I’m not a Bey stan, I don’t usually listen to this genre of music. I think this is AOTY. This is spectacular. Drake tried, but it was not executed well in my opinion. This album is a no-skip album. I DO think it was a risk, because as a solo project she had been away for 6 years, pandemic, things have changed. Who knows how it would be received. I do think it was risky. And she pulled it off flawlessly. This is a wonderful album.

Renaissance instantly my fave. I wasn’t on the Lemonade train. It was a great project don’t get me wrong but there are a few tracks on there I don’t love and it didn’t have a lot of bops it was more emotional. Anyways this album is flawless imo. FLAWLESS like no skips every song is great the vocals, the production, the cohesiveness, the transitions, everything it’s just so exquisitely done!

I was annoyed by Kelis coming for Bey, but Pharrell really did her dirty. She deserves better come on.
But, the song was written by Chad & Pharrell & it was offered to Britney Spears BEFORE Kelis got it!

Self-Titled and Renaissance are pretty close to me as far as Beyoncé’s best album. I appreciate Lemonade but I don’t love it. B’Day is a lot of bops, but that’s all it’s giving you are bops. Renaissance could become my definite fav over time.

I see so many of you love the record. I honestly don't get it. Am I missing something? It just doesn't do anything for me.
And no matter what, if the album is good or bad it will be overplayed, as you see already album of the year, it's crazy because no matter what the record industry is so bias and the pressure is now on to make sure the publicity for this album is over the top. I'm not knocking it, I'm just not liking it.
First play i didn't get it and wasn't into it. Next day i listened again and also followed up on the references and it made so much more sense. Now i listen every day. The transitions are fire lyrics could've been better on some things but overall i will definitely give it 9/10

Performing is an art too. Bey does work on her own music tho. The analogy you are trying to make would be more accurate if you said you bought the blueprints and then went on to build the buildings yourself, and add your own designs to them as you go.
