At that time the in 1970 Phase III GTHO was the worlds fastest four-door production car. Performance: Top speed: 228 km/h (142 mph) @ 6150rpm 0 - 60 mph - 6.4 seconds 0 - 100 km - 6.9 seconds Standing 1/4 mile (400m) - 14.4 seconds using the standard 3.25:1 Detroit Locker diff ratio. this is back in 1970 from an aussie falcon... vs bmw m5 from 1985 it's very close race lol.. oh and the xy falcon btw will start every time..
I have driven one of these and true it does pull like a schoolboy through the gears.
Great review guys
Miss e60 M5..
Fellas the M5 competition is now on par with my ‘19 VW Jetta Execline. I think Thomas will concur 👍🏻
Only barely on par tho
its a sedan its really well insulated car its quiet fast handles like a dream
This channel is really good! 1+ sub
Welcome!
😭😭😭 the introductions be killing me
because of the first 30 sec of this video i will subscribe and turn on notification
Best new car in the world IMO.
Last best looking M5
BMW for life!
this reminds me alot of another car channel in ontario
Is it faster then the hell cat? Just want to know?
Looking to buy CPO. I'm a big guy so no miatas. Willing to spend up to 65K any suggestions? Yes I can drive manual btw.
If I had the $ and hopefully I will someday sooner rather than later I would have a M5CP for the week and a M3CP with cup 2's and some little upgrades for the weekend rampage.
Sounds brilliant to me mate
Bring back the E46 race car content. Plzzzz
I still enjoy your car reviews especially how an opinion of one does not eclipse the opinion of the other
Kindly review the 2021 m5. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Idk the comments about the 2wd mode what has happened to people? Why is everyone so scared? I drive my f10 on summer tires(traction fully off) in 0 degree weather right now while there is no snow. F90 is a bit much to swallow atm price wise. Its basically an awd f10 for 100k more than f10. Sick car if i could pick for same price id have the f90 but atm i domt think it can be justified.
Hauls like a freight train. I have always considered freight trains to be quite sluggish.
What beast mode while it's a super car but no performance run? What's the point now
This car was launched to 60 in 2.8 sec with pre-wheel spin and awd launch. check it out.
@RealCapo88 link and evidence please. To back up your claims. I personally read the car and driver review and it said with a wheel spin prior to doing an awd launch the car successfully launched off the lot in 2.8 seconds.
@RealCapo88 no. The stock 2018 bmw m5 that comes with awd. Judging from your attitude you are some hater on youtube, i was open to a serious claim here but you seem to be just a babbler. And HP is not neccessarily a great indicator of 0-60. Torque. Traction, weather conditions, transmission, driver, fuel and elevation Those things are.
@RealCapo88
Start providing some evidence that the car "cannot" do 0-60 in 2.8 sec
This here says it can.

Not only that but I saw it beating your beloved E63, by the way, most contemporaries even amg fans, agree the styling is so outdated they need to revamp their approach.
Dope power slides
They couldnt have put a more wrose set of alloys? Where are the 20" 789M's??
This may be a dumb question but can the DCT be fully automatic? For instance if you've had a couple of drinks or are just exhausted and don't feel like having to pay attention to what gear you're in etc.. JW
I like how they mesured the car in feet, giraffe, basketball player and danny devitos and not meters. Ye man
M5 is nice but i've always been more of a Benz guy interior design and layout. Exterior as well. Features and quality will be similar as these high levels but give me an S63 AMG all day everyday!
6:07 It’s called rider error. You can also call it not being able to drive.
HaHa Canada still has nightclubs where some guy wears a purple shirt with too much cologne, I must go there, I loved the 80's.
This Car will fuk up 99% of all other cars... while getting a massage, riding in comfort and with 2 to 3 kids in the back seat. king of the road
Good advice.
0:48 fkn nailed it
so special
The M5 Competition is awesome! However; the E63 S Rumble will always be special :)) Good review but need to show more performance lol
He said he missed e60 m5 at 4.56 that’s why I’ll never sell my car for not to miss it
i clicked to video to watch the your thoughts on the new m5 but now all i want is that stick!!
It’s magical. And James has it locked away in a safe. No one man should have that much power.
Throttle House at gringotts
@@jamesengelsman9369 now i really hate being a muggle.
milli pekmez better than being a stupid squib like Thomas
YOU SAID YOU WOULDN’T TELL ANYONE
You guys are Greatness!
Im sorry but I would go with either a Cts V or a E 63 amg, my issue with this BMW is it looks great but my god its too quite, as well as the latter 2 having way better reliability.
Love the car and the vid. But who specked those rims
