financiers and investors. I hope this channel will help you do the same.

It's definitely worth putting in the time to become authoritative on whatever topic you want to cover. All businesses require invesment, most can be just time spent learning.

I had heard about Morning Brew story before but you covered some new topics. great video. It was a brilliant strategy on how to get email addresses. Often when I hear what people sell their companies for, I realize the valuation is too high (often ridiculously high amount of money), and many times it turns out to be a disaster. But in this instance I actually think Morning Brew was worth more then $75 Million at the time they were acquired (but you have to take whatever offer you get at the time if you are looking to sell it). Having a proven strategy to be able to acquire customers at the college age (using a method that is cheap to employ), is very valuable for companies, especially with something like business news, because then they are going to potentially have a lifetime customer.
