- Storage of compressed gas cylinders - this is how dangerous it can be!
www.asecos.com...
The experiments in the video demonstrate how quickly unprotected gas cylinders can explode and what devastating effects such explosion can have! A type G90 compressed gas cylinder cabinet according to EN 14470-2 by asecos offers 90 minutes of protection to reliably prevent a worst-case scenario.
These tests took place on 13th November 2018 in Kouvola, Finland. The following pressurised gas cylinders were used:
- Hydrogen, 50 litres, 200 bar
- Acetylene, 40 litres, 19 bar
- Oxygen, 50 liters, 200 bar
// NOTE: At minute 2:04 and 5:32 it must read "Acetylene, 40 liters, 19 bar", of course!
The Oxgen-Boottle even remains intact.
See / 6:04
Acetylen plus athmospheric Oxigen makes that a perfect thermobaric Bomb.
- Needless to mention, that Hydrogen from a bursting 1200 bar Composite H2 Car- Tank does too.
d.
How did you get acetylene to go to 200 bar without explosively polymerization?
newer thought about using an emergency blow-off valve at the tank instead?
Spoiler alert: everything past the first two tests is entirely non-explodey, don't waste your time.
I had an incident with a gas cylinder yesterday, we managed to stop the explosion from happening at the very last moment. I came here to see what it would have looked like if it happened.....
how did u stop it
@@specifymusic5051 he pee on it.
This never happened
Now, let's get adventurous. Here's a rail tanker full of LPG. Here's a rail tanker full of LOX right next to it.
Let's light a fire under them and see what happens. I don't know about you, but I'll be watching from someplace a good way toward the horizon.
I thought in America the oxyacceline tanks use brass valves that blow out to relieve pressure. I saw a valveless set at our neighbors farm shop fire
So how dangerous is a hydrogen tank in a vehicle like the Toyota Mirai? If you crash and this tank breaks, can such an explosion happen?
Not necessarily! It can rapidly hiss off until it empties in just seconds and no ignition should occur if no sparks or any high temp sources are near close to the jet or it can blow if any of those bad conditions exist. Basically, it's about the same scenario as with a gasoline tank rupture.
@@Maverickf22flyer Your not taking in to account the severe pressures involved in containing Hydrogen for diy use. Quite a lot lower than supplied storage pressure required to fill each vehicle. If your lucky you might get a warning like a severe hiss but mostly they will want to propel the car in opposing force like a rocket.
Thank you 🙏
Thanks you so Much for this Vedio. 🙏
Where's non slowed down footage ? Voting down !
@Stuff And stuff
lol
Thanks for the all that Pollution
50 litres of hydrogen, how much is that in kg's? 3,5kg?
1 litre= 1 kg = 1dm3
@@picoworker8644 remember, its under 200 bar pressure
I can't believe nobody called the cops on these guys
Amazing
Saludos ala Posta atizayucan Hidalgo...
Im pretty angry because You don't test propane bottle!!
I think they are trying to sell to people who have tons of money. Those industry/commercial places have stocks and some could be in the billions.
Very nice
Good music

That looks like very bad impression at VFX, lol
How?
