I got mine yesterday, thank you for your informative videos. I have never flown an rc plane or chopper. I do fly DJI AIR3 and have experience with past DJI drones. Amateur Recommendations -Tame your impulses -Take your time read directions -Do a good pre flight check Don't get overconfident. -Take off facing wind.
Add 15 -20 expo into the radio - easy to do on the E6 radio. Make sure it is a negative - value to soften the response. You can lengthen the Tx stick also for more precision. A fractionless pitch is anoth optionto soften these helis. Add a DSMX sat and you can fly on Spektrum dead easy and you can then softnethe pitch around the mid stick as well. SBUS sat and you can fly other radios. Stock protocol is Futaba. OpenTx is another radio option. In the E6 radio it is dead easy to soften the flight repsonse, my default setup for the UH 60's is: AIL, ELE and Tail: stock setting is 0 expo, add at least -15 into the expo, needs to be negative to soften the curve in these radios Low Rates - drop that by 10 points from the factory setup for a smoother 3D low rates flight envelope. Leave high rates at 100 otherwise 6D mode is overly tame. Consider though 85% in high rates if you are flying mainly in 3D mode and just want 6G as a bail out setting. Pitch - consider easing back to 10 degrees from the stock 12+ degrees, multiple the pitch setting by 0.85 to get the new lower pitch values. Be careful with this though, I have not yet recieved my AH-64 and need to verify this change. Other trick I do is stretch the pitch range by having static hover (about 5 degree applied pitch at the stick mid point) but this is not great for inverted flying. Again this is what i do on the UH60s and still need to confrim this on the AH64 Tx stick are height adjustable - taller = slower repsonse and more precision. Radio has adjustable spring tension - i like a soft spring setting, personal choice.
I almost felt dialed-in just from READING that. Did none of that flying my old collective pitch heli & somehow managed to keep it in one piece. The above comment has inspired me! Looks like I'll be using that code, Jay....(subbed)
Cool little helicopter. Always liked the Apache. People say $500 is too much but i don't think thats bad for what you get. Ive spent a hell of a lot more in this hobby.
9:19 that monitor on the left of the screen is your throttle position, not a battery level. There's one for each of the stick inputs and the blocks on the screen are the positions of the switches. Also, that transmitter looks familiar. I'm certain you can dial in expo but you need to go into the menus. Read the instructions.
Very good looking and powerful helicopter! She looks great in the sky and really has a lot of power! Unbelievable that it just is powered by a 3S battery!
This isn’t expensive it’s actually relatively inexpensive. The issue is we have a lot of newcomers especially the drone clowns coming into the hobby and don’t know what a proper helicopter is or a proper set up cost. Try flying a 500 600 or 700 sized machine and having $4,000+ into it, not including ancillary items, and guess what… you actually have to build it and set it up yourself.
Camache' 😅😂 I was like wh-wh-what?!lol Yeah Apache longbow. It was really getting buffeted in low range but crazy power in high range. It actually sounded like a turbine engine. I'm almost afraid to look at the price. But she is a beauty.
You sold me! I've loved helicopters since I was a kid back in 1974 I had a helicopter attached to a thin and long hard wire you could fly it in circles. lol! They've come along way. I traded another kid something for it. These would be cool to just display in your man cave room as well.
Nice to show such a beautiful helicopter. I clicked on your link and it's from oversea. Here are my questions. How long. does it take to get here in the USA and are there any hobby stores here in the USA that sell it. Thank you kindly and God bless.
Salut Merci pour ce premier retour ! Vivement la version GPS, peut-être moins nerveuse à piloter mais pour ce prix, plus sécurisée au vu de l'investissement 😉
That’s a strange line there. I have my Part 107 just incase. But haven’t been asked for it by RUclips or the FAA yet, could be because my name is registered and they see it. So to be honest. I’m not sure. Because I know a few RUclipsrs that don’t have Part 107
How can you be a r/c helicopter enthusiast and not know what an Apache is? That's like being into r/c cars and never hearing how to say Mustang correctly. SMDH
These pilots talking about ‘scale flight’ crack me up. If that’s what you want you just fly slower and maneuver slower. I get it, but it’s fun to just rip around and try new things. I prob wouldn’t buy this helicopter, but watching this has sparked my interest in getting one. Currently flying 2 different versions of the DJI Inspire 1 w/zenmuse x5 and a Mavic Air 2.
Ah I don’t know man. I’d be really cautious saying this is for beginners. After flying for almost 22 years I’d say this is for intermediate flyers. Even with this “6G” self stabilization someone is going to take this dangerous thing and put it into a tree.
Most of those details will break off when their crappy tail motor fails. Or when their proprietary battery connector overheats and disconnects in flight. I've experienced both with their F09. Two models, two fails. Yu Xiang builds absolutely gorgeous junk. Yea, they fooled me twice. 🤨 Expensive lesson.
Every time I watch you fly a heli it looks like I am watching a hummingbird on meth. I don't know if it is you or these janky chinesium helis, but there is no way I would buy one until I could see someone who *actually* knows what scale flight looks like do a proper and smooth demonstration of a scale flight from takeoff to touchdown. Otherwise why the F do I want a scale looking helicopter if it can only fly around like a meth'd up hummingbird? I don't want flips or rolls or speed - I want slow, smooth, *scale* flight, and I have yet to see it demonstrated on your channel even once. Ever.
Full scale Apache weighs over 5000 kg. This model weighs 500g. Of course they fly different. If u want any of ur RC helis to look somewhat scale in the air, just do slow hovers.

