Turns out in the netherlands when a baby is born they give them turntables and headphones instead of passifires.
yeah its true though! All the DJs from the netherlands all ive heard of is Tiësto and Martin Garrix. All the small dj's kwebblkop and GTA5Videos
XD this man yo! 😂😂😂
Mink look into armin van buren he's right up there just behind tiesto
Lol😂😂
He seems like such a nice guy. Much respect
I saw him punching a drank girl, who was able to get backstage and was asking him to take a pic with her
Live Mix RU really? In a video?
I liked Tiesto's older tracks much better though (pre- 2005)
CNN (TIESTO EDIT)
I've always liked Tiesto, as a DJ his music makes me want to dance around but it's not aggressive, I'd describe his sound as euphoric. And I personally like him as a man as well, he's always come across as very humble and happy that other people enjoy his music. He answered the last question well; without sounding like he had an ego he described how he can differentiate between crowds and play exactly what they want to hear. He always takes his time to warm up, I've seen him live and it's a great atmosphere, when he smiles, it makes the crowd smile and that's the key to a good entertainer! :)
I would describe it as more of a fuckboy sound, not euphoric or aggressive. Just fuckboy material.
2:25 it makes me smile from ear to ear, seen him so many times, hope to see him this summer too!
behind his success was trance
Dennis Waakop Reijers
I still think it's a shame he has left trance but let's be honest, to ride the wave of stardom and take the US by storm Trance just wasn't going to cut it. I remember discovering him in 2003 (his remix of Southern Sun) then bought a load of his CD's and later the 2004 and 2008 concert DVD's and I was in awe. His exquisite ear for mixing the ISOS compilations is not possible to convey in words. That rounded off by seeing him at Trance Energy in 2008. The hype surrounding him was nothing short of Godlike at that concert, it was almost like the other artists were just support ones. Come Kaleidoscope and that was the change right there (there were hints of him departing from his original sound on Elements Of Life with "In The Dark"). I may be biased towards trance but I do not know of any other genre that can fill someone with such emotion as to make grown men cry with joy. Such was the euphoria that him and his sound could create. Sad to see Armin is now taking the EDM route too.
Well said. There’s a lot of disdain for tiesto in the trance scene, but like him or not, we owe him so much, and so much respect in general
Guys: Tiësto did trance untill 2007. He didn't change for the money, I mean he was the best dj in the world and maked a lot of money. He changed style because he didn't enjoy the trance anymore and he was influenced by other artists. If you don't like the new Tiesto, okay but don't go hating on him. I liked the old Tiesto more but I appreciate his choice because its awesome to see how much he enjoyes it that much.
Ladies and gentlemen, you have heard before i'm sure..."Do what you love, and you will be successful"
So they say, and this man is proof
He's such a big inspiration!
Those were some brief, strong, and straight forward answers. Especially when he answered the final question. Loved it!
That's how you're supposed to answer when you know you been the best DJ in this planet for so long.. 😋
@@alexjames1681 Absolutely.
@@alexjames1681 Absolutely.
18 years?!? The man's been spinning discs since the mid 90's, plus highschool house parties 👍🥳👍! Dear admin, your nearly 17K years over!!
Time flies, so much respect. Wish he never left the Trance scene. Belgium for life, though.
This is the first time i have heard him talk after YEARS of lisenting
Tiësto's deserving for his awards.
u always make me smile
Tiesto is a gift to the world! Over talented over magical over intelligent ❤ we love you Tiesto ❤ thank you for everything 😍
This is the most truthful statement ever.
i love tiesto bak then and now!
Totally agree... when he did trance .. he was able to put u in another state of mind .. or enhance the state you are in .. either happy or sad .... he now changed and i dont like the genre but he still has his touch on reading the crowd and make em happy ... but tiesto please dont forget your roots .... and dont be afraid to put trance here and there .... that would be something new and if one is and if anyone is capable of doing that its you ! :)
Recommend me some of his trance tracks
@@majeszczak Lethal industry, just be, suburban train, silence, adagio for strings and much much moreeee
This is inspiring. This video is helpful !
Love you Tiesto.
Love tiesto !!
Well said. Hes a real DJ. #1 for a very long ass time.
i just knew you as of CNN interview ,,, you are the best!!!
un buen dj y bien posicionado !
TIESTO IS THE BEST DJ IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE TIESTO!!!!
I love him😍 2019
Tiesto forever!!
Its all about hard work, he did awesome trance music when there were no real daws out so hes a true legend, been a dj myself from that area growing up with Tiestos music,
He didn't even produce his own stuff it was another guy, Dennis Waakop Reijers.
no real daws? There have been real daws since 1989
Dj PAUL VAN DYK was en is still my trance hero.
bye bye Tiesto...wish you succes with your grab music in the U.S
Trance=mysterious / space / futuristic and uplifting- GOOD!
who here honestly would have thought they would ever see the day cnn do an interview of an electronica dj!?!?
