Repairing the broken unobtanium 928 rear trim with a plastic staple welder?

Since the 2 piece hatch trim came in 4 pieces, I needed a way to figure out a repair. Plastic hot stapling was just the ticket!

Yes - the dissection lab! Although I think our school used them for lunches afterwards, always had labs mid morning.....