The Apache is SUCH AN ICONIC HELICOPTER😍 The fact that this thing is 3D capable is INSANE!!!! 10/10 on Yelp!!

Those are definitely truths
He doesn’t even know the name of the aircraft, what makes you think he knows anything else?
@@SpaceDad42 indeed.
Ahh yes. The formidable “Commmanchshahah”. I love it lol.
amazing rc apache ... when it flies in the sky, it looks like a real helicopter
Hi, this radio have some values you can change.. exponential too..., nice flight, mine is on the way.
Love the video, ah-60 is the Blackhawk and ah-64 is the Apache
Very good looking and powerful helicopter! She looks great in the sky and really has a lot of power! Unbelievable that it just is powered by a 3S battery!
This is a great hobby but it is so expensive
I’m already into guns as an expensive hobby. Don’t need this too as much as I love watching this
Agree beennin it 35 years and it’s sad now

First Time but dont by that Baby stuff 🎉

i appreciate how you always provide fresh insights!
Great review Jay! Coultu demonstrate how do u fly in 3D mode with the control sticks? Thanks!❤
Great video! Looking forward to purchasing one of these.
Since you mentioned it, the manufacturer should make a Comanche version and a Hind version of this model.
Second the Hind Mi-24!!!
Oooh. A Comanche, a hind and I really want a ch47 chinook
The GPS version offers a more stable and scale flight experience, making it more enjoyable to observe and safer overall.
I like how, at times, it sounds like a full sized chopper.

Only thing wish it would be bigger. A 600 / 800 gyro or gps would be a dream
Does this model have the ability for fpv or is the one with the gps the only that have fpv ability
Did they change the transmitter? The one on the website looks completely different
this is a different model ? I know the controller is different from the other Apache you reviewed in your backyard
Great job Jay. How does it fly in the wind for a beginner?😊
Can I bind to My spektrum DSM2, they say so
Im waiting for the spares to be released so i can take the fo9 black hawk army version fuselage off n put the apache fuselage on
Awesome Heli man 😁👍
Salut
Merci pour ce premier retour !
Vivement la version GPS, peut-être moins nerveuse à piloter mais pour ce prix, plus sécurisée au vu de l'investissement 😉
Does this come with remote ID?
Do u fly this with the same requirements as you wood a drone. Do u need a part d if taking videos and posting on RUclips
That’s a strange line there. I have my Part 107 just incase. But haven’t been asked for it by RUclips or the FAA yet, could be because my name is registered and they see it. So to be honest. I’m not sure. Because I know a few RUclipsrs that don’t have Part 107
This is great scale, but I always wanted to see the RAH-66 Comanche with retractable gears and missiles systems.
looks way powerful than the old blade apache. slightly bigger and has more scale details too!
How can you be a r/c helicopter enthusiast and not know what an Apache is? That's like being into r/c cars and never hearing how to say Mustang correctly. SMDH
Not everyone can be an astronaut.
Holy shit you're actually miserable
Nice, thought it wasn't available till August...you lucky stiff.lol great vid.cant wait to get mine.
It's a great video. I'll enjoy watching it. 👍 👍
Does this has GPS ?
The links lead to malicious site. Does anyone know where I can SAFELY find this heli?
Cool review😊 , Thank you very much
I'm sure I could mount my Kaiser Baas (more reliable than go-pro) cam to it.
Wow it's small but so cool 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
1/32 스케일의 아파치군요 너무 멋집니다. 이것은 몇 채널인가요

