Grand Order of the Reiksguard all day, every day! Not only are they the coolest order, but they're also led by Kurt Helborg, one of the most badass characters in the warhammer universe!
ItalianSpartacus said he was thinking of doing 1 templar and 1 secular order per video going foward... That's like 8 more videos since there's 18 orders (probably more) that I'm aware of and he's only covered 2. Maybe a better way to go about it would be to group orders by cult affliations per video? Templars of Sigmar Templars of Morr Templars of other dieties Secular Orders That way it can be wrapped up in 4-5 videos and move on to other stuff.
In the book 'knights of the empire', which is a collection of novels, there is one about the knights of the blazing sun. It is described there how they are locally organised in komturies, which are supposed to be their fortress/houses, often found even in frontier or heaviliy ostile contexts. In these places vast libraries will be found, as well as the most recent scientific and technical innovations. It is in fact stressed how myrmidia is not only the goddess of war, but also of knowledge.
Myrmidia is not only the patron goddess of Tilea but also of Estalia, and in general of all the southern realms. Since for those kingdoms myrmidia is like sigmar or ulric (in the lore it is explained how its people profess a religious fanaticism even greater than that of the Imperials for Sigmar). In fact the temple of magritta is the central seat of the cult. Also, i would like to know about the knights of Morr =)
To give you a quick rundown before the awesome video, the Knights of Morr specialise in monster killing and protecting graveyards, to prevent the Vampire Counts from resurrecting the corpses within. They take their name from Morr, god of Death.
Yeah they worship the god Morr, the Empire's god of death. Their Black armor shroud's them in silence. They often tread near Sylvania protecting graves from rogue necromancer's.
They also take a vow of silence and their whole concept is to be a powerful silent charge cavalry unit that psychologically destroy their enemies. One of my favs.
I wouldn't mind seeing some Knights of the White Wolf next, if it please-eth thou. And if it doth not, then thou shan't... be best pleased when... mine... except after C-eth... or something...
Your dialect seems unrefined, allow me. I would be undisturbed, were you to place the Knights of the White Wolf next in due order, of the Orders, if it doth please thee, should it not, then thou shan't.
For people learning about the lore, to get a good summary of the Knightly Orders you should see the fanbook by Mathias Elliasson. Yes it is not a very well designed book as many paragraphs are repeated or contain the same information but at least he summarises all the Orders from most of the relevant sources. The only order I see getting in is the Knights of the White Wolf, apart from being the centrepiece unit for Middenland (Future DLC) the Empire does not have a heavy armour-piercing cavalry that can stick in combat. Basically they are the equivalent of questing knights, but tougher and more expensive. Another unique unit could be the Knights of Verdent Field, being let another knight orderly which worships Mrymida and gives some more Talebheim representation. Apart from that they could be light vanguard skirmisher cavalry with good melee stats but weaker range damage in comparison to the Pistoliers. Very unlikely to get in though.
Perhaps the Knights Panther could be implemented in-game by making them only recruitable at the Carroburg via the Knights Panther Chapter House which could also add a garrison of three Knights Panther instead of the current three Empire Knights. Talabheim and Middenheim could have Knights Panther added to their City building chain garrisons at tiers IV and V to account for those cities having lesser chapter houses of the Knights Panther. This would make sieges at those places much more unique because at Middenheim you would have a garrison of Knights Panther and Knights of the White Wolf and at Talabheim you would have Knights Panther and Knights of the Blazing Sun. Great video again ItalianSpartacus. :)
The knights of the burning sun is a tier 2 or 3 building (I forget) as you can build it in the small town. The one built in the big city just gets a bonus if I recall right. (Been playing too much SFO)
I think it makes sence that the Knights of the Blazing Sun use flaming weapons because only them would have enought money to universally enchant weapons.
I feel they should have been hero units, or at least small battalions of highest-tier units, considering they are the smallest, and arguably best trained (not to mention best funded) order in the Empire.
I wonder if they could do a RoR like system, where the unlock condition for the various knightly orders would be to have a T3 chapterhouse in their home location; possibly with varying unit caps based on how fancy they are, so you can only have 1 Order of Flaming Weapons, but you can have 2 or 3 Order of Resist Psychology.
Well the chaperthouse of the knights Panther is already in Warhammer one giving the cavalry xp.... I would just set it into carroburg but giving it a cost of 15.000 like the blazing sun
I like the racist nature of the Knights Panther, it make sense on the context of the world. But my favs are the Black Guard of Morr. I would kill for miniatures with skull sallets.
The Knights of the Blazing has always been my favorite due to my main in Warhammer Online wielding a fuck off two-handed sword. I played that game for hundreds of hours.
You forgot to mention the fact the Knights Panther are still technically at war with Araby. Also specialise them, so blazing sun against wood elves, white wolf get bonuses in snow or with attrition... Knights of morr
ItalianSpartacus warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Knightly_Orders_of_the_Empire under Knights Panther. Remember from somewhere else too but can't find d quickly
I would like it if each knight fuffiled a certain role in the army, like u said blazing sun is for cycle charging, white wolf being anti infantry ap or armor sundering, panthers could be like a lower tier blood knight causing fear/terror and having frenzy. Other knightly orders could have more staying power or anti large
