    I use DeWalt Reinforcer Indoor / Outdoor Lens Safety Specs from Screwfix, £5.49, 99.9% uv protection, anti scratch, anti fog etc etc, they’re absolutely fine, cheap to replace if broken or lost, very sturdy although I’ve misplaced 2 pairs in the past

      That’s actually a really good idea! Makes perfect sense and likely to be way more robust than non safety specs

      Good call; I have a clear wraparound DIY eye shield that is perfect for no-tint situations. 👍

    For several years I'd used Tifosi chromatic glasses , Recently I've purchased a pair of Oakley, I find they are a lot more comfortable on long rides they don't pinch just behind my ears & give a lot more sun protection ,in fact I don't notice that I have them on .They also keep bugs out of your eyes .

      Yeah I agree, they’re really comfortable ! Best glasses I’ve had

    I use Rockbros photochromatic glasses. They cost under 10 gbp. I like that they don't get too dark and so you see very close to the natural light and colour of the environment. I did buy a 100+ gbp Ruby Project photocromatic glasses. I don't wear them. They get too dark for my liking. So I wasted my money there. Sometimes cheaper is better.

      Same here. On my 2nd pair (I lost the first). Probably not the best optical quality - but what you haven’t seen you haven’t missed. I’ve been using rimless photochromic for 15 years, and would never go for anything else.

    I've got some Julbo glasses - one 'Reactiv' (photochromic) and one fixed polarised pair. They are superb in quality and fit, noticeably clearer lenses than cheaper glasses I've tried.

    For cycling I use a pair of Siroko K3 which sit nicely and are super lightweight. More recently for running I tried a pair of glasses from Goodr and these are good for the money, but don't quite fit as tightly.

      Not heard of them actually! Will check them out :)

    I have been riding with Rudy Project glasses with an Rx insert. I have a small face and (at the time I bought them) they had a pair for small faces. With the Rx, they were around $400, more than my everyday glasses. But worth it!

    I own a pair of Oakley Jawbreaker Prizm and the piece of plastic that held the lens to the frame snapped due to wear and tear. Not very impressed with them to be honest as despite being good lenses the frames aren't great quality.

    My Oldest glasses are Oakley so old I can’t remember the model. I have loads more but a pair I do like are my Smiths. Can’t remember the model but it was a women’s design and several hundred pounds. I did end up having to get bi-focal prescription ones but just went for cheaper EyePod Hawks because my prescription changes so much. I don’t really like them I have a white and black pair but when they needed parts and I ordered the sets of inserts for my next prescription they sent me all new glasses in cases with full sets of five lenses so can’t complain. I’ve just gotten a pair of Oakley Sutro Kokoro and see the difference after wearing the cheaper glasses night and day.

      Yeah I’d love to have some prescription glasses for cycling but my eyes are pretty poor so it’s been a challenge to get any that accept the lens 😛 the sutros are a great bit of kit

    • @SwampyDuckRidesAgain3636
      @SwampyDuckRidesAgain3636 4 месяца назад

      Yes that’s why I went for the lenses in front and they are great for a prescription that changes frequently but don’t look so good.

    Just received some Sutro Lite Sweeps from The Big O cuz they were on sale at half the price of the Aerocraft 100s I really liked.
    Nice lense but QC appears to have gone down the crapper since I bought some Razors back in the 90s: putting the Sutros on under my helmet straps got me a gouge from a sharp burr on the end of one of the arms. You don't expect Battery from your eyewear, even with a hefty knock off the list price!
    And DON'T CALL ME SCARFACE! 😎

      Nice! Yeah they don’t seem quite as good as three used to be

    Thats pretty accurate. People buy them as pros are using them and found other similar products inferior.

    Invested in a pair of Oakley Jaw breakers with the road prism lenses. I've worn them less than 10 times riding and stupidly put them in the back of my jersey on a ride around the bay, they must have been in there for about 14 miles and the material has sanded a blind spot into the lense. Absolute waste of money

    • @Cycling366
      @Cycling366  4 месяца назад

      Wow! Not heard of that happening before. I’ve never had that issue so bad luck!

    Add a prescription and every pair of cycling glasses becomes expensive :(

      @Cycling366  4 месяца назад

      Yeah definitely. I’m yet to get a pair of prescription cycling glasses as most manufacturers don’t do my prescription… 😞
