So jealous, I obviously couldn't afford the so called "budget gaming laptop" for over $1K, guess the price really hasn't came down much at all in the past 17 years for gaming laptops.
Its rtx 3060, if you cant afford it then dont look at it. Look for lower specs

@@vakavi. Not that high because of the new fan...but it can get a little loud..if you want to you can make the fan go a lil quitier at the cost of heat..but for the exact temps idk
i think i just got the exact same laptop but i can't figure out how to make the keyboard a different color then the white. it doesn't change when i do FN+ Spacebar
The backlight feature is depends on models. Some have RGB backlit while some only have white backlit. Of course the ones feature RGB cost more. Plus, the backlit setting have to be done in Lenovo Vantage.

Mike came with some flimsy metal tray looking thing anyone know what it is for?? Comes with some other stuff as well that looks like it can plug in
This is a tray for 2.5" SSDs. By default the internals have some empty space with holes for M.2 SSDs, but you can install this metal tray in there and install a 2.5" SSD (or god forbid a hard drive) if you want to.

about 4/3 hours, at maximum. There's some cases the battery reached 7 hours, but it's rare.
Hello i currently own this laptop..and yes it can but there's no point in that...because in order to acheive such high range battery power you need to make the screen 60hz,turn off Nvidia,Rgb,etc...and it's basically gonna be a basic laptop

Yes and you can increase boost the power more to get better play. Must require a fan underneath if your going to play ultra setting.
If you lower though you do get less heat issue

I have it with ryzen 5 5800H and GTX 3050 ti. Battery life is rather poor. I would say it last 3 hours but I don't care. With other hardware configuration you should expect different battery life, but no more than 5 hours. But I didn't bought it because of it portability and battery live. I wanted cheap laptop with CPU that is close to mobile workstation performance. Geekbench is 1450 single core 6000 multicore with single channel or 8000 with dual channel memory. So price/ performance wise this laptop was more than 100$ cheaper than other options like Acer Nitro 5, HP Victus and Pavilion and so on. If you want battery life you should look into low voltage CPUs. In this laptop hardware is not power restricted it have high frequency and clocks. Good for performance and gaming, bad for cooling and battery life.

Regarding me, I don't need battery life because I wouldn't take it outside, but I want good performance on genshin and also I'd like it to be fast with normal stuff like browser, blender, obs, adobe programs.

Also some people say lenovo is bad and hp and dell is better, but maybe it's just competition spreading hate
@@hugrid9647 as for GPU 3050Ti is rather meh... It is okey for casual and not demanding gaming but dont expect to be high performance GPU. Blender is fine, but rtx 3060 is i almost twice faster. As for the CPU (5800H) it is very good. it chews through any workload without any problem. I think this laptop can survive 10 years only if you are careful with hinges, but you said you wont carry it that much. Gaming laptops should be cleaned inside more often to prevent overheating important for longevity. As for build quality it is average. ASUS TUFs in my opinion have superior plastics and hinges at first impression, which is better for longevity, but are more pricey and you will have worse specs. So overall all brands have bad models and good models. Generally I recommend this laptop only if you want to squeeze maximum performance per buck and ONLY if you need dedicated GPU and powerful CPU. And if a deal is good like 900 $.(i picked my for this price few weeks ago) There are much better options if you look for screen, chassis, overall build quality. Check for MSI Katana, Gigabyte a5 if you need more powerful GPU

@@hugrid9647 For gaming and 3D visual creativity software faster GPU definitely yes. For other general computer tasks CPU is more important. But it depends on specific application. Keep in mind there are some render engines that aren't GPU accelerated , or some 3D programs like Houdini benefit much more from fast CPU and a ton of ram to calculate simulations, which are too big to be GPU accelerated if supported at all. For blender definitely will benefit more from 3060 than multi core CPU . It depends on your needs what suit you better.

no not really but u can get a laptop cooler to not overheat it if its in summer
hows the battery life while gaming?
I try play Genshin with unplug, battery estimate about 46 mins at 90%. However i don't know how to get exactly test result.😅
