There was a clean 3-5 foot face WNW swell still in the water on 12-18-2023. A random sandbar in San Diego got really clean and lined up during this run of swell. A handful of surfers that knew about it were on it this late afternoon. The wave offered a clean line to do 1-2 turns off the top on. A few of the waves that wedged on the take off offered a quick barrel section as well. Surfers such as Daniel Anthony, Colin Smith, Tim Penney, and Trevor Richardson were all scoring some great waves.
