16 years ago when I went there, Mauritius was truly a paradise. There were no bars, paid umbrellas, or cars everywhere. There were few tourists, but they were good enough that you could even go skinny dipping because the person next to you was more than 1 kilometer away. But now, I understand that 16 years have passed and that's a long time, but I don't know if I would find the same sense of peace there now.
Mauritius is growing very fast. Trams and large shopping malls were also built. I visit Mauritius every year. I think this pace of change is very fast. Thank you for watching this video.

16 Years ago - you probably were on the east or something. The North was like this 16 years ago as well - less tourists but still a ton of resorts.
I think you have Mauritius mixed up with Mars. I've been going there for over 20 years and I never ever experienced that nonsense you talk about.
