I'm just gonna pretend the ruination event never happened and that Riot's writing was always top tier
The Ruination event was when the Marketing Team was like: "Tencent/Riot said it's my turn on the Writing Table now!"
Ruination has potential, but the difficult working condition butcher the execution. Covid, work at home, lack of communication and human resources. And it was even worse consider all the side aspects, the Ruination game, WR launch, mental challenges. Everything stacked on top of each other ready to rumble. It was a miracle Riot survive and recover.
To be honest, I would rather have them trying things every now and then, maybe messing things up a few times. It is that sorta thinking that leads to creative and entertaining stories. As long as they try to create the best story and not put idiotic things (such as political or personal opinions) into them, I am totally fine with a few "Ruinations".

The best character here is Rakan, if you pay close attention he isn’t perfectly happy with Ahri and co, when he speaks about it, he shows genuine sadness and grief over their abandonment, but he doesn’t harbour any hate for them, instead he speaks perfectly to convey what Ahri did wrong to him and what he feels about it.

Twin stars is one of the best stories Riot has made in my opinion, I would've loved to see this fight animated so much, I hope we get it someday.

@@tisgoyo Rakan and Xayah were breaking free from Zoe’s influence, but she fought back and nearly killed Xayah again with her influence. Rakan was able to purge her of her corruption by absorbing all of it into himself essentially freeing Xayah, then he sacrificed himself to stop a giant Zoe.

The way Xayah and Sarah's emotions were written here is just painfully perfect, I teared up so much when Xayah was enraged at them for abandoning her and how she thought she returned to life with 2 betrayal but knowing Neeko survived too there were actually 3 and Sarah shouted back she might be alive, but she wasn't living bc she felt so guilty for Xayah, Rakan and Neeko death. It was just gut wrenching.
And Rakan's sacrifice was the cherry on top of this amazing story.
I really hope Riot will turn SG into an animated series like they did with Arcane.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that, canonically, in the Star Guardian universe, Kassadin owns a pet shelter and Pantheon owns a bakery.

I remember when Star Guardian Lux was the only champ of the line I ever saw and it repulsed me because I’m not a big pink person. I figured they were just Sailor Moon rip offs… flash forward 5-6 years and it’s one of my favorite skin lines and I’m racing through RUclips to find out more about them 😂

Same. The Lux skin was the fist one I've even seen from Star Guardians and it made me dislike the concept, her skin was just awful (and still is for me), but now I really like the story and characters.

Necrit, I have a hint that Xayah, while finding ways to get back to Rakan, formed a new team, and that's the new team for Wildrift. Many promotional art for Wildrift includes an Uncorrupted Xayah with Orianna, Seraphine and Senna.

@@garciaalexanderdean8728 it was. The event we currently have in wild rift covers the part where Xayah, with her new found team, Seraphine, Orianna, and Senna is trying to find the corrupted Rakan. Also with the help of Miss Fortune and Ahri.
@@ginsmyth334 so we do get 2 totaly different storylines. the Xayah story in WR and the new SG from Valorant, who where chosen by Lux and the others to protect the city while they are away to look for rakhan as well on PC. but still somewhat strange because the story here would assume the team seaching together
My boy Rakan finally got the spotlight he deserved, but I still hoped there is a way for Rakan to come back.
I've read somewhere that Wild Rift has a Star Guardian event that covers this. Basically it's the story that happens right after Xayah shoots off to find Rakan. Also Wild Rift has "Redeemed" SG Xayah & Rakan skins.

Ngl I was choking up the tears listening to Rakan's exit, especially after watching the music video. But this story only explains Xayah's grief in the MV, so what the hell happened between Kai'sa and Akali??? Hope that there's another story coming

@@julieryuan1174 Rakan still belongs to Zoe, technically speaking. If you watch their release trailer you see he's slowly freeing xayah from the darkness over time.
As for Akali and Kai'sa, the current understanding is that the pair "seem" to have different ideas on how things should be done. Like Akali feels more of a loner where Kai'sa is dead set on always being together.

Love how syndra is just that powerful, wish she had more spotlight in the fight tho , she just goes about her business after lol love her for that.
It's so shounen. She'll have one or two fights in the anime where she shows barely anything off, even though everyone knows she's super strong.

