@@furqanjaved804 I love the kind of humour that this show provides. You can watch any episode from any season and you won't get bored. Charlie Sheen, love him or dislike him, was and is a legendary talent. This was one of the last roasts where the talent at the roast was on par with the person being roasted. And no matter what wrong Sheen did.. what Chuck Lorre did will never be forgiven. The only reason anyone "validates how he tried to help Charlie" is because Lorre has yet to be cancelled. When that happens.. people are going to remember Charlie as the legend he is.
I am a huge fan of Apocalypse Now and have watched documentaries on its making. It was brutal, raw, experience, but man did it pay off. When C. Sheen mentions that he was playing with severed heads on the Kurtz compound when he was 10, I loved him even more than I already did. He's a mess. But he is a survivor of the first water, and he's got a sense of humor about himself. I love people who can laugh at themselves.
@@malcolmtudor8039 You obviously haven't watched the complete roast. Try watching a program before you comment on it. Charlie Sheen says he played with severed heads on the Kurtz compound. @@theeclectic2919 Yeah, that was pretty weird. But it took 16 months to shoot the movie. I don't know the entire story, but it's possible that Sheen's family only visited the set for a short time. Actually, who knows if Charlie played with severed heads or whether that was just how he said it for comic effect at a roast? But his reference to the film as an indication of his lifelong ability to survive anything appealed to me.
Patrice O'Neal's bit was hilarious. I particularly liked what he said to Seth MacFarlane. He told him he should come out of the closet because "no straight man writes that many show tunes." Since Brian's and Stewie's numbers are my favorite aspects of Family Guy, I loved that.
One of the best roasts. Funny, they took jabs at each other, but it never got malicious or too harsh. This is exactly how it should be and I think Charlie's personality helped that. And Kate Walsh looked stunning.
I agree, but also think that determining if a joke about someone is too harsh is always difficult to tell. To some ppl the level of harshness may be looked at differently. No one went overboard considering the absolute insane things Charlie had been saying so I think they could have been harsher/ imaginative, as long as it was funny is all that matters. I suppose I can feel it's harsh when it's Pam Anderson or Bruce Willis is the roastee and they seem like really nice people and if they have kids I feel bad for them but at the same time it's a roast and for sake of comedy, comedians shouldn't hold back.
Have you noticed that Steve-O didn't laugh at the roast against Charlie, except once with the two and half men joke by Jon Lovitz, the rest av them all he just barely clapped. When Charlie do the roast against them, he smiled/laughed. He got respect for Charlie❤
Charlie Sheen always gives his autograph to anyone who asks for it when he's recognized. Although he loves baseball he had to stop going to baseball games, because the entire time he was there, kids would come to him and ask him to sign their baseball and he could not turn them down, because the child would think about that for the rest of his life.
Charlie attacked Jon in real life, and Jon understandably took it personally. Jon saw the worst of Charlie, and he wasn't going to just gently rib him during a roast. There is real bad blood between them. I don't think Jon found any of this funny because he actually cared about Charlie and saw how serious his problems were.
Something that just occurred to me: the roasters only have to work on their one set about the roastee. But the roastee has to have sets practiced and memorized for every roaster.
