I have just realised this morning that I didn't cover the blood gems and lenses! I have covered them in my other BA videos, but I will make sure I include them when I paint the officers!

they look so good! I've always been awful with black, but I think just the tip of giving it a satin varnish will really make it look good, so I think I'll try that!

I love doing the aquila in bone and never really using gold for metals. A dark gunmetal or Iron warriors type metal that while is dark surprisingly pops on these black models. I also make sure to always use faces on mine and usually the same weapons the heavy bolt pistol and chain swords work very well. If your looking to maybe try kitbashing original marines parts on these I highly recommend buying jump packs to put on these Primaris intercessors as well as the inferno pistols for special weapon options. Using any dark red color mixed with Elmer’s glue in a cup then splattering on the swords, faces, and armor with a toothbrush is a very effective way to show the fury and gore of these raging marines.

I like the bone aquila too, but i think it works best with actual DC models who have more skull motifs. I decided to keep these guys a bit more plain looking. I have already made some primaris conversions with original parts and jet packs, Check out my Vanguard Vets video :) I have some DC converted primaris guys with jet packs too, just finding it hard to get the time to paint as work is so busy :(

Hey, sorry for the late reply. Yeah they are just normal Assault Intercessors really with a few extras added on, like power gloves :)

May I ask what search words you used on Etsy for the Saltire Cross shoulder pads?

Hi, Sorry I was away for the Christmas break and only just got back! Look for Dynamic Prints Studio, they have lots of Death Company crosses and emblems!

How does intermediate gloss varnish help with fixing mistakes?

I think show it in the video. It helps by protecting the layer of paint below. If you give it an hour to cure you can rub off the mistake with a cotton bud or wet brush. Applying another layer of varnish after that also helps to to unify the texture and colour of any paint you have used to correct a mistake.
