Many Christians say that we shouldn’t judge others.
This is one of the greatest theological misunderstandings that I come across. They often quote ” Judge, not, that you be not judged.” (Matthew 7:1). Yet, they neglect to quote the following verses, which tell us exactly how we are to judge, thus completely taking the verse out of context. There are also a number of other verses about judging, those who profess to be Christians, but are living in a way that is antithetical to biblical Christianity.
Below is a video that I did a little while back, which teaches:
    - That we are commanded to judge these people
    - Why we are to judge these people
    - How we are to judge these people
Hopefully this helps to give people a better understanding on the matter.
    ruclips.net/video/u2aRyF6UaWk/видео.html
Ps. Do you actually realise that you are judging me for judging?
I thought you said we can’t judge??? Now your judging me???
    Do you see the irony…?
Check out the video link above to understand what the Bible says on the matter 🙂

Agree, we are to discern those things around us according to God’s WORD., I.e, teaching/warning brothers in Christ of their actions according to Gods Word, Church discipline and/or leading people to Christ! YES, we do judge but we do not condemn the soul. Only God knows the heart of heart and He alone sends people to hell because they chose that path. By living to God’s Word we can lead people Christ, help brothers in Christ grow and help lead apostates in the church to Christ. I thought this was an excellent video!!!!!!!

It has been my experience that, ni-universally, no one who has judged me has ever judged me correctly.
I used to never believe it was right to judge because judging unrighteously was the only reference point I had for judgement. Now I know better, but I wonder if a lot of other people have the same experience I have.

I just spoke to our daughter as well. It was easy for me because I told her me and her dad was young and didn’t know we were fornicating until the Holy Spirit spoke it to me at 19years old. He said we must marry. It’s going on 37years now. We married a year after I graduated high school. Our daughter waited 5 years with her guy. Then told me. I said baby Dad and I told you both about waiting and the honor of God it would bring on you both. I said I’m not judging you two. But I must tell you the truth. So we had the conversation. Be patient the Holy Spirit will guide you when the time is right. I spoke very lovely to our daughter about sex. She waited from high school to college. Right now I’m praying God will open their eyes regarding fornication and make things right in the eyes of God! Great message young man!

Just because they are more common and acceptable in the world than the other, doesn't make it less a work of the flesh or sinful. I have an issue with this as our modern world has no resemblance to the Biblical model. Nowhere in the Bible is it said that marriage involves a contract with the government. I would suggest that if 2 people swear a commitment to each other, and to God, and they operate as a married couple, and are Christians, I would say that they are not doing anything immoral. If they decided to separate then the same rules of marriage and divorce apply to them.

I agree with you whole-heartedly. BUT "shunning" is a hallmark of cults - such as Jehovah's Witnesses. Many churches wish to avoid being seen as a "cult" - so avoid confronting some issues. Also in the early church; the Christian community was tight-knit. For example in Corinth, there was only one Church - fellowshipping in many different homes, perhaps - but there would have been open communication between the various fellowships metting in different homes. If a person was disciplined for a specific sin, this would have been known through the whole Christian community in the city. Today, we have many different church denominations: if some one is disciplined in the way you suggest, he/she can easily move on to another church in the city/town. Thus this form of church discipline is unlikely to be as effective in today's church as it was in the early church. Of course, the ultimate goal of all such discipline is to bring a person to repentance and restoration in the faith...... as well as be a demonstration to others of the spiritual consequences of continuing to "live in sin".
As someone who has ministered in Congo over many years. I know that people can be "married" according to the tribal custom and traditions, without being legally "married". Legal "marriage" in Congo occurs in the town/city council offices in the presence of the Mayor (or his delegate). Christians who have been married according to tribal custom are considered to be "married" by the Church, even though they are not "married" legally. IN Australian churches, we do not have this distinction - though we do have people who live in "de-facto" marriage relationships recognised by the government.

