Epic trip. And you guys put so much positive energy out into the world it’s not surprising so many people are willing to drop everything and lend a hand. What a great bunch of people.
This is awesome! As Hunter Thompson said, "A savage journey into the heart of the American dream!" Totally admire you and Elio's enthusiasm and how car folks help one another (social media is good for something sometimes!), way to go Jessie and friends! A-and Elio is the best friend you could ask for, tons of knowledge and always smiling! Go Japhands and Elio, keep moving forward!
That old Monarch was always one of my favorite HalfAss cars, I know Brent used it for a winter beater but I thought it would have been great as a daily driver.
That was really awesome those guys helped yall and that one guy ceught that bad connection and you didnt have to drop all that fluid and change spmething that wasnt bad thanks to him so glad yall didnt get stuck and had good car guys that came through.
Had to laugh when you got to Moses Lake. I grew up there! And, it's not at all surprising to me that there was nobody there with the talent or any technical expertise to help you along. Glad it's handled now and you're back on your adventure.
Karl, congrats to you and everyone, on getting a new transmission in place. Good luck to you two on the rest of your journey. I loved the shop!! Especially the 1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Business Coupe. I have one just like it!! Fun to see that someone else has one.
Living in Washington, I’ve done that drive a few times - that’s a heck of a drive (only gone to Missoula in a single day, not all the way to butte) to handle with lights/turns may or may not work 🫡 looks like it’s going to be a blast if trip Karl, can’t wait to see all the trip
I’ve never had a transmission that once it started slipping or doing weird shit that changing the fluid or adding any kind of magic elixir helped in any way. Seems like once they start going downhill it doesn’t take long before they find the bottom of the hill pretty quickly. Especially gm 🤣
Man I wish I would have known you were coming through Washington so close to where I live I'm like 15 minutes off of I 90 Could've came and met you or we could have made sure your road trip would have gone well check in the car out
Put’s the uk in perspective land’s end to John o groats is 823 miles. I think I’m not sure England would fit in California. Car people there the best. Looking forwards to part two. Take care all the best.
Mate if I get a single spinner I will turn it in two a look a like Metor they had a mercury grille I made models car and made Metors mate I hope you guys had a safe trip guys
Hi there guys like the mercury Looking shithot bro yes I do like the mercury metors comets the cars from Canada Special the 49 50 51 they were called metor and in the States they are called shoebox Ford single spinner and twin spinners they are all great old cars mate
Did Hunter explain how the area was created? Those rock formations are the result of erosion that occurred at the end of the ice age when massive water flows drained from northern Idaho through northeastern Washington, Idaho to the Pacific Ocean. Lots of history and cool facts...
Perhaps you don't have a heart and enjoy an adventure? Why bother commenting? Support or keep the negativity in your garage. Just be kind and have a nice day.
Sorry you had to go to Seattle. What a shithole. Just moved to Detroit from Seattle and love it! Automotive culture everywhere. Midwest on the cheap. Enjoy the ride boys.
Karl, If you're coming across 94 or 90, I'm NW of Chicago if you need anything when you're in the area. Let me know where to send you contact info. Denny

Awesomeness, gearheads are the absolute best. Killer road trips always involve some wrenching and meetings of the like minded.
Elio is Yoda. So many good people out there. Never a trip without drama
Most of the guys on the bigger forums are awesome. Glad you were able to find help along the way!
In such such as these we need more good people such as these... Thanks to everyone who helped, offered to help and simply cared enough.
41 chevy. Its nice to have angels on your side. I believe we are the angels if we rise up to the occasion when called upon

You've got to ❤ real car people and culture.
Love the Pacific Northwest. Grandparents are from BC, moved to southern California to work for the railroad, a few years back. 1898.
You guy's remind me of the Blues bros. Jake & Elwood. I live in Union Washington.

I'm surprised he believes any of that snake oil works.
That's awesome to have so many willing to help. Of course we are seeing tis after the fact. How does that work in real time when you ask for help?

I believe that is good natured sarcasm.
@@dubzlyfe It's not 70 year old running gear though.
