      On our demo vehicles we don't use them, but technically, you can create an extension -to- panel mount USB charger for the dash.

    I just installed this system. Everything plug and play, i have one issue. My volume is really low. I turn the volume knob to 40 and its sounds like if it was like a 8 instead. Can it be an issue with the reciver?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  Год назад

      So it sounds like the output is very, very low. Be sure the RCA’s are fully inserted at the back of the radio. You also want to double check ALL connections at the amp. Be sure EVERY wire is fully seated in the Molex connectors. We have seen a couple installs where 1 wire pulled out of the input or output molex.
      Did you make any adjustments to the amplifier controls? You may want to verify the PRESET = ON.

    Is the amp suppose to fit tight. Mine seems to be hitting the steering wheel motor.

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  Месяц назад

      It’s very close to the motor, but since the bracket wraps around the tubular frame, you should have some play to get everything roughed in before tightening the bolts.

    Kinda off topic, I have the audio roof and was wondering can I connect a sub to this without adding a amp? Thanks

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  8 месяцев назад

      The Can-Am Audio Roof requires the 400 Watt amplifier to drive the subwoofer, otherwise you would only have around 25 Watts from the source unit driving the sub. In the outdoor environment using that low of power would not create the level of bass you'll need to hear it properly. You can find more information on the subwoofer and amplifier for the Can-Am Audio Roof here: rockfordfosgate.com/products/system/utv-audio/2020-can-am-maverick-x3/

    is the power wire at 9:13 already in the canam itself or is it in the kit because i have the connecter the power wire but im not sure where to connect it

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  5 месяцев назад

      Yes, this is the Can-Am ACCESSORY TURN-ON wire. If you're having problems locating it, have one person stand in front of the Can-Am. Have the 2nd person inside the UTV lift up on the dash. The 1st person in front should be able to see the red wire and identify its location.

      The BLUE wire from the main amplifier wiring harness connects to the BLUE wire from the PMX source unit harness. You'll see the BLUE wire at 8:14 on the main power harness and at 9:04.

    Did you guys get that dynamic steering issue fix or figured out?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  3 года назад +1

      This is an extremely rare situation. We've had our dealer network accumulate hundreds of installations without issue. Many Can-Am dealers do this as part of service since the power steering on this car is sensitive, so UTVs that don’t have an audio system installed can still benefit from this reset. We have the documentation for the reset available here: rftech.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1374/kw/can-am

      Yes, at timecode 10:44 in the above video, Greg explains "Start with the Driver Panel and reattach the SmartLok harness. Be sure to push in the red locking pin. The reattach the headlight [switch] and any accessory switches you have." We suggest to take a photo with your mobile device to help with any reconnection of harnesses.

      It's hard to find, and it isn't accessible by looking up under the dash. Have someone inside the vehicle pull up on the dash panel while you stand in front of the vehicle and look in with a flashlight. You'll see a red wire attached to the top of the subframe.
