    Is their an application were you can mess with amplifier and volume?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  Год назад +1

      The available RFCONNECT App is for the Color Optix LED control. The amplifier already has a PRESET switch that our RTTI installers have tuned for the best sound quality, best gain settings, best equalization, and best crossover settings for longevity of the speakers. Therefore, we don’t advise changing any settings on the amp and don’t have an App for it. For Volume control, this kit supports the PMX-BTUR steering wheel remote. You can find more info on the remote under the ACCESSORIES tab: rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/x317-stg5/

    I install this kit in my 2022 can x3 max it was working well for a while and then it didn’t want to go on again after couple minutes. My gauge cluster also when off. Any idea what this may be?

    I don’t have a pigtail that says rear sub. Just says rear… also do I connect the speaker to the pmx harness or the other wire Harness that comes form the amp?

      hey man , can you let me know how you wired everything. they didn’t really give a good example on where everything goes. i’ve been trying to install since last night.

      Amplifier connections are addressed at 8:41. If you're connecting the subwoofers, look for a short 8" harness labeled SUB.
      The MAIN HARNESS FRONT connectors attach to the FRONT SPEAKERS.
      The MAIN HARNESS REAR connectors attach to the REAR MOTO-CANS.
      Connect the MAIN HARNESS POWER PLUG to the AMPLIFIER "B+/GND" connector.
      Connect the short subwoofer harness to the SUB OUTPUT on the AMPLIFIER POWER PLUG, then connect the opposite 2 ends of the short subwoofer harness to the long SUB harnesses that run under the seats.

    Hello i have that stage 5 do you used all 3 connector of the amp?? Front/back/sub connector?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  Год назад

      You use all 3 inputs, but only 2 inputs as follows:
      FRONT OUT = dash speakers
      REAR OUT = moto-cans
      POWER = power plug
      SUB OUT = sub out mini harness > Sub1 & Sub2
      FRONT IN = harness for front
      REAR/SUB IN = harness for subwoofer
      This is covered at 8:49 of the video: ruclips.net/video/nVdKQfuT6KQ/видео.html&lc=Ugwr2GY8dCpt4XipNXJ4AaABAg

    on my amplifier i have 3 wires front in rear in and sub in i put the front of the amp to the front and rear to the sub because i have 2 wire plugs that are front and rear from the power harness i connected everything from the video im a little confused on what connecters i connect to speakers do i connect all speakers to PMX harness or Power harness?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, the amplifier inputs use the FRONT IN and SUB IN only (the input switch tells the FRONT IN to feed both FRONT and REAR channels of the amplifier).
      The PMX harness connects to the main power harness. At 10:02 it shows Greg connecting the PMX harness to those main power harness.

    Whats the app for the lights on speaker?
    Also, would like to add the two big speakers from stage 6 two my stage 5 without having to replace them. What else would I need besides the speakers?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  Год назад

      Yes, the App is only for the RGB lightning. You can download that here: www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/pmx-rgb/
      Are you asking if you can add the 8" horn-loaded wake tower speakers to the existing audio system? Technically you can do this by adding them to the rear channels of the amplifier, operating the rear channels at 2Ω, which the amplifier is stable at. There are no installation guides on how to do this, so this would be a custom install.

    My can am x3 stage 5 sounds good a lower volumes , at high volumes it sounds very distorted, I’ve tried messing with the frequencies and settings , is there anything to do to check the amp? I also have a rzr turbo s with the stage 5 and it sounds clear as day turned all the way up to 40,

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  2 года назад

      Hi Jose, the settings on the amplifier need to remain as configured out of the box or you will likely blow-up speakers. Keep the PRESET switch ON and adjust the other INPUT SWITCHES exactly as the previous generation Tuning Guide (www.rockfordfosgate.com/rnt/rnw/docs/1356//amptuning_x317_2017-2019.pdf). Since this is a troubleshooting question, it would be best to contact our Technical Support because this will require a lot of back-and-forth discussion. They can be reached at 1-800-669-9899 Mon-Fri 8am-5pm MST.

    Two questions. Do I need to be concerned about my speaker wires touching accessory electrical wires? And what do I do about my brake lines when mounting my sub enclosures on a two seat XRS?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  2 года назад

      Great questions Eric Kennedy. By "speaker wires touching" do you mean just physically residing next and being zip-tied along with electrical cables (not peeling back the insulation and touching the metal conductor with other electronics). We haven't had any issues with magnetic radiation causing noise issues. However, we recommend NOT routing any new accessories NEXT to the amplifier itself as the step-up transformer can cause noise issues.
      Regarding the brake lines, you'll notice at 07:26 in the above video you can see our GEN-2/3 subwoofer enclosure was redesigned with a channel to accommodate the brake lines.

    • @erickennedy9487
      @erickennedy9487 2 года назад

      @@rockfordfosgate thank for the quick response. Okay I’m sure I can figure out the brake lines. In your video the x3 was a 4 seater so it didn’t have the brake lines running across the floor broads where the sun would go like my 2 seater does. And yes, what I meant is, your insulated speaker wire harness as well as sub harnesses. Will I have any issue with sounds if I zip ty your wires to my existing electrical accessory harness I’m currently running through my center tunnel to battery? I know I’m car stereos you want to try and avoid speaker wires from being ran near power cables.

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  2 года назад +1

      @@erickennedy9487 You can see the enclosure detail where the Blake lines run here: rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/X317-M2FWE/
      The noise issue is really when running low-level signal cables (RCA’s) with high current wires. That is when you can get induced noise, but those are up in the dash. You’ll only be running speaker wires with the power cables so you should be fine.

    I’m trying to power the system from a rocker switch or straight to the battery and use the Power button on the unit it’s self ? Where is the wire to do that ?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  3 года назад +2

      The Can-Am "Accessory Mode" must be activated in order to power the system with the engine off. Are you doing this to extend the playing time of the audio system? If so, the X317-STG5 uses the RED (POWER) wire described at 09:48 "PMX Harness Installation" that provides power to the radio. The radio then uses the BLUE wire to remotely turn-on/off the amplifier. Instead of connecting the RED (POWER) wire to the accessory connector located under the dash, you'll supply +12V to this wire through your manual toggle switch. Just a warning, that you can drain your battery when running the system for an extended time with the engine off.

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  3 года назад +1

      @CANESTIME777 That is correct, we press the ignition button to enter Accessory Mode to test the system at the end of the video. However, once Accessory Mode "times out", then the audio system will shut off. Your manual switch will bypass this issue.

      I’ve already located the red 18ga or so red wire in the back of the head unit that is fused. Pulled the fuse to verify it was the feed.
      My plan is to cut and butt connect/shrink onto that wire and run it to my switch. Much appreciated
