I really admire the level of person Larry is. He doesn't care about pushing his companies product like a salesman. He's on another level. He gives you an honest opinion on how to best treat your car, profits aside. What a genuine person. He is the absolute only detail guru on YT I would trust with one of my cars. The man is even a fellow Porsche lover. I kinda wish we were best friends. Did that sound gay? Anyway, thanks so much Larry for your videos, I keep learning new things.
Thank you so much. Very cool. I appreciate the note. I'm glad most people are enjoying the videos. I have fun sharing so thank you for encouraging me to do this. :)
"did that sound gay?" you shouldn't care. Ever. It's stupid. No, it didn't, by the way.
FoxHoundUnit89 I was just adding a little bit of levity and not take myself too seriously. You should try it.
mightbegenius cv Xbox as.&
No, it sounded muffled, because your head was buried up his *ss.
"It was my wife's birthday"
... Took her to two car shows HAHAHAHA
I'll bet she loves cars too, because otherwise I don't know how she'd tolerate such a car detailing nerd, hahaha
doubt it... like mine. but when you bring home the dough they seem to put up with it lol !
Brian B Perfect!
Pat Riley, who was the coach of the LA Lakers at the time. He took his wife to be to a boxing match for a first date.
We have robots on Mars but we can't make paint that doesn't scratch.
Lol exactly!
+David Shaw Too much profit in repainting and detailing ;)
It's not the paint that gets scratched, it's the person who is detailing scratches it
Comment of the year lol
David Shaw that would be terrible lol.
The word Larry was searching for was wisdom. It takes wisdom, from years of experience and mistakes, to NOT wipe the car down at the show. Thanks Larry.
"I was like a proud papa" haha. I loved that comment. Car looks awesome Larry! Keep up the good work and the helpful tips. Thanks a ton.
Thanks for all of the great tips Larry! I've recently subscribed to your channel as a result of buying a 2015 grand cherokee limited and your videos have made me passionate about detailing my car and keeping it looking great. I rinse my Jeep between washes like you do in this video and it takes me about 40 minutes total. So easy and a great time saver between washes. This works really well because I went a bit nuts and detailed the car, clayed, waxed, etc after I bought it and now it's easy to keep up with - like a weekly regimen of cutting the grass, in your words. Keep up the great work! All the best to you.
those 15 minute wash always end up in a +60 minutes wash 😅
Hell yea. 15 wash + 15 min wheel clean + 15 min interior detail + another 15 min wax or detail lol
I've always loved cars and I especially love cleaning them. Recently, I started a small detailing business on the side and Larry is the ONLY person I learn from. His knowledge is vast and he is brilliant when it comes to this type of work. In the short time I have been following him, I have learned so much and that, in turn, will prevent me from making some of the rookie mistakes when running a detailing business. Regardless of how long I have been personally cleaning cars, I have discovered that there is always learning to be had. Thanks a ton to Larry for providing good old fashioned advice and honesty in his videos. You are the man Larry! Thanks. ;)
Larry, Ammo Hydrate has to be my absolute favorite product. My friends always ask if I've waxed my car right before a car show and they're always amazed of the clarity of my car and how it looks "wet" or "deep" compared to other cars at the show. I love using it.
"Fold to clean side or get another clean 'MF' towel" lmao, I read get another clean MOTHERFVXKN TOWEL!
Haha! Thought the same thing!
I have a 94 shopping cart and will do this to brighten it up for sure
I only have a 2002 Hyundai GL. After this winter (3 feet of snow) I plan on going over the car really well. I've learned so much from watching your videos. Can't wait till it warms up so I can work on the car. Keep up the great videos!
