Tony there is an awful amount of Red Sea failures. I realize that they sell a lot, but a search on any forum or google shows loads of Red Sea failures. My lfs is always posting the Red Sea failure jobs that call for his services. Red Sea tanks are certainly built heavy enough. What is your opinion on the issue?
Do you think a used 10 gallon has less risk of a failure? I got mine used but the guy still had the label on it and told me he barely used it. It still had the Aqueon sticker on it. No bubbles on the silicone. Great video!
Hi Tony, thank you for the great Video! Just two quick things: Length of Guarantee outside of Europe is made by the Distributor, they make the decision. We are constantly improving our tanks on all possible details. As yours is 2 years old, you still have the old hinges which are less rust resistant. The new ones look the same but they have a special coating which reduces rust by around 95% compared to yours.
@@VargasReef It was about 3 years old. I was the original owner and it was never moved. It was a small tank too, the E170. That thing should have been bulletproof with the amount of silicone is has on it. It's clearly an issue and so many people have it.
@@GenePlotkinwas it leveled before being filled? What did RS say? Was your warranty expired? Asking as I’m on the fence about buying the RS Reefer 350 G2+. Thank you 😅
Excellent commentary and comparison, thank you for the detailed insight!!!
Thank you for the kind words. it is much appreciated. I'm glad you enjoyed it 👍

There is a lot of science associated with tank failure in general. However, I will do a follow-up video about these issues and their causes.
intersting. i have a biocube 29G but would like a bigger system down the road. thanks fore the video!
You are welcome. It is very important to do all your research carefully.

If all the silicone is perfect i would take the risk. And thank you for your welcome comment.
You’ll be fine. Just brought a nano desktop used as long as the overall condition is good wouldn’t worry at all

I'm glad you took my remarks positively they were designed to be constructive. Can you replace my hinges? @nyosaquatics4487
@nyosaquatics4487 also would like to know what is the warranty on your tanks. And I will pin the answer to comments.
As a Red Sea tank owner who’s tank failed and the company did absolutely nothing to help, I would encourage people to stay away.
Question: Are you the original owner? Did you move the tank after setting it up, and how old was it?

@@mrbustamante It was leveled. It's the silicone. I made a video about it ruclips.net/video/zmafVIdegD8/видео.html

None of them !! Neptunian cube is the new kid on the block and it’s way nicer and better constructed
Another tank made in China, i saw them at Interzoo, i think 🤔
@@VargasReef yes but much better quality !
Made in China is a no-go for me
I understand your trepidation. However, they do have lots of quality control in place at the factory.
Why? This is not the 90's😂
