Man that's a cool rig!
I love the innovation!
When you get old like me you get tired of sleeping in the dirt.
:D
What an efficient use of space, so much packed into such a small package. Love it.
I always get excited when I see a new TAVLLC video!
Great camper. And your walk through was excellent. No talking about things that don't matter and you seemed to touch on everything! I just bought one of these and am REALLY excited.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, I like that setup!
GREAT!
Thank's for to share!
All ... in a truck!
Congratulations !
This is phenomenal !
Nice build Walt!
Ingenious. I love it.
Nice build, excellent work as usual.
That's the best I have seen you guy's got it together thanks for the video love that setup 😀 👍 👌
Stunning!!!
Tactical wine glasses, nice.
outstanding, Thanks!
Looks great I'm pretty certain i can't afford it but its still a sweet rig. Nicely done.
Do you have one for a 2018 Ford F150 with a 5.5' bed? I straight up love the setup.
I need that camper and that man!
That awning is pretty damn cool
This is an amazing set up! But I don't have that kind of money to spend on it, but some do, I love it though!
what kind of rear suspension upgrade you have on this truck to hold the weight of the camper?
Really cool!
Very, very well laid out and extremely practical. Quick question, neat the end you show the fresh water intake, WHY mount that over an electrical cable??
They are nice. Every highlighted feature is an added option. $$
Would love to see this on my Ford F250
I could possibly reach the cups if the tires were flat or my hobby could lift me up there. Nice rig, but everything seem way too high for me !! I wouldn’t be a happy camper! Thank you for showing it though!
pretty cool set up bro!!!!
Really crazy invention
That awning is itching my creative side, I was going to just build a square pullout for the side. That expandable topper too. I like the process of putting things together more than actually using them haaa
With all the bells and whistles and heater I’ve got to ask why no a/c unit?
You opened the awning, and
I
Waited
And
Waited
And
Waited for you to show but needless to say
It never happened.
So
I'm still curious, What does that 3/4 wrapped around awning look like ??????
Awesome Love it! However, the gap in between camper and the bedside seems weird. On the Hilux it's almost flush - looks right.
I need to be 7ft tall to use the Gally. Does it come with a step ladder.
Definitely the Cadillac of truck wedge campers!
Love it
wish they make one for Gladiator someday. Khaya is so nice!
Great innovation
SUPER INTERESTING GREAT INFORMATION AND VIDEO JOB 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
Have an 04 Dodge Ram 1 ton pickup long bed diesel do you make one for that model. Nice setup you have
What's the name of the front bumper on this Truck? It looks awsome
I've been hoping an amarican cumpany would sell these.. I'm a big fan of the simple style.
I would like to know the bed foot print, and how it is held in place to the truck. Just add a dry flush toilet and I'll be ready to go fly fishing.
How much does this whole build cost between mods to the truck and then the camper? And can you lift the camper off of the truck and turn it back into a daily driver? Which Tacoma would you recommend buying if you're going to be completely redoing suspension gears and differentials?
1). Can you get inside and sleep without putting up the pop up?
2). Can you do two batteries?
3). What is the dry weight of this?
4). What is the wet weight, fully loading with all your options?
Can this setup work on a 2017 Chevy 2500HD?
Would love to put one on my Gladiator.
Thanks!
Really interesting details and set- up-
A rain catcher system to the tank would be nice as well, I'd imagine the cutting board and cooking set up better on the exterior but to each his own.
not to the drinking tank.. not with all the dust, dead flys, fire ash, diesel grime from the drive and god knows what else..
yeah buddy. 👍
Sweet!
Do you think they’ll make one reversed, ie with the kitchen and awning on the right side?
I want more info on the ratchet straps for the shovel ? Looks amazing
i need that awning for my setup.
I like that.
Very nice
Beautiful rig, how much does it weigh ?
Do you have one that fits a 1984f250 8ft bed ?
is this the 2 sleeper or the 4 sleeper ? Also are all things part of the standard offering
Not bad. Good luck.
How do you fill the diesel tank for the heater?
So I’m wondering if the Kahya will even fit on my 2021 Toyota Tacoma off-road. Looks like you have a much older truck than I do. So what do you think and I also I’m afraid to ask what did that whole set up cost you if you don’t mind me asking ? I don’t have much saved up in the bank so I should probably start saving because your set up definitely looks very expensive! Any hot deals for veterans USA 🇺🇸
I think I would want to keep my old 5th wheel. We are getting to old to climb in and out of something like this. If I was younger this would be sweet.
It does seem to be a fort more for big kids, not really as convenient as other options.
What is all done to the suspension on the Tacoma?
What trucks will support this camper? Ive been looking into a nissian frontier pro 4x, would this camper be a good fit?
Great Build - I'm about to buy a Tacoma for solo overland travel going to Mexico & all points south.
