I have both the 3s and the 4s. To me the 4s are so smooth and I feel more attached to the shoe. I get way better turnover for faster paces and the transition is silky smooth. The 3s are bouncier but I feel like I'm standing on top of the foam. The 3s are still a good shoe but If I had to pick to run one race 5k - marathon I'm leaning towards the 4s. People respond differently to shoes but this was my experience.
Interesting review. Curious though how you managed to buy a pair last year that you say in your written review is expected to launch this year but AFAIK has not yet. That all said Saucony seem to have us runners a bit confused here - they bring out a new race shoe at a still very high price but seemingly is still "below" the Elite and indeed from what you say also inferior to the outgoing model.
I have the pro3 and the pro4 has just arrived, pro4 feels a tad heavier, step in feel is very comfortable, and feels softer than the pro3, I haven’t run in the pro4 yet!, but I think you are probably gonna be right, more of a marathon cruiser, which is ok for my 3:30 marathon pace, but faster runners may not like so much, in terms of sizing I will need too sinch down the laces and runners knot so defo not narrow for me in my sizes uk 8, so I would defo not 1/2 size up true to size.
As a 200 pound nearly 50 year old dude, this new Pro 4 will probably be a better fit for my running pace and style than the Pro 3. I think it looks really good too.
Hi Brandon. Thanks for all the support informative and great videos. Qucik question. Random q. Are you South African? Your accent sounds South African 🤔?
Is the pro 4 more stable than the 3 or is it marginal, I have an injury that means I will need a bit more arch support for a while, so need to pick a new race day option?
Well, me and my wide feet money are out B. Have had every other pro, these are not upgrades. Will be looking at other brands this year, may buy these on sale next year.
Hmmm Pro 3 for shorter runs? I don't think so, everyone I run with has PBs in the Half and the full fat race with the Pro 3s. They are a great shoe, I had a PB in 10k in them but that only last 2 months (the Asics Metaspeed Sky+ is a lot more punchy when you need to put on the afterburners). If they've ruined the rocker and turned the Pro into the Speed (least favourite shoe of last year, ruined my knee in two runs) it would be a tragedy -(
I have worn Pro 3 as a trainer (have had 3 pairs of them) as they have never really cut it in a race for me (not aggressive enough and foam is too soft. I have just bought my 2nd pair of the Endorphin Elite for £171.58 though so I am well covered for top end race shoes until the end of 2025 or even into 2026.
I find myself gravitating to Pro3 for most of my summer runs. Even semi trail. Over other super shoes and DT:s. It is so comfortable and speed encouraging. So if this, presumably softer and more relaxed ride is OK, my opinion is, good all around shoe. For me, that tight sizing is just perfect. Even tough I got a hotspot at pinky knuckle, that was relieved when I tore off part of the logo.
This may be better for me than Pro 3. I have plenty of Pro 1&2 for my marathons to last up to Pro 4 to go on sale. Pro 3, might be saved as my 5k/10k shoe. If none of this makes sense to you, I'm #bigbonedflatfootedrunner.
I decided after my comment yesterday to review all the pairs I have & I can confirm that all Saucony Speeds 3's wear out out on toe at 70-140 miles, I took my latest pair to 140 miles & balding in the toe is again happening, running a gravel, not even ashphelt, I am a defo midfoot cadence runner, raised this with Saucony, they say my running gate, so I got it checked at my local running shop, funny how my other shoes doe not get the same issues, IE Kinvara, Pro 3, poor design, cheaper rubber than V2, way different than Pro 3 which is even thinner IMO. I am paying for Pro Gait test to really see what is going on, I am benchmarking 5 pairs of shoes each with 50 miles in them with the test. I have had enough
Saucony really messed up some good things... they dumbed down the amazing Speed in versions 3 & 4, in theory to differentiate it from the Pro... and yet now they're also dumbing down the Pro?? 😂 they're loosing all of that 2020 buzz, what a shame.
I really feel like these reviews are scripted, like a sales pitch, why do we need a swallow tail, that adds no benefit oh cos Saucony are worried about Hoka, why do we need the tongue stitched in, well they obviously forgot on version 3, do not forget more weight, means more price, gotta keep feeding those fat cats. Not a good start to the year Saucony
Who would you recommend these shoes for? Someone who has never had a super shoe running their first marathon, 3:30 and up marathoner, 4 hour marathoner?
I’m glad I bought both the Speed 3 and the Pro 3 on sale. The only thing I feel I’m missing out are the looks. But the 3’s look pretty cool too.

have you run in them yet? What do you think ?
Great review. Wherever you live looks like paradise - absolutely beautiful.
Thank you very much!
I'm an overpronator. Do you think it is a good choice for me? Especially for race days?
Brandon - is the midfoot in Pro 4 same width as in the previous model (Pro 3)?
As a 200 pound nearly 50 year old dude, this new Pro 4 will probably be a better fit for my running pace and style than the Pro 3. I think it looks really good too.
Agree especially on the looks
I've watched every review so far and you are the only person to say this isn't a top 3 shoe.
Reviews are a personal matter. Also, I believe we're the only ones who bought them.
Hi Brandon. Thanks for all the support informative and great videos. Qucik question. Random q. Are you South African? Your accent sounds South African 🤔?
Ja, ek is in Suid Afrika gebore.
Is the pro 4 more stable than the 3 or is it marginal, I have an injury that means I will need a bit more arch support for a while, so need to pick a new race day option?
Has the Pro 4 more forefoot Cushioning vs the Pro 3?
Is the Pro 4 faster as the Speed3?
Thanks for your frankly review! Have a great time!
Thanks, you too!
Do you really feel the HG foam? How much of it? 1 mm for marketing or something more?
www.runningshoesguru.com/reviews/road/saucony-endorphin-pro-4-review/
Short answer: yes you can feel it but ifeels different than the one in the elite
Softer,more stable, plusher ride=marathon shoe👍
Agree - not everybody needs the Elite!

Yeah, Pro 3 for shorter and faster runs, nonsense; they are built for 42km
That Pro 3 colorway is the best-looking shoe I've ever seen. Can the 3 work as an everyday sneaker?

what kind of socks??

No problem 👍

Why are saucony continuing to NERF their best shoes? Infuriating.
@@Nivek_Fartswamy I hope so but I was all in on the brand with Speed 2 and Pro 3 but now looking for other brands to replace these.
Bait n switch all brands do it nerf it as they made first ones too good and by version 5/6 it’ll be back to how 2/3 was in selling us same shoes again
What does nerf mean ?
It is not an elite shoe it is meant for the average runner.
nice socks!
Thanks!
Pro 3 looks better as well.

I just started running in pro2, so…. 😂
Why ruin a perfectly good “relaxed” long distance racer by making a ridiculously narrow toe box, Saucony? Why?
They don't want to reach out to a wider customer base!
The toe box is not narrow at all at my size 47, plenty of room...

Hi! What does feel scripted, in our review?
Who would you recommend these shoes for? Someone who has never had a super shoe running their first marathon, 3:30 and up marathoner, 4 hour marathoner?
Pro4 and speed4 are ugly!
Infact they even look like made with inferior materials(though they are not)
Personally, I think they both look much better than their predecessors!
