It's always refreshing to hear music from a band that actually takes time to properly compose their art instead of just putting anything out into the aether.
I have only found be'lakor about a year ago every song I've heard so far is out of this world. In my opinion this band is on a different planet to everything else atm definitely my favourite band atm keep up the fantastic work guys
I was excited about the new album for at least 1 1/2 years - and finally we got a first glance at it. My expectations on this were high, but you exceeded them! Can't wait to listen to the complete album. Greetings from Germany!
omfg.... this intro riff is already legendary.. how do they do it? like every song have riffs that you just listen to once and you immediately identify... HOW???! Since i discovered them after listening to arch enemy a while ago and having "of breath and bone" as my recommended and then listening to it all i've just been entirely hooked, then "Vessels" hit and it was such an incredible album... now this????! fucking hell they never stop!!! Please continue! this is the essence of melodeath, a 100%, dare i say 200% or even 300%!!! Never stop Be'lakor please. Greetings from all the way in Europe, France. Cheers, lifting up my drink(vodka) to you all at Be'lakor!
I always get super anxious when a favorite band of mine are dropping something new, then I hear this today and it's another absolutely beautiful banger of a song. Be'lakor is simply amazing.
For maximum addiction, keep listening to it with 2-3 other songs in between each replay. Been doing this all day and wonder how I'm supposed to go to bed and sleep later.
This band is without a doubt my favorite band of all time, the amount of shear creativity they have in these songs is absolutely mind blowing. They really are masters in melody and musical flow, they are unmatched.
Honestly one of the few bands it’s worth waiting so long for 👌 feel like the whole community thinks that too. Brilliant single, absolutely beautiful work. Just gotta wait for the rest of the album now!
Be'lakor will never top this. The lyrics are the best I've seen in any song, and each major shift in the instruments matches a narrative change in the story the song is telling. Also, the song is telling a completed story. Not many do that, or can do that effectively. It has a character, the character has the rising action of being on a ticking clock as they all try to grab their treasure, and one notices something on another character. The climax is the internal struggle of whether or not a companion conceals a weapon, the growing insecurity in the main character's mind, and the ultimate decision to save himself against whatever his friend might have. The action falls immediately after as the third runs for his life, and the conclusion is the main character realizing he had murdered someone and searching for something to justify his mistrust. One of my friends even said "But what if it was nothing more than light's deceit and failing sight" is one of the most human experiences ever. All too often, people overthink and speculate about the consequences based on information they think they know. Additionally, I personally think it adds to the lyrics that there is no solution, no conclusion to the character's question of "Did my companion have a weapon concealed". I love the roundabout, wordy description of what happens in the main character's mind. I relate to how each thought would come to fruition. "Til all he knew confirmed his bind" doesn't mean he was right, wrong, or in any sort of peril, but rather that... literally, all he could think of, all he really knew, told him that there was no easy solution to his PERCEIVED problem. Then, "In pebble's bounce, the avalanche. In falling drop, the bursting dam" perfectly encapsulates how one thing leads to another, and ultimately to a complete disaster, but also "From just a flicker in the mind, a thought would twist, consume, and grow" marks how it all starts. This is a parable in the bible, and a general bit of storytelling everywhere, that tiny, insignificant cancers can grow into a life-threatening problem. And, once he's killed his friend, endless thoughts enter his mind from seemingly nowhere. Your mind races, trying to make sense of it all, trying to come to grips with the situation. And, very much in a human manner, to absolve himself of any guilt, remorse, or moral pain, he desperately searches for justification, vindication, and reason to paint himself as not a monster.
I live DM , but this band is in another level, in a paralell world, is unique , again and again , every album when they do , is a MASTERPIECE HELLLLLLLLL YEAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
