    When I was around 12 years this was the piece that brought me in "contact" with JS Bach. I was really impressed when listening to it on the tape recorder of my sister. Since then JS-Bach has always meant something very special to me. His music goes straight to the heart. I am grateful that these U. Norberg recordings are (freely) available. A real gift!!!

    2:33 I don't know what it is, but this version has (in my opinion) the best resolving ending played for the Toccata sect.
    There is just something about it and how it is expressed so powerfully. The pacing is played relatively faster than other versions, but this interpretation seems to justify the "resolving" intention.
    I applaud to this man's performance every time I listen to this piece.

    Very nice. I appreciate an organist who physically plays such a dramatic piece. Your body is playing the organ...Not just your hands & feet. Bravo!

    Bach's international number one smash hit, Toccatta and Figue in D Minor. A musical genius Bach was.

    Ganz wunderbar gespielt. DAS Stück der Stücke. Hervorragend interpretiert.
    Ein wunderbares Instrument, gespielt von einem sehr guten Organisten.

    Writing about music is like dancing about architecture! It is an agglomeration of changing images, colors, thoughts and rhythms for the capsizing of the senses!

    Unusual but beautiful registration for the fugue! Sometimes simpler is better.

    What can one say but, "thank you for the music". { Is that an "ABBA" song coming on }

    Un po’ troppo veloce, in alcuni passaggi, con un risultato “sporco”. Fra l’altro sugli organi a canne al tempo di Bach non si poteva suonare così velocemente poiché erano basati su un sistema idraulico, che pertanto ritardava il suono.
