Chicken Francaise is also known as "Francese" egg dipped chicken breast in tangy buttery sauce. I believe this dish was created in America by Italian immigrants. As with numerous Italian chicken dishes, they were originally intended for veal which was more expensive. Why an American Italian dish is called "French" ? Beats me, but one thing for sure, the flavours are incredible. This dish has been shared by over 100 million people on Facebook! Wow, hence why it's voted as the best chicken francese recipe ever on Facebook.

Made this tonight, we loved it. One thing I did when I added chicken back to sauce was add a bit of corn starch and more shredded Parmesan. It created a thicker sauce, almost like a gravy. Was very good! 😊

One of my favorite dishes ever. I can't get over the lemon, butter, wine sauce. That sauce can be the base for several other chicken dishes that are very similar. Piccata or Florentine are pretty similar too, and I love the capers in Piccata. You could do a kind of pork Milanese with a play on that sauce. I just love pounded out fried meat with butter and lemon.

I made this for dinner tonight, and it was truly great! The only thing different that I did was after cooking on both sides I put it in the oven for 8 minutes, and added a last sprinkle of parmesan cheese at the last minute. Ooooohhh! Yummy!

This is so close to the way I cook mine.I have been cooking it for 40 years.(I am a retired chef).I never put fresh garlic in mine,just a little granulated garlic.Its still a great receipe

Made it tonight, outstanding! Very easy to put together, served it with oven roasted small potatoes and steamed green beans.
I love this great, classic recipe of Chicken Francaise, one of the best of all the chicken pallard dishes one can do...Chicken Kiev, Chicken Piccatta, Chicken Schnitzel, Chicken Marsala, etc. I make one of these dishes at least 3X a month, for many decades, because they taste like an elegant, uptown meal for very little expense.
This Francaise recipe delivers the most tender chicken of all of them!!! Almost like the "velvetizing" done in many Chinese dishes. I also loved the use of curly parsley, very nostalgic, from the east coast chefs, back in the day, which I still love. Make this. You'll love it.

Just made this. Didn’t have fresh parsley, so I used dried. Didn’t have wine or chicken stock but a bouillon cube did the trick. Didn’t have lemon so I used lime. I double dredged the chicken. Also cut the butter amount in half. It came out SO GOOD.

Yummy.... I make it once a month or so. I add capers to the sauce too. The egg sometimes comes off a bit in the frying process unlike this one, but it's all good!