@@Syndra_maximoff1 They referenced the SyndraxZed fan manga in her Withered Rose skin, so they could do something with them. I don't know if they even really care about Syndra though, since she's not popular enough to market, or badly designed enough to draw that kind of attention.
I follow your thoughts on this. It was always known that syndra was something else from the very beginning, however, now knowing the story behind Zoe, fiddlesticks and their old, ancient team, it was clear the only one that could stand up against Zoe is Syndra and being how she is, Syndra might now go towards a personal goal up to her ambition and that's where Morgana comes to play.

the star guardian lore is trily one of riots best work, not only are the visuals beautfiul, but the story is so tragically amazing, the relationships are increbily well built, and it has the perfect mix of love and chaos
I kinda understand why the new MV is called “Everything goes on”😭😭😭 ✨⭐️✨
I really loved this last story, it gives a suiting end to a story that had been building up for 5 years. The only problem I had with is that it didn’t end with lux as the protagonist/narrator. She had served as the main narrator during all the 3 short stories, and in twin stars she became more of a side character in favor of Sarah. I get why they did it, since it was all about the old team reconciling together to fight of Zoe. But it still feels wrong that she didn’t get to close the chapter, when she virtually guided it through the whole series.
Maybe bcz this means that Star Guardian lore has yet to come to an end, we might get further progression into the lore in the future where Lux would make a smashing come bck hopefully.
@@mouradsofian2925 I’m not really sure we’ll ever see that. This felt like lux’s arc, it was her story. Currently it looks more like we are looking into a new generation of star guardians rather than a comeback from lux

firsthand experience in reading event lore or lore in general might be great but it won't beat Necrit's voice and narration which I personally enjoy while doing my own stuff
Rakan, being both best boy, and the MvP of the story really makes me happy, as a Rakan Main.

It is incredible how people tend to oversee how powerful Syndra really is in the original lore, is just that Riot has not given her any love in the official lore for years, actually.
So wait, did lux ever die? Akali has a voice line towards kai’sa saying “Do you wanna be a statue like Lux?”
People think it’s more akin to Akali asking Kaisa not to get too wrapped up in her SG duties, as Lux is never around anymore and it’s possible people built a statue in her honor in Valoran city since they know about the Star Guardians now
@@ic4192 No, Lux and most of the old star guardians are like, dead. Apparently the "fate" that most SG legendaries reference while talking to Janna is that at the end of being a Star Guardian, you literally become a statue. HOWEVER, Star Guardian Gwen lore is that she is an ancient SG (Zoe's teammate, actually) who they managed to free, so while not "dead" dead, they are definetly out of comission until new lore.

I think she just recruited the Kai Sa and let Kai Sa recruit her own members just as Lux did before but it wouldn't make sense if we say that Lux chased after Xayah since Akali's voiceline said that Lux turned into stone or something

Could be more like Lux has become so wrapped up in the SG stuff that she's not around anymore. Maybe even gone missing. The statue thing is probably literal, as this new SG story will be now in a world where the SG are common knowledge to the general public. Lux literally has a statue in the rebuilt city most likely.

As a new person to league of legends still, I heavily enjoy this story and necrit's lore videos going over and detailing it.
I actually love this. SG lore is always the best one 🥰 I just hope we get cinematic video of some fights like we got 2/3 years ago.
Otherwise story is just beautiful and it made me tear up on some parts. I loved it ♥️
Perhaps Wild Rift SG event will be focused on Xayah and Rakan while LoL PC will be focused on Kaisa and Akali

Faking allegiance to Zoe so she can keep her in check, and be aware of where she is? Or is she ACTUALLY on Zoe's side? The grin she had when Ahri and Neeko arrived in the nick of time kinda messed me up

