    also, during stimulation, you can move either frozen or pinned while something is sewn to this piece or attached to it with a pin

    Really helpful, but please keep an eye on your volume levels. This video is really quiet compared to the others I have watched, which means cranking my volume levels way up. If I forget and play another video with correct levels, I could end up with problems, especially if I use headphones.

      All the default avatars have arrangement points and you get load a basic set on your custom avatars and then just made some edits.

    • @LoriGriffiths
      @LoriGriffiths  3 года назад

      Select the pattern then - Property Editor > Arrangement > Shape Style > Curved

    Sorry Lori
    when I import my one model I cant see those arrangement points? They can be used only for default MD avatars?

    • @LoriGriffiths
      @LoriGriffiths  8 лет назад +2

      +ana bogdanovic You have to create the bounding volumes and arrangement points for any custom models that you bring into the program. Check out this article and video to learn how to do that - www.fearlessmakers.com/md-bounding-volumes-arrangement-points/

    This helped me a ton in MD7. One question, how do I sew the belt to, say, an upper shirt?

    • @LoriGriffiths
      @LoriGriffiths  6 лет назад

      You can use belt loops to hold it, but that can be tricky. You can use pins to tack it in place. If you sew it, it becomes very obvious and doesn't look quite right. Hope that helps.

      Do you have a link to how to use pins in MD7?

    • @LoriGriffiths

      No, I haven't really covered that in a tutorial. You could try the MD manual. manual.marvelousdesigner.com/display/MD4M/Multiple+Pinning

    Hi Lori, I'm having troubles trying to create socks and gloves in marvelous designer, is this even possible to create? If it is I would like to know if you can do a tutorial for this items. Thank you!

    • @LoriGriffiths
      @LoriGriffiths  7 лет назад +1

      These are very difficult to do in MD. You might consider making them in another 3D program instead.

    Hi! I have MD5 and it doesn't have "leather belt" selection it only has "leather". Are those diferent and how can i get "leather belt"? Should i download it?

    • @LoriGriffiths
      @LoriGriffiths  8 лет назад

      MD is constantly changing the fabric presets. in MD 5.5 you now have two different leathers. You have Leather and Full Grain Leather. The first is software and the second is very stiff. You can try those.

    one question : i want to try this programm .... do i have to buy it or is it for free ... i was on the website i do not really understand if i have to buy it or if i have the possibility to have it for free ....
    please answer !!!!

    • @LoriGriffiths
      @LoriGriffiths  9 лет назад +1

      Fsimo14J Marvelous Designer is definitely not free. They do have a 15 day trial, if you want to test it out. After the trial, you can pay $60 a month or $360 per year in subscription fees to keep it. I wouldn't suggest the Perpetual License at $550 because it doesn't include automatic upgrades, like the subscription options. Hope that helps.

    • @LoriGriffiths

      Any model you import into MD can have bounding volumes and arrangement points. You can start with the default set and customize it.

    I never saw a belt like that, I mean there no buckle at all on your belt. It would be really usefull to show us a way to have a rigid buckle attached to the belt when animated. Good job anyway ...but something is missing .

    • @LoriGriffiths
      @LoriGriffiths  8 лет назад +3

      You'll have to add the belt in another program, like Maya or Blender. You can't animate rigid objects in MD at this time. If you brought in a buckle, it would just stick in space. Thanks for watching.

    • @anfauglir56
      @anfauglir56 8 лет назад

      Thanks for the answer ! I suppose and hope they 'll add that feature in a near future. Could be really usefull.
      A trick could be too use their more rigid cloth ( leather belt) in stitched layers to make that buckle and replace it later when the animation is calculated, by a rigid object.

    olga Jeanne rose Since I don't have your table, I can't work on this for you. Would you like to send me your entire project? Create a new folder somewhere on your computer, then In MD select File > Save As > Project and put it in the new folder. This will generate two files, one is a PNG. Now compress the folder (zip it). You can attach that zip file to an email to me at Lori(at)FearlessMakers.com. I'll take a look at it for you.