My thinking is this……With the backing of all of these Comments, Matt will be puffed up enough to charge ahead of God. It will throw this family toward satan, but God will have the Last Word and ultimately need to chastise Matt for his actions . Will Matt then repent for what he has done not only to this family, but to his home church AND for steering the entire internet world of Christians who are following his LEAD ? Aaron's sons were instructed on how they had to approach God, but they chose to do it their own way. Same with people who ignore the sin in their lives. Trying to be comfortable. The Holy Spirit warns us and let's us know to seek God but we normally do the exact opposite and double down.

But because the government deems two people living together as common law marriage these couples then try and force the church to accept it. If the couple is regularly giving money, more often than not, the leaders will overlook it and push for a marriage. If the couple refuses, these same leaders will still overlook it and just agree with the state. The one important matter these leaders are eliminating is the doctrine of repentance. If leaders do this they have compromised a long time ago. This and other issues in the church do not happen in a vacuum. No repentance, no turning from a practice of sin to a practice of righteousness (although not perfection), and no discipline, then there is no biblical new testament church.

Excellent message! I have a question: years ago, we had a Bible study that a couple attended. They were both professing Christians, but they were living in sin together. One of the Bible study attendees said she was offended that they were attending, and she quit the group and took a few members with her. The ironic part is that the backslidden woman was a member in good standing at the offended woman's church. The offended woman wasn't concerned about that at all. The backslidden couple were not in positions of authority at all. They were just attendees. Anyway, later on, the man in that group fell under conviction, ended the relationship, and came back to Christ. Did we do the wrong thing in letting them attend the Bible studies?

Do this couple consider themselves “married”. Ie they are in a committed relationship devoted to each other and came together for the intention of making a family? Do you realise there is no description of a “marriage” ceremony in the Bible at all? There are mentions of a man/woman leaving their parents to become “man and wife” under their own home for the purpose to raise a family and become “man and wife”.
The whole tradition of a marriage ceremony and everything that comes with it I think is very good for society.
But don’t confuse what was Biblically referred to as marriage then is not the same as society’s marriage in the modern day.
Marriage was the public recognition that two young people were devoted and betrothed to one another for the purpose to live with each other and raise a family.
Ceremonies and “certificates” came much much later.
Marriage is good - even necessary. But the thought you’d kick out someone from church for literally living a version of marriage that is the same as would have been typical at the time of Christ worried me.

Church attendance is down and when someone or even a family starts attending , the congregation is thrilled. Their church actually has people who want to be active and participate with them and if they (the minister or any of its members) say anything to upset these new attendees, their numbers are drastically reduced, instead of upholding what is right. If that is ineffective, then two or three (pastor, elders, deacons, etc) need to approach in private to encourage him to turn from this sin. Explaining what the Bible says. Always in love and never judgement. If this is ineffective or he refuses to change his ways then it is to ask him to take sometime outside the church and pray about it. And that it is easier to forgive sins than to heal. Meaning, it’s easier for Me to forgive him than to change his conditions. He saw the faith of the man’s FRIENDS (that He could heal) and the man was healed. The scripture makes NO REFERENCE to the condition of the man’s heart. It does not mention repentance. He did not go there seeking forgiveness. No one in the room mentioned sins or forgiveness. It was Jesus who knew his heart. No one expected Jesus to say anything about sin..They expected a healing..And yet, Jesus gave it to him. Because of His friends faith, and to prove He could do it. Jesus heals and forgives WHO He chooses and WHY He chooses. We are not saved thru repentance. He healed the man to prove to the Pharisees that He had authority to forgive sins. Not because the man repented. He forgave the sin and warned the man about sin.
“Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.” In other words, forgiveness before repentance/contrition. It is more important for you all to be forgiving than it is for people to show acts of contrition.
Jesus paid the price for sins I am yet to commit..I’m forgiven before I even do it. My repentance did not pay for my sins. I did not earn forgiveness by repenting. I am led to repentance by Jesus’ hesed-what He did on the cross..Because of what He did for me. Not because of what I did to Him, man, or myself. I’m not repentant because I chose Him. Secular marriage is not Biblical. When two individuals become one flesh through sex, that's marriage in the Bible. Its why virginity was valued in antiquity Judaism, and the man had either the choice to marry the woman or pay the father a massive fine, a concept that is none-existent in "modern Christians" who are almost all adulterers by the time they "marry" by the secular standard. To even marry a woman, who's past husband is alive is adultery, save very few exceptions.
If the couple in question is loyal to one another, and they are repentant Christians within the Biblical standard, not under phony secular marriage, then there isn't a problem. The atheistic state has absolutely no bearing on Christian marriage, it is insane I even have to say this.
    Wives and Husbands
Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
    Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Eph 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Eph 5:33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Seems to me that the best course of action is to mind thy own business.