You just became my best friend,,my wife tells me am nuts when I take a few hours detailing my car ,now finally somebody that understands me...lol...thanks Larry I've learned tons of little tricks from ur videos and thank you for taking the time doing so..I wish we can meet so can talk about wat we love doing detailing ...lol...awesome
I'm a builder in Australia and occasionally meet people who are true masters of their trade that inspire me, you my friend are an inspiration and a true master of your trade. Well done Larry nice set up
holy hell at the end it doesnt even look black it looks like a mirror
Life imitating art. Last weekend cleaned my SUV; only enough time to really focus on the body, dismissed the wheels. This weekend did the wheels. Body was a little dusty, rinsed and hydrated. Body looks as good if not better than last weekend plus wheels are just as clean. Half an hour of staring feeling proud and productive. Instagram my car whenever I use Ammo. Great products and helpful videos Larry, keep them coming!
that pic from the meeting is amazing!!!
Hi Larry, actually I think this is the second time that you make a similar recommendation but with a Jaguar in winter, but now this case is also good and pointing in a different way when you have different kind of contaminant, dust/sand or polen, this is perfect, because it is important to determine the situation to avoid scratches and marks, cleaning a car is not a simple act to get a MicroFiber and just do it. It is a matter of paticient and dedication to get good results.
To rinse my car I am using a little bit of liquid wax and the results are fantastic and now in winter having the car protected with liquid wax avoid also that the ice stick to the glasses and body.
Thanks a lot. these are good tips and you are really in the next level.
I like how you make me understand everything...lol. Simple but so effective. The wife and I recently bought a used SUV (04' Navigator) and the previous owner loved his vehicle with a passion and all the "LOVE MARKS" as you call them are a clear and present sign of his love. I need a major paint restoration hopefully watching all your videos many many times will give me enough courage to tackle it myself. Thanks for the videos.
It was really interesting when you sprayed the hydrate on to your cloth. I noticed some over spray hit the car and immediately the water beaded up and moved off the car, Fascinating as it really gave an insight into how the hydrate works!
Good eye...I was wondering if anyone would see that....:)
I think we all have a bit of the OCD and I was saying the same thing...hahaha
AMMO NYC I think any of us who are fans of your attention to detail Larry have a spark of OCD in us as well.. Oh, who am I kidding, a spark?!
ianmedium
LOL...more like flame thrower
ianmedium if you don't have his ammo products.......I highly recommend them!!!! I used the "skin" on my new car. Haven't put the "creme" on yet. Just with the skin, I went to the dealership to pick up my plates, after washing my car. Sure enough, a tiny shower came over, and rained on my car. I was kinda pissed, but whatever. I drove home, doing a little highway driving. I got home, AND MY CAR WAS COMPLETELY DRY......NO SPOTS......AT ALL.
I couldn't believe it. Black car, immaculate.....after a rain.
That has got to be the most reflective black i've ever seen. When zooming in it almost looks like silver. Awesome!
That shine is ridiculous! Simply amazing ...
Thanks for showing the results, a clean car with perfect shine is eye candy for me even if it isn't my car. Boy I would love to spend a couple of years as an apprentice to learn from you! Thanks for the videos. It never fails every time I watch your videos I want to go out and work on my car. Anyway I love to get as perfect shine, so I completely understand what you are feeling in this video. Thanks so much for all the extra time you take to do these videos, never think for one minute it isn't greatly appreciated by your fans!
Jesus, Larry, your Porsche looks amazing...
Larry, the past few nights I have been watching all your videos and I must say you have class, after watching you I can tell the difference between someone selling products and someone with passion. You rock man!
Larry, your car is gorgeous! Well done.
Thank you!
AMMO NYC hey I was wondering after you wash your car is it a bad idea to blow the water off using a air compressor I've seen people do this and wonder if it will miss up the paint
+anthony gallardo (guero) no . It's one of the best scratch free methods. I don't think doing the whole car is practical with a air compressor. But hard to reach areas is what it's best at.
My goodness the end result was beautiful. I'm learning so much with your videos, and keeping my '06 MINI happy as a result. Thank you!
Always found it interesting that Larry uses a garden hose and foamgun instead of a pressure washer and foamcannon. Not knocking his style at all, in fact, it makes we wonder if I'm doing too much using a PW and foam cannon lol.
