Mich nimmt wunder wie diese Runde auf Michelins statt Pirellis ausgesehen hätte. Ich kann mir nur schwer vorstellen, dass der M8 über sechs Sekunden schneller sein soll bei höherem Gewicht.

@@mak252 that's legit 625 horsepower to the wheels and somewhere north of 720 horsepower at the crank. I remind you this was tested at a world famous dyno in Detroit motor city and not only there but search it online and you will be amazed
You would never think that a sedan could go this fast on the Ring! This is about the same time as for the Carrera GT 😳
Terry Forth to be fair the carrera gt record was set on probably really crappy tires compared to what you can get today. If they bring it back with new michelin ps4’s it would probably be much quicker.
Augusto O.R of course the tires are not current. The point is the level of progress in car performance (which includes the tires of course!).
Terry Forth i agree the new m5’s performance is amazing for its size. Its become more of a computer than a car at this point.

It's a very quick lap considering the car's on crappy Pirelli P-Zeros. AMG GT63S, Jag Project 8 are both on Cup 2, and the Giulia QV should be on PZero Corsa as sold cars

7:35.9 while using just Pzero tires. On Cup2Rs like the GT63s, it would easily do 10s faster.
More than 10s, because it would be much easier to drive (much more stable/controllable), I think this car with the correct tyres and a perfect temperature would go 7.22/23
I found that you need to 'short shift' from 6 to 7 around 275-280, it ride it to the red line for no good reason, and you end up with loss of acceleration due to the wide power band, when you downshift you are right back into the peak power 6->7, something BMW might want to look into, as sitting at 7,000 in 6'th is not producing the power power (vs down shift) or being most fuel efficient (lol).
That is the messiest lap ever. Horrible understeer, snap oversteer, phone kept ringing, fogged up windshield, and murdered a bird 😂
Imagine how quick that lap would have been without the bird strike 3:55 into the lap 😏

I love this car!. A chubby, almost 2 tons vehicle with four doors. Not a fan of the fake engine noise. And the bird situation? Insane!

Die Reifen scheinen nicht die beste Wahl für die Rennstrecke gewesen zu sein. Mit Michelin Pilot Cup 2 Reifen wäre eine bessere Rundenzeit möglich.

Its just my opinion: I felt maybe you aren't in your best days, and not felt very congruent with the car and the track. But its just a day, am im sure you continue to generate amazing lap times 👍🏎💨💨
bin ich der einzige der auf das lustig im wind tanzende federchen geguckt hat und gehofft hat das es endlich ab fliegt
btw. der M5 ist auf niveau eines R8 GT, schneller als ein R8 V10 plus und nur eine sekunde langsamer als ein Nissan GTR, ganz schön krass für ein 2tonnen schiff

F10 M5 ran a 7:54 in the 2014 Sport Auto test, so this one is a good improvement. It's also quicker than the Panamera Turbo, though they don't quite compete in the same segment ofc. Have to say the car's heft moves it around way more than the (heavier?) Panam did though, so the car is quick but possibly not as enjoyable/suited.

7:46 I can see a lot of fog at the front windshield ,look small pic below big one. Bad vision = danger . That indicates something is wrong with air flow inside cabin , or car suffer from not enough power when air condition is on ? xD I highly doubt that car have no enough power when air condition is on.
Maybe they turned AC off as it affects engine power, although very marginally in this case. Could also be that they have the air recirculation enabled for some reason or by accident.