My old church had a person serving in ministry who has recently become a transgender. So they removed the person from ministry. They changed the disabled toilet to a gender neutral one. And the person continues in the church, partakes from the Lords table and provides no biblical counsel in love. The sane church was taught the Bible is no longer the authority, So the cultures tolerance thinking prevails. I pray my family will flee this false church.

I very much agree with this procedure but I wonder how many churches have actually practiced this? Pastors want to keep the income coming and if they dismiss believers for these sins, they might have to close. The problem I see is that leadership doesn't know what is going on in believer's lives to even call them out in this way.

Agree 100%. It's why I left churches altogether. If you're not going to follow the Word, and rather be a hypoocrit, It's no use being yoked to you. The pastor of the last church I attended, his daughter had an out of wedlock child at 16. He put it to a vote on whether he should be replaced, and everyone voted to keep him, and his daughter's situation and baby. If a man can't control his own family, he can't lead a larger flock. How confusing and " uncomfortable" for new believers to meet the unmarried and pregnant daughter of the pastor. Ridiculous. Money is probably involved. Big givers will cause most churches to overlook a host of sins.

    • @turquoismama33
      @turquoismama33 15 дней назад +1

Even good parents can't control their children, because the children have freedom of choice. The very reason our Savior doesn't force us to not sin. Do you know that pastors' families are a bigger target by our enemy?
I in no ways condone the behavior of anyone having sex outside of a marriage. But, once a child is conceived, that innocent child now becomes priority. And even our own Lord Jesus Christ has a purpose for that child and both parents in the child's life is best. Or, next best, having extended family in the child's life.
I would continue to strongly encourage this couple in the video to make things official. But we also have to remember that how marriage ceremonies look are cultural. The only problem I really have with the couple in the video is the admission of the female not being his wife. So, he is admitting he is not committed. We do have common law spouse laws in this(US of A) country. If they file their income taxes together, then are considered married.
I would question why he doesn't want to "make the commitment" and then go from there. Bottom line, he does need to make the commitment in some way, shape or form. Finding out why the lack of commitment addresses root issues. The shacking up is just symptoms of a deeper problem. He should not be in leadership or teaching position.
We also have to address the "Christian pastors" sticking their equipment(to put it discreetly) where ever they like. I would take a couple playing house over a grown man manipulating a person (because it's not just females) half their age or more, any day.

Quick question: do you follow the 10 commandments? All of them? Do you keep the Sabbath?

