Michelle, I thought this was an excellent video! I've never used shimmer spritz, but I think I'll give it a go, and I may try a plastic place mat -- they're a bit easier to store than a saved card board box! I also liked your tip about the memo tape, that is a good one as well, and I've hesitated on the Nuvo crystal glaze, but now I feel much better about purchasing such a large bottle! Thank you so much!! Just when one thinks one has squirreled away all the money saving tips out there .... Goes to show there is always more to learn!!
Mary Gillmarten thank you so much for your kind comment, Mary. Really glad that you enjoyed the video. The shimmer spritz is amazing! It’s so sparkly! I have found the Nuvo Glaze to be afresh investment. The bottle has already lasted me at least a year and a half. It has never clogged nor gone bad. I hope you’ll pick one up and love it as much as I do! Thank you so much for watching 😊
Thanks @JustineHovey for sending me over to subscribe to another great cardmaking channel I was not aware of until now! Although.... I don’t know how I got by all this time without checking out any of your super helpful video uploads ! :) Can’t wait to scroll through all your other previous uploads .... praying I don’t get stuck (aka mesmerized ) for next couple hours or so watching video after video . But So far, I like what I see... and I wouldn’t mind passing the time checking out fun informative vids filled with creative techniques ..... when in reality , I need to quit procrastinating and get this craftroom clean and organized once and for all !!!! Hopefully you have a craftroom organizational video to help inspire me :)? Glad I found your channel and look forward to future uploads ! Thanks again for taking time (& MUCH HARDWORK!!!!!) to film, edit and upload a bunch of tips and tutorials to help inspire other creative like-minded individuals as yourself. Really appreciate it !!!!! P.s. LOVELOVELOVE your style, girl! Keep up the FANTASTIC work !!!
First of all, please let me apologise for the delay in replying to you, Donna. I have only just seen your comment. Secondly, thank you so much for your lovely comment! I am really glad to hear that you enjoyed the video and thank you for coming over from Justine's channel. I hope that you are enjoying my videos. I do have a lot of organisational videos, along with craft room tours on my channel that I hope you will enjoy watching! Once again, I apologise for the delay but thank you for your sweet comment. I really do appreciate it!
Good video for professional crafters. For part-timers like me on a limited budget, I can find a lot of these products at the Dollar Tree or Aliexpress. As an example, PPP sells 2 teaspoons of sequins for $5. You can get 4.8 teaspoons of sequins, a mix of 4mm and 6mm, for only $1.60, on Ali!
owldepot this wasn’t about specific brands but of course, I had to show the ones that I have. It was about looking at your products in a different way. I didn’t mention sequins in my video but of course, everyone needs to buy products within their own budget. Thanks for watching!
Ruth’s Reusables thank you so much, Ruth! I think a lot of people forget about it and I do often too but it’s a great way to stretch your supplies! Thank you so much for watching, I really appreciate it xx
Cards by Maaike that May is really cute! I try and save that one for the less messy stuff! lol Thank you so much for watching, Maaike. I really appreciate it! I hope you are well 😊
@@MichelleShortTheCardGrotto yeah I enjoy them, i have a really big placemat, for kids to mess on, but i thinkit was alcohol or stampcleaner the print came off lol...too cheap ;-) anyway doesn't matter, Ijust like black cats
That is the problem with some of them. Some of the dots have come off my black and white spotty one too but since that one isn't as cute, it is ok! lol
Michelle, I am so glad I found you today over at MFT. I love your card making style, and I love your voice and British accent are so pleasant to this American Southerner to listen to! I appreciate all of these tips, and I look forward to watching many more of your videos!
What a lovely comment to wake up to! Thank you so very much. I am delighted that you enjoyed my video on the MFT channel and have now come over to my channel too. Thank you. I hope you continue to enjoy my videos. Thank you for watching!
Great tips. Thank you. I'm very new at card making and am having issues with embossing. I'm going to try your hearing from the back of the card technique.
Thank you so much for your kind comment, Lisa. I do find the placemat helpful for all those panels that need to be set aside for drying! Thank you so much for watching xx

Amy W thank you so much for your kind comment. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for subscribing, I hope you enjoy my future content too.
Great tips Michelle. What do you use to stick your gems and sequins down with please? Also can you help if poss. I bought some branded glitter glue to make my own embellishments (as advertised by the company) buy when I did some, they looked great at first and were fairly raised (like mini pearls), after leaving them a couple of hours I noticed they had gone completely flat and when I tried to take them off the glass mat they wouldn't come off. (Lol) any suggestions as to what i might of done wrong? 😂😂 X X
Thank you so much, Andrea. I almost always use Multi Medium Matte to adhere sequins and gems because the glue is very strong but also dries matte rather than glossy. I do like Tonic Deluxe Adhesive and Hero Arts Precision Glue as well. All of those are very strong. In terms of the glitter glue. I am not sure if it is made to hold because the glitter is suspended in glue. Personally, I would try Tonic Nuvo Drops which are made for that purpose. They will hold their shape and if you want to make them in advance, you can make them on a small piece of teflon sheet (for either craft purposes or baking) or use the backing from stickers, double sided tape, adhesive sheets etc. That is what I usually use and they will come off easily. I hope that helps! Thank you so much for watching! :) xx