No, I don't believe she works for Zoe at all. In this story, Miss Fortune arrives and sees that there is evidence of a fight between her and Syndra. Syndra was strong enough to stand up to her and I guess that made way for conversation.
From the previous stories, we know that Ahri and Miss Fortune found other "orphaned" star guardians to form a new team. This means that Ezreal, Soraka, and Syndra all had their own teams who are now either dead or disbanded. I think it's safe to assume that Zoe was involved in the death of Syndra's old team because of her lore. So while Syndra is not openly hostile towards Zoe like Ahri and Miss Fortune are, I think she's planning to deal with or manipulate Zoe's power in some way. My main point of evidence for this is that she did not join in on the battle that would've let her kill Zoe.
I think she's a vigilante of sorts with her own agenda. From her off-screen fight we know that they're not allies, and from her lack of action we also know she's not a true ally to Ahri's team. To me, it seemed like Syndra was studying the fight instead of just standing idly by. She likely joined Ahri's team because they just had a common interest in Zoe.
Actually there was a slight leak by big bad bear proving that Zoe and syndra were actually part of a team before. Until zoe betrayed them and the outcome left zoe either creating or controlling fiddlesticks while being a super super extremely powerful being. While syndra was the only one left alive and it made her extremely powerful and immortal with her lifetime goal being to either save zoe or end her herself.
This is just fan theory speculation
There is also hints that the 3 others that died there stars and powers were inherented by the new star guardian teams. (Lux, ahri, seraphine ) then ahri past down her power to lux and lux then past some of hers down to kaisa (making kaisa extremely powerful herself seeing that the story makes her seem like she has great natural potential)

I watch the video with the client in background with the new SG music and it made this already good video so much better, the music went well with you speaking and the events happening.
As a Xayah main, this story and the animation with it made me cry. It's sooo good though and I also recommend reading the story yourself.

My favorite skin line used to be Project, but Star Guardian has overcome it with superior story and amazing skins for some of my favorite champions.

I love how there are some elements of the Madoka Magica anime placed in the star guardian lore.
Man I am so happy about this event, this has been everything sentinels of light could have been in terms of lore and world building but it just couldn't be due to terrible planning.
In terms of SG alone, I am so grateful to riot to finally give Syndra the love and respect she deserves being finally portrayed as one of the most powerful (maybe the most powerful) SGs at the level of the corrupted ones, the question here is if she will then, work on her own aside the SGs established to pursue whatever her goal is, or, if she will somehow betray the prime star to deal with the star nemesis on her own.
What a time to be a Syndra main.
The most tragic part about all of this is that there doesn't seem to be a pve event

Maybe Syndra, Zoe, Fiddlesticks (human), Morgana and Janna were all part of a team before they got corrupted? Fiddle was clearly a Star Guardian that was completely corrupted, Morgana too, but not as bad as Fiddle. Zoe was corrupted, but not as bad as Morgana. Syndra was corrupted but not as bad as Zoe (hence her eyepatch concealing her corruption). which leaves Janna being the only one to escape unscathed.
I think Janna was a part of their team because she knows a LOT about Syndra's past and winces every time Syndra is mentioned around her, she mentors Lux and her bio states;
"A veteran Star Guardian, Janna now mentors the young and impressionable Lux. This seasoned Guardian rarely offers information about her mysterious past, and often seems preoccupied with memories of another place and time in her life. While distant and soft-spoken, Janna is the wisest of her team, holding a wealth of knowledge about their greater purpose and gently guiding them towards true understanding."
Gwen (in LoR) was in their team too I think.
I'm actually excited how the new villains will play their role in the next story. Oh how I wish they would make an anime about star guardian lore that would be really good imo

Dark star is in the same universe as star guardian. Maybe lux turns into cosmic lux.

StarGuardian lore really is vast enough to generate their own anime. Im not even kidding, if riot keeps pumping out series to netflix this is the next story i want to see cos its incredible enough written not to see it animated.

I wasn't expecting the story to be THAT GOOD! It blew me away. I was never a fan of Rakan but damn, he got the best ending while creating a perfect path for the new generation to continue. Is clear that Kai'sa wants to go out in a similar blaze of glory and that Akali knows the futility behind that sort of action, I hope they don't drop the ball during the event.
How I wish this star guardian has its own netflix series like arcane

Hope you still read comments: I really loved hearing every second of the lore it was so interesting and deep i didn't spew a word. I also now understand why in one of tge SG shorts Xayah said "will i be able to save him?" Meaning Rakan after sacrificing himself to get rid of Zoey's infection on Xayah. For me SG is the best thing to come out of League but there is one question remains unsolved for me: If Xayah went looking for Rakan by herself how did she meet Senna,Seraphine and Orianna?