    • @lionoffireraw
      @lionoffireraw  3 дня назад

      Just a few truths…
The Bible does state that the sabbath was instituted for national Israel (Exodus 31:12-18)
(And there was no keeping of the sabbath prior to the exodus).
Moses' indication to Israel in Deuteronomy 5:15 that God had commanded observance of the seventh-day Sabbath as a memorial of Israel being delivered from its prior slavery in Egypt would seem to indicate that it had not been observed prior to that time.
Of the 10 commandments, nine of them are moral laws with the sabbath being a ceremonial law.
Even if we are to keep the Sabbath holy, We still do this today because every day is made holy in Christ. I also believe that we rest on the sabbath because our sabbath rest is found in Christ (Heb ch 7)
Colossians 2:16 talks about not having to keep days or Sabbath‘s. Some will say that that speaks about certain Sabbaths, but the fact that it mentions other days and ceremonies as well makes it clear that it is talking about the sabbath.
Romans 14 also says that some choose to keep one day more holy than others, and that they are allowed to, but we should make no distinction between days and that he hopes those that do keep certain days holy will receive their full freedom in Christ by recognising that all days are the same.
Also at the council of Jerusalem we see this was a place where it was discussed which old Testament laws the Christians would have to uphold. The sabbath is conspicuously absent in this very important council.
The sabbath is the only commandment in the new Testament which is never mentioned.
Many people say that the apostles worshipped on the sabbath, but this is not true. The verses they use is where they were actually in the synagogues on the sabbath and it says that this was because they were reasoning with the Jews to persuade them to follow Christ.
There are actually verses which say that the apostles broke bread on the Sunday and collected the offerings on the Sunday. This highlights Sunday worship, although I personally don’t think it matters on which day we do.
The sabbath was a foretaste of the rest that we now have in Christ!

Well, just tell the pastor to bring them both to the altar, and join their hands and have a church blessed wedding. Marriage licenses are a big joke, with the abomination being committed, just join them in a covenantal marriage before God and keep sure they stick to it. Write up a certificate in the church, like the Catholics do, and bind it before God. If they refuse to do that, then kick them out. They might not be able to afford marriage, either. It's a lot of hula-hoops, and certainly they have kids, so it's necessary to bless the family and keep it together. Make a big deal out of it, have a potluck rent horses. Or, just a ceremony like baptism. Whichever they choose, as the authority for marriage comes from God and the two's union, not the State.

    Morning Matt.
Well Matt, You make it sound so easy. But you are completely correct. It’s sounds harsh for that person but we are here following Jesus and doing our best to live according to the word of the Bible. The Bible clearly shows this situation is wrong. This church involved is actually throwing the word of the Bible out the door and acknowledging to the congregation we don’t follow Gods word in this church let’s just be happy. This church is obviously a seeker friendly church with no conviction for the value of the Christian faith. As this person continues to flaunt his disrespect for Gods teachings, it is definitely time to move on.
I asked my Elders recently about gay people attending the church. Their response was clear, if the are seeking the word of Jesus they are welcome, short term, but if they continue to show no signs of coming to the Lord, and ceasing their lifestyle they definitely could not be a part of the church community.
So Matt you are spot on.
    Great message. 🙏🙏❤️

I cannot find any traditional marriage instructions in the Bible , I can find that marriage is the union of two people, to pro create . From what. I understand the woman’ Father gives permission for that union and then they have a marriage celebration, informing all friends and family of the union. I can’t find anything about signing a register, pre nuptials ,or legally binding contracts . Can’t find anything about the bride being dressed in white , £20:000 receptions but worse I can’t find the actual ceremony? I can find parts of the Bible fitting to such a ceremony but no actual ceremony? If this man is not committing adultery and is committed to his wife and children through his committed relationship with her why are you all so uncomfortable with it ? Please examine your own hearts - this couple could be more committed to one another than many who have a bit of paper saying that they are legally married under the law - the law of what ? The law of Australia or the law of God ? If having a party 🎉 would make ya all feel more comfortable, why don’t you pay for it and bless the couple and the couple’s children instead of shaming and blaming! This man appears to be very involved with the church, loves God but perhaps like many is uncomfortable with law that is not of God but man made .
If you could only see just how judgemental you sound, it’s absolutely awful! Living in sin , no he isn’t living in sin if devoted to his partner! I wonder what you’d have to say about King Solomon? Yet you decided to pick out one member of your church who is faithful and devoted to his family but hasn’t got a man made license.
