I’m from Little Rock, but my husband got transferred to Louisiana 25 years ago. We live in Baton Rouge and have fallen in love with the food! They definitely know how to cook down here ❤
Covid has shut us down severely. Many restaurants and more bars have been forced to close their doors permanently due to lack of revenue. Next time y’all come down, I highly recommend exploring other areas: Garden District, Midtown, the Bywater, Tremé...so much to do and see and eat!
8:27, Thats probably how Colonial Sanders started. When lightning struck the CEDAR roof of his chicken house and it went up in flames, like a dead Christmas Tree.
You guys helped me build a camping set up for my wife and I. I tried to use your Amazon link for most of it. I can’t wait to take mini vacation while camping. I am waiting on a 3 day weekend so I can go to the Louisiana camp site. I live in Orlando and my wife would love to do all the activities you guys did.
If you do come to Maine, look me up. I've lived here for 19 years and can show you lots of fun things to do. We have good camping too, both in campgrounds and out in the "boonies". And the fall colors are outstanding.
always wanted to go to Oak Alley, those live oak tress are amazing..........sometimes called spider trees LOL............been to orleans and loved it, take the garden district horse tour, amazing......or a paddle boat tour up the Miss......go to Johnsons Brewery (IF it is still there) and dunk your crawdads in beer LOL.......Benighs are amazing type of donate too!........we did that boat ride in the everglades, awesome
Hey you guys been binge watching your channel and loving it. Hubs and I went to Oak Alley when we went down Louisiana for our vacation one year and I loved oak Alley it was so cool. Those trees in back oh my amazing. We ate at that restaurant there too and it was pretty good from what I remember. I have many pictures of that place. Anyway look forward to all the rest of your videos I'm probably over halfway done now LOL hope it helps you out. ‼️💕😊
Great video, guys! Yeah, Covid has shut many of the restaurants down....next time, check-out City Park, Sculpture garden and the Marigny (for more local live music), which is right next to FQ.
Y’all were in Marrero down the road from me!!! Love your videos!! The city is almost back to normal. Cade Du Monde had a crazy line this past weekend and lots of people. Could barely drive in the city. I would love to have a crawfish boil for y’all next time u come here.
I really loved revisiting Oak Alley through your channel today. I was born and raised in south Arkansas, but our family travelled throughout Louisiana taking in all the sights while visiting relatives, good times. Thanks for the memories.
Good evening Kellie & Cody, thanks for sharing this great video ! It's neat to know the oak trees served as a funnel for nature's fan. The food looked so delicious ! That air boat & tour was amazing ! Dewey was so cool & was an awesome guide ! Lil Bill love the attention. Keep your hands to yourself and keep smiling !
Great vid! I grew up 60 mi SW of NOLA, sister’s wedding was at Oak Alley, one of the most beautiful plantations. And you can’t beat the food in south Louisiana, Cajun country!
For a knoted gold necklace, small link vhain, I have always used either a pin (preferably a hat pin) or an ice pick!! I am 75 years old so believe me when I say these are miracle tools! LOL
Love New Orleans! Wasn’t that the plantation used to film interview with a vampire? It was so fun to follow along on your tour. We went there for our honeymoon in 1996. We had Cafe Dumonde every morning!
Most awesome comment of all..."you've worn those pants for like three days"!! made me laugh!! And if possible can you identify the background songs you use while filming? Particularly the music being played while you were doing the air boat ride. NOLA has such a diverse music culture but I'm real partial to the blues and Zydego/Cajun styles of music found in that region.
I really miss visiting New Orleans and the food. My Paw Paw lived at 601 Huey P Long Ave in Gretna LA and we would visit him twice a year and eat all kinds of goodness. Thanks for sharing your visit there and blessings. PS I messaged you on Instagram.
I’m a New Orleans Saints fan and love the legends of the city and bayous. The CW series The Original was based in New Orleans. Great show lol. Anyway as usual awesome video guys. Thank you for bringing me to New Orleans. Hopefully I’ll get there in person one day.
I was in New Orleans and ate at cafe du mou what ever. So if you ever been to the bath room it’s in the kitchen and Geas what is saw the powder sugar cakes you know so anyway they had run out of plats and were wiping the plates out with there aprons and putting other orders in the unwashed plates Omg I went back to my group I was with and told them we got the heck out
I went to a plantation outside of New Orleans years back and it said it was haunted and ghosts appeared. I didn't see any but definitely had creepy vibe. Those trees are beautiful but I can't imagine the place at night.
I've been to New Orleans before the pandemic hit. It was a great experience for me to be able to work on repairing the damage Hurricane Katrina caused.
Oh, we came back to Bayou Segnette State Park last Saturday the 27th. Bummer we missed you all. We are big fans of your videos, hiking, and cooking! Would have loved to say hi in person :-{
Could use yours guys help We live in Paragould. My 8 year old daughter received a camper from make a wish a couple of weeks ago. I work as a pilot on tow boats down in LA. We could use some suggestions for places to camp maybe in the ozark national when I get home end of this. Month Love the videos guys and as always thanks for sharing with us
I visited Oak Alley Plantation in Nov 2019! Beautiful! And those restaurants were likely shut down by COVID. I'll be sad to see which of my favorites have closed forever whenever I finally get to go back down there. :(
Awesome show. Enjoyed itI! I was suprised no masks nor distancing, especially on the airboat Airboating is fun. Very sorry New Orleans is shut down. They didn't have Mardi Gras because of it.
i really like the french style plantation homes because of the color and unique designs....also I can't go back a third time to LA with my husband, specifically NOLA. We will get divorced if we go again based on past shenanigans 😂 Looks like fun!
Some interesting info in your videos. Personally too much cooking prep. Chopping veggies and making coffee gets old. Lots of ff to get to the meat of the vlog.
Wife and I are researching camp stoves. Please clarify your camp stove history. During the video about camp kitchens you mentioned a number of prior stoves that did not work out. Recent videos show a $44 Coleman with 10K BTU burners, but following videos show a Bass. Pro 2 or 3 burner with 25K BTU burners. Are you still backing the coleman or moved on to a BP with more output? Thanks

