  • My review of the newest cycling glasses from Peter Sagan's favorite - 100% Eyewear - the Hypercraft. Light, bright and outta sight, baby, Eye protection for cycling is a must, and maybe that's why the choices to frame yer face are endless, but maybe not always clear... Hopefully my look at the newest model from the American brand you might know from their motocross roots will help you see through the haze of the overcrowded eyewear market.

The rose light enhancing lenses would make great shooting glasses! Clays will really 'pop' against the background and great deep section eye cover

    Awesome overview.
Glasses weight, I wear prescription lenses and you really feel the weight. There is also the grippers, you have to remember the weight of the glasses is being put on the gripper causing stress and that is vastly different compared to how it feels when holding it in your hands.
Lens colors, I've worn transition prescription glasses all my life. And it is sad to see that photochromatic isn't talked about and more widely available in the eyewear industry. That is the best of both worlds solution. From some research that I've read the important thing for sunglasses to ensure is if the eyewear blocks out the UV rays which the more expensive ones do.
For me, 100% always seems like the more reputable company. Yes Oakley is probably the most popular one in the eyewear industry by a country mile but if you take a look at their corporate structure and who owns them and where their business values lie it makes me skeptical with Oakley and why I prefer other companies like 100%.

Hello was wondering if you could tell me, I understand the plastics are a fiber reinforced material but do you find them to be flexible across the lens? Considering the lens is a thin piece of what I would assume to be polycarbonate and also structural how flexible are they? Just curious if you find them flexy.

Hi Jason - The entire structure is very rigid. The lens itself does not flex without some serious muscle applied, and the frames are also very rigid. The shape of the frames also builds in some extra strength through the design. - Pez

Hi Eric - there is one offered, you just have to order it separately, and the different colored frames come with different lens options. - Pez

Eric - You can order the dark lens separately.

@@PezCycling I see that -but, you realize that wasn't what I meant. The dark lens should be automatic. I'll stick with Tifosi.