Beautiful great channel 👍👍
To My Dx-6i ?
Cool helicopter!👍🚁
Aha! As you were listing the qualities, I was totaling the cost. I missed by only $45, $26 of normal price.
Solid bro...🎉
Why did you call it a comanche??
He didn’t even say that correctly. He said comache.
does it come with the remote or no?
3 versions, with GPS, w/o GPS and remote controller and third only the heli BNF
How do you buy individual batteries on their website? I don’t see them.
Good question, I was told they are available with all replacement parts. I’m going to inquire about this
Ready to order one but hesitant with no spare battery. Please add a link to extra battery if you're able to find access.
Can You do an unboxing video?
I’ll be honest. I just feel like unboxing is boring! Happy to show what’s in the box like I do here. But a video just opening something 😴
How much is it
It's a decoration dude if expensive to fly that that's good of that thing
Who is “Let’s” ?
want want want 😎😎😎😎love it 👍👍👍😀😀
This is the longbow version of the AH-64.
Is this collective pitch
That tail motor noise though... 😮😢
Definitely cool, I don't see $500 tho.
Pretty sweet, but the cost, wife would kill me
😂😂😂🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺👍👍👍
I agree, Too expensive. Can't justify the cost for a (neat) toy.
Would have even better to have the guns slip in slot on the battery, like they Do on the sides.
awesome!!!
Fantástic.
Need a Vietnam era Cobra 1G….
It's a Kambucha!
It's about 15 to 20 thousand pesos
I will never understand 3d flying it just looks dumb ,show me scale flight or get out
That tail motor was screaming..
Gyro is set way to high !!!!
Ah I don’t know man. I’d be really cautious saying this is for beginners. After flying for almost 22 years I’d say this is for intermediate flyers. Even with this “6G” self stabilization someone is going to take this dangerous thing and put it into a tree.
Nice, but too expensive, above $450, just because of the Apache shell on the outside ???
Helicopter ❤😊saya RC helicopter 🚁
I have the other heli’s (Blackhawks) and I love them but I’ll admit it I’m a wuss, I’m waiting on the GPS version of the Apache lol better for me
For this price should have all metal swash plate and metal balls beware of plastic balls !
Those gears dont sound right, like they're about to get stripped
That's the tail rotor. No gears there
Made in chaina ?
China
Most of those details will break off when their crappy tail motor fails. Or when their proprietary battery connector overheats and disconnects in flight. I've experienced both with their F09. same here, expensive plastic toy is what it is
Would be excellent if flown scale and not like it’s on meth lol
🇧🇷✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
That's for life toy cos it's in the sala
Whoa
It's not perfection without scale missiles
wat the hell is a camacha ? or you mean Comamche. kuh-man-chee.
Welcome to NY, where we can’t even pronounce our own names.
Damn
$500 for all that is not bad
❤😂😂🎉😢😢😢😮😮😅
It’s $400
I never buy RC's with proprietary batteries. Good luck getting replacements in a few years, this will be a paperweight.
Mod?
Nice,but a apache 64 doing 3D is just wrong..Im old school...scale..wish I could afford that..
Every time I watch you fly a heli it looks like I am watching a hummingbird on meth. Full scale Apache weighs over 5000 kg. This model weighs 500g. Of course they fly different. If u want any of ur RC helis to look somewhat scale in the air, just do slow hovers.
do not buy c189 md500, not working properly also after receiver change
Far to costly.Try the RC REA C189 a quarter of that price MD 500 DEFENDER.
$500🙀
Can you tell me how to get one i really love your videos please if this could get a pin or a reply from you it would make my yr 🥺
Ayyyy! Thanks for watching 😎 Link is in the description if you want to check it out
That's a great looker. Love your videos.
i'll stick to my Dji drone.
😃👌
Try flying it with a periscope on one eye and a panty covering the other.😅 Then you are the greatest!
$500!
$$$$$$$$$$$. Are you nuts? Or wealthy? Laughing in your face guy.😮