Love listening to all the wildlife in the background at your campsite.

I live in New Orleans and a lot of places closed due to COVID restrictions. The French Quarter does look like a ghost town.
Y'all should visit Natchitoches, so beautiful and several plantations.
The air boat trip looks like a lot of fun. Will put it on my bucket list.

I live down here. Go to Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton LA. I usually disappear to the Smokey’s myself.
Great and fun video. My two sons live in Houma, La. 46 minutes beyond New Orleans.

I absolutely recommend The Whitney. Truly excellent experience!
Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this video. new sub.
Great video. Sure want to visit New Orleans. Thanks for sharing.

The Major placed some of the toughest restrictions due to Covid. Many have moved or closed down.

Would love it if you would do a video on how you care for your cast iron cookware.
I do not wash them after every use. Sometimes I will wipe it out with a wet rag or oil and then place it on heat for a few seconds.
I am in love with those oak trees.
Great video of my home state😁. Thanks
Guys this was a great video. I have not been there in a long time. Love Cafe Du Monde. The airboat tour was awesome. Love Cajun food as well.
Great vid! I grew up 60 mi SW of NOLA, sister’s wedding was at Oak Alley, one of the most beautiful plantations. And you can’t beat the food in south Louisiana, Cajun country!
Definitely plan to check out that state park!!! Great video!!!
Not much cooking when your in New Orleans! Food is fabulous!

Yes that was the plantation in Interview with the Vampire
Awesome drone shots guys 👌🏽 we love New Orleans! We were there last year around this time right when everything shut down
Absolutely love Cajun cooking. And you didn't say what they serve at Cafe Du Monde those things are called Beignets and they are incredible
Great place for a drive and try out some new foods!!! I just love their spices mmm

I order my coffee from Cafe Du Monde. 😊
The airboat gator guide was cool!
You two are awesome. Love your life and your channel. You should have way more viewers than you do!
Wonderful video! I use to do hunting from airboats as a kid and do airboat tours in the Everglades and they sure are fun! Thanks for sharing! 🤙
I was there almost 15+ years ago, looking forward to this episode.
Great video, great adventure, thanks for sharing.
Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte was filmed at Houmas House
Great video and we will visit Nee Orleans

Loved the show!
Love the music in the opening of this video. Can you identify?
All of our music is from RUclips audio library

We will post a short video Tuesday about Kellies kitchen. We will go over everything. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the updated video. Watchd it!
I think Cody was a Days of our lives fan as a child...Bo & Hope...got married at Oak Alley. 😂
Love the drone shots, so great. Did you find places to park downtown and keep the bikes secure?
We did and our bikes have a lock around them. They were safe.
Covid-19 closed slot of places down there.
How do you lock down your bikes in town in the back of the car so it’s still there when you come back?
Bike locks. It locks to the rack.
That looks like a Honda jacket. You ride a motorcycle?
No I don’t. Have had this jacket since 2004
That lead in music was almost zy-dee-co; yah-hoo.
Loved the episode, but that campground seems awfully close to gator water 😬
I live in the area and it’s so sad to see what the pandemic has done to New Orleans.
NOLA lost a bunch of restaurants due to the pandemic.
Try doing that to an African crocodile 🐊
COVID is killing the city :(
Next time your in New Orleans you just need to go get to a local seafood market and buy some better and cheaper.
Hell no to the alligator !!!
Shouldn’t feed the wildlife.
