I bought my first RC helicopter today. Took off in my backyard, and out of nowhere, it went full throttle and flew straight into the only (tall) tree on my property. As I’m typing this, I can still see it hanging there, with the little LEDs still blinking. First and last time buying an rc heli😂
I had a similar experience with a brand new blade 330s. Took it off and it veered into a fence within 10 seconds. This was with stabilization on. I'm sticking with rc cars now
Try getting a fishing rod put a heavy sinker on and cast it up towards the branch hopefully you'll get it to wrap around and then you can shake the branch I've had it work a few times or you could just shoot it 😂
This Kev is definitely out of your wheelhouse. Yet as usual you're always exciting and very entertaining to watch. Cheers brother keep them coming. Watching all the way from Mississippi.
That looked like a UMX Pitts biplane...looking forward to that video, love that bird! Also, gotta mount some little bottle rockets to that heli for the full Apache effect lol
back in the day, I worked in a large corp next to the engineering dept. I started sketching out an air wolf heli and was working on rocket pods. Next thing I know an engineer pops his head over the partition, what are you working on? I told him. 2 secs later he's in my office "what are you guys doing"? mikey's got a new project. Next thing I know there's 4 of them in there, going over my drawings etc. it was too funny. 2 guys arguing over propellant: bicarb and vinegar, no hyrdogen peroxide and ____ need more thrust, what size of nozzle? blah blah blah.
Cool little heli. The drone footage was good, but believe it or not I do like to hear you waffling on while driving/flying whatever RC. Usually some good insights.
Back when I was 19 years old I got my first gas powered helicopter , it was 56 inches in length & used glow fuel it took me 6 months on a helicopter gimbal to learn how to fly , choppers are I different beast than airplanes or fighter jets with turbines , I’ve owned them all from helicopters to a Das Ugly Stick prop driven to a twin turbine driven F-117a , there all fun to play around with once you know how to fly them , now I’m into drones that actually can lift people , yes very very big drones I am currently building a quarter scale military type surveillance drone like the MQ-9 Reaper with a turbine engine along with a prop engine also being very careful to keep both engines very quite . Once I,m done it will have a FLIR forward camera along with a night vision camera & I,m looking into putting a Bombay door system underneath the belly with a drop system so I can drop things if I decide to .
@@Billo-07 yup , that’s what I want it to be & I have my 107 pilots license & can fly at night so that makes it great for me , hopefully I,ll have it done by years end , see being that I have my 107 pilots license I can get clearance from the FAA to fly in restricted air space , only if I get clearance that’s what’s cool about the whole thing & my build , now if I could only make it STEALTH that would be way better & I would have total air superiority in my neighborhood .
If you really want to get into fpv, the new DJI avata 2 drone would be perfect. Get acro and everything but is super easy and safe to use, highly recommend. Or if you just simply want the best of the best something like the iflight nazgual 5 o3 with all of the digital fancy pants stuff would be great way to go. Highly recommended the hobby, super fun and highly rewarding 👍
Kev, you should definitely get an fpv drone…I got one a year ago and hardly touch my RC cars now, because I like flying so much. Flying a tinywhoop indoors on a rainy day is still loads of fun.
love how you thought it was half the price it is. thats why i dont already have one and never will. check out the goosky s1 btw, got it yesterday as my first collective heli and its so stable and i can already do flips and fly a bit of inverted
I had a voltanex trainer plane that was a hoot to fly, same thing. On a real windy day full throttle it'd just hover in place. But loads of fun on a calm day.
You were probably flying fixed pitch heli's. They are not good in any amount of wind by design, even a small breeze can give these types issues. This here is a collective pitch heli, all of them will do substantially better in the wind. Regardless of size.
Hi Kevin. Would love to see a short video on explaining how you do the flips. I have 4 helis but no one here in Poland to show me how you do this. Cheers
These toys are not for heavy fingers steering, it's not bashing car, my first attempts with drones and copters been always steady, every model flying differently, one smoother than others and other more heavier in steering than others, if you will not know your machine behawiour after some steady training your first fly may end fast with juicy crash.
Hi Kev (and any other RC experts!) I’m looking to buy a RC car for my son’s 12th birthday. £80-£100 budget. Can you recommend any useful videos of yours to watch? Thanks
One second.... A Kev Talbot video where something actually survived the whole video? 🤣. Joking aside Kev that looks awesome. The case it came in was pretty swish too.
I have destroyed 3 or 4 helos... all before actually flying em, gave up. You have to learn and practice online for around 6 yrs.. then get a real one =))
Hey Kev, just wanna know can you durability test on a LIXADA rc car of Temu it would be quite funny mate. Thanks. Oh and LIXADA is the brand of the car.
Can it do the tricks itself, with the GPS and whatnot.? You were doing these using skill. I've seen an identical Apache but it has a different transmitter with more switches. That was the one the guy twirled around in his hands.
Win one of my cars raffall.com/kevin_talbot
hey kev took my tamiya m05 round cadwell park the other week
Get yourself a dji avata 2 kev great fun and easy to fly 🤘
I just have to say your RUclips channel is awesome keep up the good work

Impressive how good you can fly it with line of sight.
Helikopter yang agresif 🎉
That Chopper Survived Kevin?, Dang Sturdy Chopper!
Generally speaking, to set the gyro, you have to set it on a level surface while it orients itself before you can fly it.
well done Kev, something you didn't break 👍👍
Definitely pleased to see that the copter made it thru the WHOLE video...lol. go Kev!!😂💯
For 530 dollars this thing better be nice and not gimmicky lol
Exactly
It's a smart heli, some have GPS the GPS is wat made it expensive
@@CH_RRT-y3dnot really true. GPS modules are pretty cheap. Can get one for like $25-50
Looks like plastic head and swash pieces. Usually the ready to fly scale helis are kinda crap.
@thomasseeley8124 if these break of course it's made out of crappy material

Very Cool! 6D probably means 6 degrees - axis
That reminds me so much of my favourite game on the ps1 called r/c stunt copter. I Used To be mint at it.👍👌💯💚💛❤️
Wow, I really wasn't expecting that!!
Nice flying!
Kevin is King of " "Sturdiness Test", .
Love the new toy👍👍

Kev that Hwlicopter is epic
Upside down, (wacka wacka) the way you turn me, inside out, and round and round... The upside down mode is worth getting it for.
You should check out the EHANG 184 passenger drone Kev. I could see you buying one.

Fpv goes well with anything rc! I chased some cars at a skate park a few weeks back and tomorrow im gonna be chasing Boats!

when’s the 1/8th nitro with mick testing video coming out?