Knights of the White Wolf I think should be armoured piercing and armoured sundering melee cavalry, Black Guard of Morr should be the fear and terror cavalry, Knights of the Raven a heavily armoured missile cavalry that does bonus ranged damage against undead, Knights Encarmine a DPS melee cavalry, Knights Panther a faster than normal heavy cavalry with anti-large, Hunters of Sigmar a melee cavalry that ignores forest debuff with damage bonus against bestmen and large units
I want a future mechanic where you can maybe pick what knight order you want in your army and get some units based on that or at the very least, variants of similar units (i.e differences between order of the blazing sun and reiksguard)
Oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can say "ni" at will in the comment sections! There is a pestilence upon this channel! Nothing is sacred!
Knights of the white wolf would be better questing knight's knights panther would be better knights of the realm knights of mor would have fear maybe even terror Knights in kharmine would be non ap malee cav with bonus vs infantry that can outgrinde any non ap units knights of myrmidia would have magick attacks these are the only knightly orders i think have any chance of getting added since they all have something to add to the empire roster
Knights Panther should definitely get bonus vs. large. Maybe they're also faster from bringing back Arabian steeds? Also magic and poison resistance on them would be cool.
Wait, arn't "knights of the innercircle" the closest most elite knights of each order that form an inner circle (akin to Arthur and the round table) with the order's grandmaster?
Is there any lore about knights panther weapons? The sword on that citadel fine cast model looks like real world damascus. Damascus is a style of blade forging that makes the blade extremely strong by folding and retempering the medal. It leads a very ornate looking design on the blade identical to the sword in that model.
Great video. I love Knights Panther. I would make them sword and shield type . Lighter but faster and stubborn with exellent defence skill. For the next chapter please talk White Wolves! These I would see as armour-piecing and anti-large.
But thinking about it lorewise, shouldn’t Reiksguard have something like encourage or immunity to psychology? Not TT, but after all they are the best human warriors(not blessed). And they’ve seen all kinds of horrors. That’s what I mean
I think the knightly orders of the empire are cool.... but they shouldnt be added. Not unless Bretonnia gets new cav units. The Empire already has nearly as much as them, and to boot for whatever reason the Empire got a RoR of their most powerful cav but Bretonnia didnt. Otherwise even without that the Empire has better infantry, better missiles, better magic, better artillery, and with the existance of the RoR demis and possibly knightly orders? Cavalry... I really think Grail Knights either need a buff, a RoR (preferred), or a new cav unit even better than them.
What i whan't to see in the Knlght's of the White wolf. Melee Cavlier Is the skill "Cull the Weak!" (Same in the SF mode) Armor piercing Armored Anti-infintry Knight's of the Jaguar: shock cavlier Terror and fear Anti-infintriy Armoured & shielded But now i must ask..... with of the knight's whould fit a "anti-large" role? Edit: forgot that Knight's of the jaguar can fit that role.
That WhiteWolf terror and fear should go to the knight's of more the knights panther should have anti large cause they hunt chaos witch has a lot of monsters
But do Knightly Orders have anything special? I mean, in TT the knights of the blazing sun had the same stats as an empire knight . Their goddess, Myrmida is a goddess of strategy. So why don’t they have, in TT, for example better Initiative, showing that they worship a goddess of war. And one more thing. Reiksguard . Strongest empire soldiers. They are so... basic. They have nothing special. Why don’t they have something like immunity to psychology, to show how elite they are(for a human. Questing knights for example have Immune to psychology). Or something like encourage. Showing that they are the personal guard of the emperor. What do you think
because TT is a heavy numbers game, but with low numbers. it's easy to buff up weapon strength in TW because it's not relevant to race, right? for example... almost all caster have like 300 weapon strength - regardless of race. Aemon Arcturus with the manliest of staches. And yes im sayingngis beats out volkmar and ludwig
The blazing sun have extremely polished shields that blind their enemies as they charge, no flaming weapons, like you said
He actually mentions that at no point is it written in the books that they have flaming weapons.
Stephen Howard forgive my grammar I missed a comma
I'm willing to bet the main reason they gave them flaming weapons is to make their silhouette stand out more from the other cavalry types.
@@QuestionableObject or just a game mechanic but they could've easily made blinding shields work like sigvaulds mirror shit
knights of the everlasting light and knights of morr
But they're both templar orders... God don't you listen :p

ItalianSpartacus said he was thinking of doing 1 templar and 1 secular order per video going foward... That's like 8 more videos since there's 18 orders (probably more) that I'm aware of and he's only covered 2.

To give you a quick rundown before the awesome video, the Knights of Morr specialise in monster killing and protecting graveyards, to prevent the Vampire Counts from resurrecting the corpses within. They take their name from Morr, god of Death.
Thomas Bouric there good at killing undead not monsters

ItalianSpartacus no lie, every time you say "knights of the rayelm" I just die from laughter. Every. Single. Time.
Adding the knightly orders to WH2 would be welcome. Perhaps a dismount option too although that may cause balancing issues.
Steel Faith Overhaul II mod has white wolfs and panthers
The empire seriously need some good flying units in the total war war-hammer game. They always seem to lose to the vampire count in AI vs AI battle.
Perhaps the Knights Panther could be implemented in-game by making them only recruitable at the Carroburg via the Knights Panther Chapter House which could also add a garrison of three Knights Panther instead of the current three Empire Knights.