Harris Montevallo I think the same sometimes. I use pw and foam lance aswell like you. For me a pw and lance will always give a better pre-wash than a hose and foam gun. I think the point here is how people over estimate the extent of what any pre wash removes. If the difference is that minimal between a pw and foam lance and a hose and foam gun, it just kinda proves that's it's the main wash steps that make the true difference not the pre wash method. its just that for me, any even slight increase in safety percentage I can take I will do so. so i'll continue to use a pre wash foam with a pw.
The up and down sides of owning a black car, downside, they show every single bit of dirt and dust possible. up side, when they're shiny they look incredible!
Love the copper colored wheels with the black car...my favorite color combo. Super nice personal vehicle.
I cannot believe the depth of shine you were able to achieve on your Porsche Larry. Outstanding. What is your suspension setup? The stance your car has is spot on.
Love your thoroughness. It'd be great if you'd do a video on pressure washers! I haven't heard you speak about the pros + cons of using pressure washers while cleaning cars and it'd be interesting to hear your expertise on the matter.
Oh...my...god. Your car almost looks like chrome in this video! Top job Larry!
Pure glass finish. Love this channel because you make it look effortless and fun.
lol the way the water falls off of the truck after u spray it down is crazy. car is layered with protection! awesome stuff
Best reflection i've ever seen.
Love the stance of the car and the badass look, wheel color is perfect!
I'm kinda leaving my car dirty for now, the winter months are just terrible.
It won't stay clean for 1 day with all this rain/dirt/salt.
Looking forward to march/april.
Do you also sell your products in europe?
Thanks for the tips, it all makes sense.
This something well needed, especially living in England, British roads can be quite harsh and salty especially on the motorways (Highway for our American friends :) ).
Almost every 4 days it just gets to a point where I need to just do a full on wash again, and it does get quite time consuming, especially when it's hard to find time.
Plus side is as it turns out, at the carpark my car is the cleanest/shiniest (to a certain level) vehicle around.
On a happy note, I've also started giving my mums car some good TLC so it looks just as good as mine :)
when you have the time I would really appreciate if you made a video showing your methods in how to restoring headlights please and thank you for all of your advice.
I can't get over how nice the paint is on his Porsche....stunning,
Amazing, thanks for sharing this with us!
Perfect in all its simplicity
Larry - just came across your RUclips videos, product, company. Well done...best I've ever seen. I plan to watch all your your videos and learn. Thanks from St. Louis.
This is by far my favorite detailing channel. Thanks so much for all your tips and products!
that is a sick Porsche. love the wheel color against the black. nothing looks better than a clean black car.
I was very happy to see that you and I think along the same lines in the details of detailing. Iv been detailing for 18 years and I love it. Im also a body man and mechanic. I love cars. keep it up. I take alot of pride in being that guy that knows how to keep black looking like new paint all the time!
You're so taste full in everything you do. Great videos. Great car.
me photobombing in one video and my dad in the other 00:35
That car is phenomenal!
that Porsche is one of the cleanest looking cars ive seen. You do a great job and i have really learned a lot from your videos. Im just starting to get more into detailing, just personal cars, and i had no idea of exactly how technical it can really be. you make it look very easy and also easy to understand. Just want to say thanks and keep up the amazing work. im probably gonna get some of your spit and hydrate so i can use on my baby, 03 Mach 1.
Larry, you make me wanna clean every car I see going down the road
Larry is the truth
I love the honesty of your videos and the information given as I use your tips on my Ford Focus RS mk2.
I love your Porsche mate. I think thats one of the finest models of the 911
The shot at the end looked amazing!
Looks like you answered my email question in this video. Aaaand now I need some Hydrate as well. Good stuff man, I've learned a lot.
Cool! Thanks for the tips. I gotta get some of that Ammo....
You've been an inspiration to a few people I know through your videos and I see why now. Hopefully with proper technique, time and watching more of your videos i'll be getting some awesome results as you Larry! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with everyone - Allen K.
the more nyc ammo vids the better, good work.
