Thank you to both of you for sharing part of your growth/transformation stories by way of Tai Chi and related practices. It reminds me of a book I was given in the 80s, called Sharing the Quest, by Muz Murray. In my case, it coincided with me moving from practising Yoga and getting more into martial arts through Kung Fu and Tai Chi. However, somewhere along the line I lost the discipline and dedication to stick at it. Before I knew it, about 15 years had past of not doing any kind of training whatsover, it was all just working in various jobs. Later in life now, those early seeds are starting to take root again, by getting back into Tai Chi and trying to pick up the path again in 2018. I've been fortunate to make contact with some very good teachers in the last couple of years, even with the intervention of the pandemic, which has given me the guidance and support to keep at it. They also say to me that the only way to improve is to teach. I didn't agree at first, because I felt that I had fallen so far behind where I used to be in terms of my own practice and the understanding of what I was doing. One of the things that has helped me, again all my teachers say the same, is to just 'never mind' and 'let go'. Next time I'm in Den Haag, which might be in summer of 2024, I'll have to look you guys up.
Hi Mark, thanks for sharing your story. As one of my teachers said, this training adds up over a lifetime. I know many people who stopped and got back into it again. And yes, teaching will accelerate your growth for sure, teaching with an open heart will do that. It would be great to meet you here in Holland. In augustus we will announce the dates for workshops in 2024. Thanks again and happy training!
Thank you for this video. I am always joyful when I listen the story of people like you who remind me of the magic of life. And how much we still have to learn or remind us from a higher self! 🙏🙂
