Robin these are GORGEOUS!! I have natural nails still, and now that they are back to normal (I had over a year of brittle, thin, HORRIBLE nails, and don't know why) and they have finally grown past the tips of my fingers and I'm dusting off all my nail art goodies, and polishing them again! Listening to you talk about natural nails and things not sticking, I use Orly Bonder as my VERY FIRST COAT, and when it dries it is tacky and it does help my polish last longer. I didn't watch for well over a year, I just could not bring myself to watch videos with beautiful long nails when mine were horrible. I missed so much, and I missed YOU most of all, you are so awesome!! :) I am going to get brave and try EVERYTHING, and enjoy my nails! Never ever take ANYTHING for granted.
I have a pretty ugly cold and I feel very bad, but every time I hear your energetic voice I feel better, and when you said that you name clapping hands killing fairies I laughed so hard, I haven't do it in days, so thank you to make me happy every time I watch your videos, and Happy Birthday!

Hi Robin, what i do for topcoat on foil is Acrylic Varnis... This make the foiled nails beautiful without cracks and over that you can use your usual topcoat so it stays as long as other mani's. Even the cheapest varnis work well.. there is high gloss and matt.. both work perfect.. Please you have to try it.. so you clients have a nice mani for several days...

I have another question for you, WetnWild no longer makes the clear and black polish you talk about in this video and others, when you talk about making your own blends and the fact that this brand is good and cheap. sorry so long to reply.....but maybe better! it was because the best glue ever was so expensive to ship and they began making good and cheap alternatives on ebay.....i didnt know how to say it back then, but there was just so other foil glue back then! now there is tons! xoxoxo

When I use gel top coat my nail foils never crinkle up at all. Or when I don't want to use a gel topcoat I use a water based top coat over the foils which keep them perfect and not crinkled. But, then after the water based one dries I put a regular quick dry top coat on top of the water based one to keep the manicure on longer since water based top coats don't last as long. But, I promise if you do any of those things whether it's a gel top coat or an aqua base or aqua top coat your foils will look perfect and not crinkled or cracked and they'll last as long as they need to too.

You know, i threw out a bunch of foil glue a few years back because I didn't know what to do with it. I am a gel tech & you don't need it. However, i still do a lot of regular polish on toes. Now, i wish I had all that blue as it should have been great to use for glitter too!.

This just popped up in my feed and I’ve noticed you’ve been talking a lot about textile medium lately. I’m wondering if you’ve ever tried that as a foil glue? I just can’t get any foil glue to work for me! So frustrating! I’ve also heard you can use any white glue based peel-off base coat like OPI’s
Great question! Once textile medium dries all the way it loses its stick. However, in the old days it used to work with foil. Now with the new foils and whatever chemicals they're using to make them, it works less. I am trying to perfect it and find a solution every single day. When I do I will make a video but I don't want to make a video to quickly when there are so much for oil that doesn't work anymore in this technique. This used to be the perfect bridge between the two but when foils got discontinued everything changed. That is why I try and find the best Solutions because of discontinued products. When I started my channel there was hardly any such thing as foil. So I tried to find companies that would help me and then the beauty industry found it first and took over and it's a big hot mess with what really works and what doesn't anymore. I hope this helps you and just know that I am on it!
you see how on the dragon fly, not all the foil stuck? why's that? because I have the same problem . my foil won't stick in some places. also I left my foil dry but when I go to pull up the foil, the glue is so STICKY, that it either keeps the foil, or it dont take the foil but makes the foil sticky... I'm sorry, are u kinda understanding what I'm trying to say? PLEASE HELP!! TFS & ily

+Robin Moses Nail Art Happy Birthday my Queen! ;p Another thing that stops foil from cracking, although I will admit it takes a long time to dry, is a water based glossy varnish used in crafting. Then once that dries hit it with ur top coat. BTW, you no longer use Best Glue Ever?

I've been using Dazzle Dry Base coat to seal the foil design - it then stops the chemical reaction (cracking) from happening. Cheers M

I know this is a really old video but what do you use for top coat that doesn't muddy up the design?
I believe Picture Polish has a foil top coat out. It doesn't crack or cloud the foil. Hope that helps!

use the foil adhesive over the top of the finished foils design before the top coat it stops the reaction happening