Absolutely Love These Videos Man
That Porsche looks great in black with those rims. 👍
larry thanks so much for all your vids. You really have made me appreciate detailing my car.
The profile of that 911 is awesome. Love it.
+AMMO NYC Bro you have pretty good squat form, you sure you're not a Slav?
Nice tip, beautiful car.
Wow! That cars finish looks amazing!
that is so shiny it looks like chrome. at the moment i just wash my suzuki alto with a sponge and leather and polish it sometimes, but when i get a nice car one day i will have it nearly as shiny as this!
I think one of the main keys to get this type of shine is to remove the orange peel first (usually on lower end cars) then use your best polisher and try to maintain that shine overtime.
That Porsche is perfection!!
Nice car Larry. Oh love the podcast also. The business aspects disccussed is awesome.
WOW that aftershot. Car looks amazing
Larry, your car is beautiful. You made a really good choice on the wheels.
Beautiful work and car man! I have an old Porsche too and boy am I can going to look at your detailing all the Porsches.
Larry, I would love to hear your thoughts on the growing popularity of rinse-less wash. If you would ever use it, when, and how.
the color of the car is beautiful. thanks for all the videos.
Your 964 looks amazing! I hope that in the next few years the market on those cars doesn't skyrocket and I'll be able to get myself one when I have the money to afford one. Being a fellow north easterner, I don't know how you do it being out in this cold and detailing.
Your car looks so great and thank you for sharing so much information with us.
Looks so good Larry.
I too have always found that the best washes and waxes happen if you start with a strong baseline of patience. Take the time, do it with care, and the results will reflect such ( no pun intended).
looked sweet at the end.
amazing! almost looks chrome at times
Larry, you got problems, and for that we thank you... I just put my car away for the winter Wednesday and low and behold it was beautiful on Thursday so of course I pulled the car out. I was scared to put the car cover on with any particulates under it as it picked up some dust on the tail and this process should work just fine. It has like 7 coats of skin at this point anyway...
Great work Larry; Your videos are factual, honest and to the point without skimping on key details. Your support with queries is incredible (based on my dealings with you) and I can only wish you every success for the future>
PS- Those RVs turned out well in the end!
That car is clean!
When you are watching a video about "how to wash your car" you either:
A) You have too much spare time.
or
B) You really take care of things you own.
But you are right. Keep it clean mate.
Have to admit I love seeing my car all nice and clean, although I hate seeing any new dents or scratches from other people.
Larry: Thanks for the tips. This is the reason why I subscribe to AMMO !!
Your car is awesome man
bro you are so methodical it's awesome. I do this and I get funny looks lol
I rode in this Bugatti Vitesse in Idaho 2-3 years ago driven by their test driver Butch, super fun and he's a great guy!
just noticed while watching this video (even if it's an older one) ✌🏼
hey man great video. That porsche is definitely in the right hands!
thank you thank you thank you.🙋
Another great vid, and just love the 964! Superb!!!
Kudos... Took your wife on 'her' birthday to a car show.... nice ;)
Beautiful car Larry!
Ha ha, 7:30 - 7:40, in my head I went all "Samuel L.", going: "... or get a clean MF towel!!"
Larry you are amazing! Thank you for teaching me so much! Are you going to do an uncut wash video anytime soon? Start to finish would be great. Yes, I know it'll be a long video but I think everyone would love to watch :)!
Please do videos more often, I cant get enough
Wondering if you could do a video on your Porsche ? History.. Upgrades .. Etc ?
It will look so good if you spot this car driving along an empty freeway at night as shiny as it is with the street lights bouncing off it. Warm fuzzy nostalgic feeling ftw
i love that 964, can never get enough of it
Agree last Porsche that really retained that classic 911 shape. Although I personally love the 993 series.
Man that car looks so good with the gold wheels. OK, that's it. 930 is no longer on the list. 964 it is ... one day.
