I'm very curious what the golden silicone hearts are for. I know someone suggested using the cutting after molding back in the machine, but it appears to be heat pressing the hearts to shape them, so the silicone would likely be too far into the curing process.

I milled rubber for 20 years. You scare the hell out of me with your fingers in the dam and running that putty knife in the dam. Loved working the mill. They say, you could tell an old rubber Miller by his finger tips missing. Then he went to molding rubber.
I did this straight out of school at 17. Learned on a mill below a banbury 11 mixer. The mill boles were about 36-48 inches diameter. I had an intrductory demo for about 3 minutes then it was my turn. Watching how they've overloaded the mill and getting their hands so close to the nip set every hair down my back on end. This factory must be a nightmare to work in. You can tell an ex mill man by counting the number of hands he has???

I see these videos. I use silicone but it comes in a tube, I've seen casting silicone, that comes in a bucket. What does all this silicone get used for?
We see more and more products made out of silicone instead of plastic. A company will mold the silicone( once they color it to the desired color) into different products such as silicone bakeware, decorations, etc. It is resilient, durable material that is more ocean-friendly than plastic as it doesn't break down like plastic causing issues for sea animals.. It can also be recycled and doesn't lose its color like plastic products.

At least SOMEONE finally showed what is done with this silicone after the rolling process.. Thanks!
There's a channel that does silicone rolling for keyboard covers too, silicone has tons of uses; phone cases, stickers, furniture applications, etc.
I still don't understand what it is but you are correct.

How often do the pigments or dyes co.e into your hands and color them? I imagine your hands would be very colorful after a long day.