I cant believe he's actually 43 yrs old at the time of this interview! look at his smile, his face is just beaming. I also love the fact that he is a philanthropist. you don't hear too much about that kinda stuff out of the electronica scene. I have no problem supporting this guy.
He is 48 years old! I thought he was like 28 or 32!
Tiesto, the best DJ in the whole world and has been for the last decade. Who makes concerts like him? Who makes music like him? His incomparable. Screw all the haters.
I LOVE DJ TIESTO!!!!! HE IS THE BEST! him& avicii!
HK show was intimate and super amazing!
kick clap kick clap revolution
Miss the old dj tiesto!
that was great :)
I like Trance, and I like EDM as well. I’m not one of these people to say one is amazing and the other is shit. I admire Tiesto as a Producer and DJ and he’s still killing it at EDM festivals which for me is the best place to be🙌🏽 so praise to him for doing what he loves, whether it’s Trance or EDM
trance is edm...
@Louis A. Rosales Trance is religion... edm is just the rest off others electronic music genres...
There are many genres and sub genres of edm which ones are you talking about that you like besides trance?
Thx Tiesto - Nice hommage to Belgium !
He is famous mostly because of his Adagio, Silence, I don't need to need you. All Trance. His new style is not that much great, however I find his Somebody I Used To Know (remix) and Move To The Rhythm still amazing.
And you will be shocked that Adiago nor Silence was NOT produced by him at all. I was shocked too many years ago when I found that Tiesto is the "trademark" such as "Adidas" and there is no or very small talent in this guy.
@@dusanzatkovsky7580 Dennis Waakop is the real talent behind Tiesto. That dude produces pure gold.
Tiesto is a shadow of the dj he used to be
Phenomenal..
He opend doors for the djs who are big now
Legend
I don't know wtf this guy is going on about but I saw Tiesto live for the first time last night at Something Wicked and he was fucking amazing...I really didn't know what to expect because I never really got into Tiesto but I've always heard about him and a few of his popular tracks. Lots of people seem to be talking down on him too but believe me, he really is the hype. I would have gladly paid the full price admission just to only see his live performance.
Well said.
oh man Tiesto has some tracks that melt my fucking soul man, some of his remixes are just straight up good as fuck. Love that Tiegan and Sarah "back in your head" remix....TIESTO !! \m/.
❤Tiesto
Seems like there is more dj that do what they do. I just really wish Ash wouldn't have pushed Avinciii to the point of being so sick and just keep pushing him and pushing him. I feel he certainly made his $$ money for basically pushing that young AMAZING man. I'm sad he's gone. I love his personality. He was such a kind and reserved, very humble. This industry is really fkd a lot of people up. People loved him. I hope he's up there making beautiful music in heaven.
Tiesto is a bad ass!!!!
tiesto is the shit im 28yo black man my favorite rapper is nipsey hussle my fav dj is tiesto im everywhere lol gotta love all genres
3:55 im a real dj i love you tiesto
now he does 5 years ago it was trance
Its Techno Originated in Detroit, He took it to greater heights
Wow, I really need to collaborate with tiesto, if i can. I'm not big yet.
3:47 "so what do you think sets you apart from the rest? i mean whats the difference between a DJ and you?"
Tiesto, "The big difference is that im a real DJ"
the best DJ
I love the accent. So funny how a lot of Dutch can't really shed it. But that's part of the charm i guess ;)
TIESTO IS THE GREATEST DJ OF ALL TIME!!!!
End song is Make Some Noise (ft. Ben McInerney)-Tiesto and Swanky Tunes
As I saw the title, I didn't even see the video,I just came here to say ghostproducing
sayan mukherjee tiesto somehow admitted that, too. He sometimes mentioned his "band". Surely dennis waakop reijers deserves more respect, but it's not like tiesto always acts like he did everything about his tracks...
proud 2 be belgian, where it all started years ago :)
now your history and listen what he says about new beat started in belgian before you say something
kristof herme I just can't understand how people mistake now with know..
Tiesto says it himself in this interview ;)
New beat wasn't the first genre of EDM and EDM was originated in the UK. New beat originated in Belgium, but not EDM all together,
I know Daft Punk hasn't made music in a while now but I consider them the best Dj's in this earth..
