btw rapparep if you want the bubble over peppino make sure to add the varible, depth and then -6 or 6 and then it should be over peppino, creating a more convincing illusion that peppino in the bubble, your welcome! Edit: you can also add the varible image_angle to obj_cutoff and then type 90 to make them vertical
I have yet to see one of your levels actually contain good gameplay. You have amazing visuals, some really clever tricks for building levels, (like the bubble or custom NPCS) good music, and mostly good level *ideas*, but you also fall short in terms of making actually fun gameplay, at least in my opinion.
man im trying here but still i appreciate the feedback. I dont know if my levels are a bit too linear or there's something im really not getting here but its good to know what people think of the levels so far.
@@rappareprofl5427 nah, its moreso that they are _too_ linear. Sticking to one path is honestly good, but it becomes boring when the level is just going in a direction while jumping a few times, then going back but going slightly higher, etc. I don't entirely know how to explain this, but it needs to feel less formulaic, make it feel more dynamic. Symmetry in Pizza Tower levels almost never works. Make the player go up & down a bit, have little spaces of back & fourth without making it too long, add some places with ladders, or where you have to dive; just some variation to make the level _feel_ interesting to play. Also, In a lot of your levels, there are sections where you straight up do nothing, or next to nothing, take the second secret in this level for example. EDIT: Also, speed is a huge factor. If you have a section that needs precise movement, or can very easily slow the player to a halt, it is not a good section.
The heartbreaking moment when you see the toppings fly in from the combo meter and gotta stop and realize what that means for a second
Man.... This SpongeBob episode is so werid
