If you ever wondered how to make a leather rose from chrome tan leather with no wet molding, you've finally found the right place! This will not require veg tan leather but it will require a heat source to curl the rose petals. This build was heavily inspired by Beauty and The Beast, with additional instructions on how to turn the build into a "thorn" (leather craft needle) holder! This DIY leather pattern is available as a PDF from the website.
Leatherworking tools needed:
1-2 square feet of leather (2-3.5 ounces is recommended)
Leather cement (or a hot glue gun if you don't want to stitch)
A dowel, chopstick, wood skewer, or thin pen (used as stem)
Lighter/Kitchen Torch

after the slingbag that I still need to make, and a few small projects (breast collar for my son’s horse), I will hopefully get to this pattern. I have some cool purple upholstery leather that will probably be perfect for this.
Dang, man, that is some "K"ommitment posting during the super bowl! I thought the torch technique was super cool! But my favorite part was not only did you include a stem but you also added leaves! So beautiful! Great work man

How to make a How to, without the materials to do it. What weight leather? waxed or un waxed tread? I mean, we need to KNOW HOW TO.....
