I go on the that route with the ECML section from Knottingley and i got screenshot of the speed the train, was maxed out at 68 mph and it was full throttle all the way from Wakey Westgate to Leeds thrash all the way and ur right they were rickety from the start and its a luxury for us to get a 158 where i live. Love ur vids btw
Salwick still has very few services, primarily to permit commuting to work at an industrial area. Salwick station may be 'relocated' to Cottam Parkway in the near future to serve the North Preston suburbs.
The Class 150/2 with the gangway was ordered by BR in 1986 for use in multiple if required & on longer routes. The earlier 150/1 (1984-6) was introduced around Manchester and Birmingham, so it probably did show up in Blackpool alongside the Pacers. I'm going to do some Googling for pictures now.
I swear just trains said the 150 was not about during 86 however according to Wikipedia they entered service in 84. The 158 ran to Blackpool North before the 195 plus salwick still exists it now gets a whopping 6 service id love to see a valenta hst on over shap.
150s still run on the Blackpool South branch but it's usually 150/1s. I really like 150s. I ride them everyday and I just love the thrashing when they get up to speed. And yes salwick still gets trains but it's very least used. 😂😂😂
I'd also love to have the 150s on Blackpool branches as it would be a good addition to go along side with the 142s. Just ashame it hasn't been added onto Blackpool branches tho.
That 150 needs to be completed re-made, preferably by Just Trains. Rivet Games have done a bloody awful job with that, it spews out too much exhaust smoke and the engine sounds wrong
@@Jacksonstrainandbusadventures The BR class 50's transferred from the WCML (north of Crewe) to the Western Region between 1972 and 1976 after the electrification of the WCML between Crewe and Glasgow. alongside the introduction of the BR Class 87 in the early 1970's. The class 156's didn't enter service until 1988, two years later than the time period of Blackpool branches and WCML Preston-Carlisle, both being set in 1986. A potential loco add-on could realistically be the BR class 86, which is the other major electric loco on the WCML in 1986.
Both the Blackpool branches and the upcoming WCML Preston-Carlisle route add-on are both set in 1986. The class 156 didn't enter service until May 1988. My guess for the future loco add-on would be the BR class 86, which is the other major electric loco that operated on the WCML in 1986.

150s were introduced 1 year before the route is set (1985)

I think there might be some legal or technical reasons why locos made by Rivet don't get layered onto other routes much?

Think the 150/2 in game was built from 86-87 so it wouldn’t be the 150/0 and 150/1 would be around at that time but those variants aren’t in game
@@oParkLikesStuff I thought it was something to do with the variant.
Yea iv been at black pool and yea its a great place im going next yea but the problem is that its a long jerny for me

Ahh nice, I didn't think they still ran on the Blackpool lines!!

Maybe one day, it will be a really nice addition!

Yeah it really does
I reckon the new just trains loco will be a class 156 for wcmlOS and Blackpool branches
That would be class! I would love to see a 156!
@@RichyRail_ definitely I hope it’s a class 156 or it could be a class 50 because they were on that part of the West Coast Main Line in the 1980s
156 wasn’t built when the route was set????
