I may not be the most active and fit person in the world, but for the past week I’ve being challenging myself to do 100 push ups a day. Every day it becomes easier and easier and for some people 100 push ups in a day is a walk in the park but for me I’m proud.

Life is mostly 90% mental. I went into service to change my life. I wanted more, better, etc. As i got on the bus for basic, I'll never forget a MSG Diaz (didn't really know the rank but he had bigger SGT thingys on his collar). He said to me "when shit gets hard, and it will, i want you to ask yourself 1 thing. How bad do you want it? See ya when you get home." That statement changed my life.

There really isn’t enough information on working hard and smart out there.
This was straight to the point with great examples.
    Everyone needs to see this.
Thank you Sir. Great new intro too.

Working smarter increases efficiency, efficiency only goes up to 1x, and it multiplies work. Thus work is the root of all progress, and working smarter just increases the efficiency and results.
Ex: i decided one day to turn my life around (around the time i found this channel btw), a few months ago. Part of it was fitness most was lifestyle. i did the research on what i wanted to change, recorded my tics, my weaknesses, to address and avoid. Found a quality training program.
2 months ago i could manage 5 pushups, a hundred regular squats, and not even 1 regulation pull up. Worked at it, followed the layout of the program, im up to 101 pushups 51 pullups and 101 squats (modified to make more difficult safely) in 28 minutes. Next goal is sub 15, then i move on to the next level of the program.
Smarter and harder, sometimes you can export a bit of the thinking and research but not always and even to do so shows intelligence of another kind.
    Good luck to everyone!

Before this video even came out, I always told myself to not only work smart but also work hard. I thought it was a good idea until I eventually got swept up with the only work smart not hard saying and thought nobody else would ever think the same thing as me. After finding and watching this, it's honestly such a great pleasure to know that I was correct in my thoughts and that me and the creator of the channel can really connect.

If you are 40 and have not realized you have been doing it wrong each day every day since you have finally came to terms with you have been doing it wrong, you’re doing it wrong.
Did you ever have it right? Who comes to you for answers and wants to learn your way? How can it be shown?
When you love what you’re going and others tell you you have a gift, you’ve got it right!
    Keep that up!❤️👍🏽🇺🇸

There is no day i dont workout and train my mind ..there are no excuses to dont be the hardest fuck*n worker in everything..you do it for your self.not for others. people ask me all the time . Why you training so hard ..what can give you ? It give me the courage that many people cant do the things i do . I hate excuses, i just dot the job .. in one day i do 100-200 pull ups , 500+ push ups , do a regular 1 hour workout and go for running 3-5 miles and everything in perfect form ..as i know that people dont understand me and start to hate me than mean im winning..i will die before i quit..i don't know easy buttons because i dont want to know easy buttons.. something that i have learned and i made it my best friend is something that everyone hates it ..and this is the suffering or successful button..it hurts but this is the best and my favourite way ti be the ONE i always wanted to be

One caveat, it's common to "reward" EFFORT. In today's culture it equates to championing mediocrity.
    Reward RESULTS, not effort.
Participation trophy's are for those who live for validation.

It's important not to over do it. Stress and soreness are two things that are absolutely detrimental to progression as an athlete and as many steps as possible should be taken to reduce them. Employing volumetric training as opposed to pure intensity has been proven to be more beneficial for athletes competing to a high standard. Stress, especially background stress will stifle your ability to recover and leave you in a state of frustration where you are tired and can not concentrate properly. There are many steps that can be taken to reduce stress that I won't get into but can easily be found online, for example working at a job for more than 38 hours even by a single hour has been proven to contribute greatly towards stress and fatigue and even lowered work output, working anything greater than 40 hours per weak can not be considered smart if all you're looking for is pure efficiency of work output and improvement.

Working hard doing the wrong things. If I only had a dollar for every time I've been forced to watch or participate in such energy wasting endeavors. The real frustrating part is when you attempt to show a better way and they reject your information and stay committed to doing the wrong thing. Because "that's the way we've always done it " This is where the term, "you're killing me" was born.

I remember watching a video of yours that talked about how when you went to basic they didn't teach you how to run with great form and the PT wasn't the best for making soldier. I'm happy to say in some aspects the military has gotten better. But I'd still say the PT could use a overhaul. I just finished basic and there are still multiple people who can't pass the new ACFT. The military has put out. It's quite said.