'He's been called the World's Greatest DJ'
World's Most Common Editor of Random Dance Tracks more like
This guy is inspiration for Martin garrix and hardwell woo
Just not to real DJ's who actually won the DMC, & no im not hating,
but real DJs (like he calls himself) don't have time to stand around all night like they where Jesus
since they need their hands for actual mixing
Well to be honest. Tiesto was just an ordinary DJ back in the days when trance was so popular. One specific year he had over 220 shows, its obvious that he havent been making music. While he was playing "his" songs on the shows. The Tiesto team have been working hard in the studio to make all the hits that were popular back in the days. One guy of his group was most important player and his name is Dennis Waakop. Dennis was making all hits for Tiesto, while Tiesto took all the glory. Tiesto a.k.a Ghostproducer
And who the hell are you?
It's Delerium Silence- Tiesto in Search of Sunrise's remix
And rather than playing underground trancers.. I play commercial GARBAGE
Even with trance he was commercial since '99.
he's hating on new tiesto... because he makes cookie cutter garbage now
Trance is dead by the way man. I love trance and Tiesto was a trance legend and Tiesto is kind of a sell out mainstream pop and he became kind of douchey but I still like his shit and complaining about him switching to house from trance is childish.
Ashley Cal before you say such things do some research, only because trance isn't popular as fuck anymore, doesn't mean it's dead. Labels like JOOF, Pharmacy, Outburst, Platipus, Suntrip, Ovnimoon Records and a LOT more, all release quality stuff. Also if trance ever died, then it would've died after '96-'97.
*****
Yeah in house because trance didn't even exist in the 80s (atleast as established genre). Lots of his gabber was hardtrance/.
The difference is he's a REAL DJ. Unlike Skrillex and a thousand others who had 1 or 2 commercial hits, DJ'd a few years then faded out the scene.
dude tiesto barely makes his own songs, just look at how many helped him in the productions.
You cleary dont know about skrillex's songs
VMHvilsom Skrillex isn't producing his own shit anymore. He DJ'd with DeadMau5... released a few original tracks and became famous. After that started DJ'n full time and all his tracks are copro these days. That's called selling out and Skrillex will fade out the scene fast as SHM. That's how the music industry works bro I've been in it 15 years. There are THOUSANDS of great guitarists but only 16 right now who actually make a living as guitarists. If you can't consistently produce original shit & top the charts... which he can't... you're forced to copro or DJ. Right now he's not doing either well, his brand isn't in demand, dubstep isn't fresh like it use to be... in 5 years no kids will know or care who the fuck Skrillex is.
That's my opinion and prediction. The music industry is a revolving door (like porn) that caters to young kids who don't care about good music... they only care about what's the next fresh thing. Just look at Eminem. How many rappers can you name who've consistently sold records or stayed relevant as long as Em? I bet you can't name more than 10. Now apply that rule to any other genre... it repeats over and over. Lady Gaga use to rule pop. Even she couldn't stay relevant more than a few years.
Like Marshmello
marshmello has only got fame because of other djs and his mask. He used tiesto a couple of days ago to get some fame.
Tiesto is the fousey tube of electronic music
Diyeii tiesto naver wan forever 🔊🎛🎛🎼🤙🏻🌏📀🎚🎚👏👏
he was superb between 2000 and 2006, now? well the less said the better
Alone is the best song
Personally I have never watched Tiesto live but what he said is so important:"I am a dj and producer while the others produce at first a nice track, they got famous and then they become djs!".I have watced llive many sought after djs and the fact is that the majority of them just changing tracks and even worse some of them played a recorded set which is really disappointed!!Obviously this is the reason why dj Tiesto is in the top of the edm's world ten years now!!!
goddamn, anna coren is fucking gorgeous
Tiesto WAS the greatest dj
They needed "Talk Electronic"
lol, tiesto when he says "others dj are more a producers" took a shot at armin van buuren:)))
lol second shot in the beginning of the video was armin van buuren LOL xD
whats the name on the first track??
What's that song at 1:07 anyone? i must hear the entire song!
wow he made 23mil for Dj around the world Baller o.O
Tiesto makes original music as well...
#wemisstheoldtiesto
its crazy how people dont know that all tiesto tracks are not made by tiesto and he gets all the credit, not hating people need to know i think
anyone know the song at 2:10 ?
T❤️i❤️e❤️s❤️t❤️o
All you need is his Milleniumset.
couldnt of said it better
Paul Van Dyk never "sold out". He's been doing it at a higher level for longer and has had chart releases. The difference is PVD does change his style to make money which is what Tiesto did. Hence the selling out.
do u know which producer was that? cuz dennis is still there. he is probably the most talent producer on his team
The fucking Trance Master!
Dennis Waakop Reijers and Geert Huinink respect!!! End of story. Now this EDM c.. s... .... No comment!
Tiesto is a GOD 🙏🔥
whats the song called at 1:07?
THE GOD of ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC.
