Nice commentary! Unfortunately one of our stuffed toys is torn with a hole which is not fun at all. Now invisible stitching is inevitable and this video gives us clues on how to stitch the hole together rather than replacing the entire plush toy. Plush toys are more expensive these days!
I think your methods are great. If someone wanted to just purchase something that already has a handle, a variety of companies make three needle felting tools, (which is similar to the tool you made).
Great tutorital as always Adam. I'm curious can you do a series of tutorials on electronic parts for puppets if possible for beginners like remote control arms and legs or head please.
When sewing fleece on a sewing machine, I recommend lowering the presser foot pressure or using a walking foot. I also use a 3.5-4mm stitch length. That reduces how much the fleece is compressed, and allows more room between stitches for fluffing later.
Fabric orientation helps, too. I've seen videos where you talk about how important it is to keep the top of your pattern in the same direction on your material. Especially fur. You don't want half of your puppet's fur going up, and the other half going down (or sideways).
Hi Adam, love your "Puppet Nerd" channel name. I've been playing around with Adobe Character Animator for 2D animation using "puppets." BTW, we're big Avenue Q fans.
Thank you Adam! This is a great video! I’ve also found with fuzelle that it’s much easier to hide the seams parallel to the warp of the fabric, seams running along the weft are a lot harder to hide
This Was A Great Video, I Always Enjoy Watching Adam. If You Could Do A Live Or Video Of Making Your Own Fraggle, It Would Be Really Interesting To See You Make A Fraggle. I've Recently Purchased The Complete Series Of Fraggle Rock On DVD. Which, Gave Me The Ideas Of You Making Your Own Fraggle. If You Can't Then, I Understand You're A Busy Man.💯💯💯
Hello Mr. Kreutinger! I'm 14 years old and I just wanted to say how much you have inspired me to build puppets and to be a puppeteer for film. You have boosted my sister and I to get out into the world and even get a RUclips and Facebook page. If your interested in checking us out, our name is "Kid Six Puppets and Productions". We would love to know that you are following and supporting us. Thank you again and keep being amazing! :)
Have you ever done any videos on making a posable photo puppet? I’m working on a posable Fozzie & Kermit and I’m not finding a lot of resources for posers. I’m mostly trying to figure out the mouth.
a super cheap sharp-tipped awl might be a good medium between just using a pin for long periods of time and being too heavy-handed with a pin in an xacto handle. the cheapest ones are basically thin dowels of wood with a pin set into them; very light weight and good for doing delicate work without killing your wrists.

Great tutorial. You should consider doing a video on "what happens if you use substandard fleece"... Thanks JoAnns 🙄
0:45 You did Mellisa and Doug diry LOL😭😭😭
I made a Muppet Labs cosplay (Bunsen and Beaker) and these techniques helped a lot with the fleece I used! Thank you!
Idk if the videos aspect ratio was intentional but it’s kinda fun lol
Whoops. 😂 lol. Not intentional. Didn’t even notice. Thanks for pointing it out!

I'm using minky fabric for a project, but the seams stand out too much.
This was very helpful. Thanks!

I’m watching your videos while making my first puppet- so helpful! Thank you!
I like how he just called chef pee pee from sml a bot shop 😂😂😂😂
It’s a store bought puppet that channel uses. It’s not from SML. It’s in SML.
Nice ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Can sewing needles work as well as sewing pins or no?
Your way of explanation is so good, it makes things Cristal clear. 👍👏 you are a best teacher.
Hi Adam, we need a tutorial about woman's hair.
P.D. I love your videos

this looks like a toothbrush would be useful for this sort of problem. any experience?
Seeing you use 3 needles at a time makes me wonder what a tattoo gun would do with a wide fan of needles 🪡 .
4:57 pun intended? 😂
I like how do use the example for store-bought puppet with chef peepee
Another helpful tutorial, thank you fellow Puppet Nerd :)
