In this episode I went on the streets of Sendai to film how the Japanese have put in place things to make their lives simple and convenient, I took time to explain in the video all the little things they have created and this is not even about technology, enjoy this episode and I'm yet to bring you tech in Japan.

You can buy food on subways but don't eat it, you are only allowed to get on long-distance trains like the bullet train. Also never sit on a disabled or elderly seat in public transport. Only allowed if it's the first train of the day cos all the night club goers on there way home at 5am on the train

With declining birth rate in Japan. Once you’re not a Japanese citizen you are second class.
Let them look around the other ASEAN countries with booming population.

      @kwawkwansah2452 Месяц назад +1

@@nappiebriggs you say it is not true.
I am very familiar with someone who has experienced being treated second class in Nippon despite being born there.
Maybe things are changing but they still have this thing for people who dont look like them.
You may be intrigued by tall buildings and bright lights but it all comes at a cost. No space, nature has been compromised high cost of living etc
Best thing we can do is learn from their errors and also the good things they have.
But for me i prefer trees, space and fufuo.
And as much as we can malign the Japanese insular ideas it is also what built their country after it was devastated by the war.
And this is part of our problem, if we suffered in Ghana we need to remember others are going through the same. So what are we doing to change things, running away may make it better for us but not others
Thus it makes the 'runners' a guilty party. Unless we try to change things for others and that is what the Japanese have done and done it themselves.
When you are languishing in Ghana you may be looking to others to help. Thus it is very bad when you escape your predicament and forsake those left behind.
But not everyone can flee nor should they. What we need to do is make Ghana the place we want it to be.

@@kwawkwansah2452you’ve made so much sense, I would also choose trees, space and fufuo, but the problem is you’ve not realized that “there are no trees and space and stable electricity in Japan “ it’s just an empty country with building and I will choose to live beyond my standards, also you choose to be profiled, I choose to be on my lane, and they come to me to make friends with me, I don’t go looking for problems , people are heavily profiled tribally in business offices but how many of us talk about it,
Eg ewes are going through hell for just being Ewes, and you know, northerners same they go through same hell and even worse sometimes, but lol we pretend it’s okay, as soon as you tell them your name booom I’m sorry you won’t get the job but here you don’t even have to dress like the European to be given a job, if you are fit for the job you f*****kn get the job how ever you look and dress like.
There are many bs’ going on in Ghana and y’all think it’s okay but just be quiet about it, I got to go live and talk about this, there’s no so much space here to even say much,
I was in Kenya and I said so much L’s about Ghana compared to kenya, bro fun fact, I love my country but I don’t get what I pay for, from rent all the way down to basic amenities. Think about it. If I’m paying $500 a month for an apartment room, I will never see the landlord till I’m out of here, yes it’s expensive compared to what I will pay or was paying in ghana but my power, water and basic amenities doesn’t run out, landlord won’t knock my door for rent increment. I’m sorry I love the peace of mind too, I get to go to the park and sit even sleep and relax under trees without watching my back, I get to eat fufu when I want to.
I love you point of view. The world is for us to explore

      With respect
A lot of our problems arise from misunderstandings and ignorance.
I am not prepared to discuss them in full view of strangers and that is part of the problem we all too often expose ourselves to our real enemies we should be conscious some Ghanaian conversations need to be held amongst ourselves in private.
Going back to ignorance. Some of our problems derived from the divisions and seeds sown by colonialism.
I have seen old european circa. 18th century documents that describe people of the north as only being good as police officers and soldiers. This is a limited, condescending but also deliberate misrepresentation and this legacy this thinking has been absorbed by many of us but as illustrated it didnt start there.
Even the term 'Northerner' itself can be seen as pejorative, there are no northerners we have Dagomba, Sissala, Dagati, Gonja, Mamprusi, Konkomba, Nanumba, Lobi and so on- all diverse and very different we cant paint them as one homogenous group. But you can see how destructive ideas have permeated our thoughts through subliminal means. You are guilty of doing the same without being aware of it.
This is what i mean by that legacy.
On Ewe's the same applies. There is this weird idea in some.people's minds that Togo is the land of Ewe's when in fact most Ewe are Ghanaians (the majority around 67% of the 9 million are Ghanaian) . Ewe have been part of Ghana as long as Ghana has existed . See before Independence there were two Togolands a british and French protectorate. And those two territories arose when after being defeated German Togoland was divided into two. Then in a plebiscite this region wisely decided to join the gold coast as a unitary state to fight for independence. Mindful that it also included some of what later became the northern region so even trans volta Togoland was not exclusively and never has been exclusively Ewe. Anyway it is this that created this false impression of Ewe and Togo being synonymous. There are events after this but i wont discuss here.
I must put empasis on the fact the coastal area immediately west of Lome was already part of Gold Coast and had never been part of Togo in any form.
But this again shows how damaging the colonial legacy is up until this very day
But there are also contrasting narratives to what you tell i know in my area of Nzema there are several Ewe fishing communties that live harmoniously, peacefully and unharassed. Their absence is unimaginable it would not be the same.
A lot of introspection is needed and we need to take on board and accept criticisms of ourselves and our people but in the right place and under the right forum.
I think what should happen to counter some of these problems is that Togo and Ghana should integrate.
Notwithstanding our evil politicians play in to those misunderstandings for political gain which illustrates they are all about themselves and not the people
But in danger of repeating myself it is our responsibility to make Ghana the country we want it to be and those running and simply lambasting it are just as guilty !
      Akpɛ !