Do you figure you ever wanted to have or needed a Quad door instead of the Access Cab? Knowing the quad cab is a bit longer (+13.1") and heavier (+180lbs) with a similar-sized long box. Or are you just fine with the Access Cab?
Thank you! This is a customers truck. He seems to like the access cab. I personally prefer the four door long bed.
Zippers wear out being opened so much?
Wow!!!
What is the biggest truck bed camper that Alu-Cab Khaya builds? Do they have anything that would fit a F150?
How Heavy is that setup? Can the Tacoma handle it?
Is the tire swing out carrier and Jerry can swing out included with the kaya camper?
Optional extras.
Where do i get that shovel? who makes it?
This Tactical camper it's perfect 4 bugging out...
How heavy is the camper it is nice, just wounder how much is camper cost?
Taas Wang 52k
I have a new love affair going... sweet! Subscribed.
I saw a Tacoma missing its bed next to the subject of this video. Does anyone know if they offer a unit that bolts directly to the frame and has a cab pass through?
强大的设计理念。所有都是完美的 . 请问。温度如何掌控
Used one for two months in Africa. It was great when the weather is good. Too expensive? 80k with truck is cheap compared to other overlanding rigs.
Cm Springer lots of the people commenting probably don’t have much of an idea how good these are
I like to find out if the Khaya Truck Camper gets any dust inside, also water from the raining?
Not bad, except I would have all controls and electronics switched with the Galley. I don't like the idea of electronic controls anywhere near a water source. Put the Galley on the passenger side with the outside shower. Makes Alot more sense to wash down the chow area quickly using the shower - Just Sayin'
Does it come in Chrome. Black adds about 40 to 50 degrees
What's a hot water heater? Heats the hot water more?
where did you guys find the step??
Nice work!! Never mind the Na-sayers you get what you pay for!!!
Eric roadking thank you! Yeah lots of trolls out there.
Eric roadking yeah you do, a truck rendered useless once your tent is set up
It looks tuff as nails, I just don’t want to get up in the middle of the night and have to go to the bathroom outside... the old standard camper for us old guys!
WHICH CAME 1ST THE ALU-CAB CAMPER OR THE ALU-CAB BED TOPPER/CAP ?
I saw this at Sema last year. F'n awesome design and build quality. Makes the 4WC look dated.
Wait so is this a kit or all individual stuff
does adding this to the truck change the car insurance?
This is great for hunting but my concern is when it rains. How would you deal with damp wetness inside. Tents and that fabric is Notorious for allowing moisture to seep through. Also the zippers, wonder how well they will hold up over time. That being said, this unit is well put together. Again another product that is going to be on the high side of the money spectrum. As much as you are going to use this for hunting or a weekend in the woods, the cost out weighs the wallet. I think you can buy a dam nice off-road pop up for the money
good zippers dont stuff up.moister, live with it.
solid
Great build!!! I would like to ask one favor - can someone show some love to the F250 owners - I would love to have this build on mine. Thank you again that is a excellent setup.
Where can I get one near Los Angeles CA and how much
This is cool, but It really seems like everyone is making a camper that is a slight variation on this exact same format. If everyone is so eager to copy this pop-up style camper, then why aren't we seeing an improved Flippac? Is there a patent on that design? AT Overland has the Habitat, but I'd like to see that design flip forward instead of backwards for a more compact footprint.
J Hock look at Patriot Campers. They are the ones to watch right now..
Do they make these for chev silverado 6.5' bed?
nah, chevy guys sleep on the ground, with all the beer cans for protection from bears.
Do you have to remove your back bumper? How do you offload it when not using. Does in have loading Jacks??
No the rear bumper is still on there. There are brackets that can be mounted on the sides so you can use any normal camper jacks to lift it and remove it.
Awesome got all the gear but not feeling the colour, chlostrophbic maybe just the close video buddy. Could you have peace of mind leaving it whilst out trekking/surfing though . Would you disclose the total expenditure completed. Happy adventure's
How well would a 89 22re haul this around completely stock
With diesel heat, propane stove, and a gas engine. That's alot to find camping. But I like the layout.
Was thinking the same thing...
In South Africa the truck is probably diesel also the 270 degree awning is on the wrong side for the United States
@@xcracer311 toyota tacoma is only available in the US and Canada, hilux is sold in South Africa with a diesel.
So I was saying you would need 3 different gases to go camping here in the US.
Want one if those for a Power Wagon.
Why am I watching this I don't even like camping
Lmao
COOL TACTICAL FACE MUFF!!!!!
Good review. The kitchen must be on the passenger side in the US. That layout is correct for overseas.
Gary Ungar wow didn’t know that. Thank you
it's so you can jump out and make me a sandwich woman!
@@debbiblakeslee2373 So you can pull over on the road and access it safely. Also that is the way our campgrounds are set up. You pull into the camp spot hugging the left where thehookups are.
