The thing about Michael is not really good at sketches but he always shine at Weekend Update. He's more of Norman McDonald or Seth Meyers so Im not surprised if he takes one of the seats once Che or Colin retires
Micheal Longfellow + Andrew Dismukes in a sketch would be a mix of chaotic goodness and amazingness, and that's why we need more of them. loved his weekend update things on divorce during the Christmas time and his sketches about his family. P.s do not call me surely 😉
Am I the only one who thinks he looks exactly like a male version of Cecily strong? I’m pretty behind on snl vids so maybe it’s already been commented on
That was actually my least favorite, it showed him to be uncomfortable in front of the camera and a lack of precise timing, I thought. He’s gotten better over the course of the season but I think he still has a bit to go before he becomes a great cast member
@@andrewhavens5937 I thought that part was extremely well-timed for what he was going for there. Think of more of a Norm MacDonald type, although of course nobody can beat him.
I think he is my favorite of the featured players. I hope he's a keeper! The others still have potential though. "Yeah, I'm a real athlete, my hair is skin michael."
Michael looks like he has potential, but I thought he started out rough this season. He didn’t seem to have the versatility that Devon had or the enthusiasm that Marcello had. I’m glad that he’s gotten better as the season progresses but he still has a bit to go before I would call him a great addition to the team.
I get that. I feel like his comedy is deadpan + British dry sarcastic humour, even though he's not British. I still just loved his sketches about his family at the start.
Weird... I thought, while nervous, he's been knocking it of the park since skit one; meanwhile Devon and Marcello have been awful. Devon in particular screwed up entire sketches due to nerves or failure to deliver lines.
@@JRWall-hf9mq I think Michael is trying too hard kind of. Devon and Marcello have been the great cast members in my opinion. What particular sketches did you think Devon ruined? I don’t recall ever seeing him ruin a sketch
@@andrewhavens5937 - There have been a few sketches where his nerves get the better of him, to the point where they didn't give him any lines for like 5 episodes straight. Just watched another video with Michael Longellow and see he has a track record of super funny bits. Guy is going to the distance in comedy. Does he write his own bits also? Wonder how much room he gets to have his own ideas.
I think this is the first comedian that should not have taken the SNL gig. He’s excellent of course, in fact TOO good for SNL (and I love SNL). At least he’s also writing. Let’s hope he’s w a good agency who is wise with his career. He’s going to be huge.
I feel like they put Michael in sketches the same way they used to for Pete and given that made him leave the show, I hope they don’t continue that trend with Michael
SNL's streak of keeping me straight faced is alive and well. And isn't it a rule where you shouldn't utter the words "look what I can do" in a comedy sketch? If not, it damn well should be.

I like how you said Norms full name.
@@samtheskam4151 Who?
@@cinder7258 Norm Macdonald, I’ve never heard or seen anyone use the name Norman Macdonald.
That makes sense because he’s way more successful as a stand-up than a sketch actor
Michael and Marcello were phenomenal hires
I don’t know him but I want him to drop his skin care routine.
He should!
I thought you meant drop as in "stop", like "Hey, drop it!". I'm dumb.
I met him, he was such a cool guy. It makes me happy to see his success on tv.
"Did I *write* Jingle Bells?" "Yeah!" "...No." gets me EVERY time

I ship them
The "ah shoot" was like seeing Norm come back from the grave
He's got the energy of a comedy version of J. D. from Heathers
thats why i need him so bad
honestly i wouldn't mind if he got stunt casted as him in the inevitable film adaptation of the stage musical

I don't personally see it, but I sure do love both of them!

Is Michael longfellow considered hot? 'Cause if so I see the similarities 🥵
Spot on
I thought he looked like a young Donny Osmond 😂
michael is easily my fav cast member since jason sudeikis
WHAT?! Are you guys nuts? This guy is great..... and he just got here!!!
he’s honestly so funny and is extremely underutilized

He's got Kevin Nealon/Norm McDonald energy.
This guy is literally Bill Hader.

I NEED him to be Dick Grayson!!!!!

I think norm this guy is actually an overlapping reincarnation of Norm McDonald. I'm not kidding
The dilbert clips oml
You should do a re-edited version that includes him as Michaelangelo's David.
GREAT SUGGESTION!!! It is brilliant!
In ten to twenty years that guy will either host a talk show or will have his career crash n' burn doing a buddy cop movie or a touchy-feely sitcom.
