Fun fact I bought that exact demo Max Nano XL today from the show and brought it home with me. Had to make two trips! Looking forward to setting it up. For someone coming back to the hobby after many years attending AQUAH was brilliant as everyone was so friendly and happy to share their years of experience. Big shootout to Ant from the Red Sea booth and Scott from the adjoining Aqua group booth both were great with me. Sorry I missed you, hopefully will be able to next year, finger crossed!

What's the type number on the sticker behind the weir comb? I'm looking at a tank on facebook, but I can't tell if it's the G2 version or not. Thankyou

Inside of the tank? If so there isn’t a type number but there’s a serial number and the tank says “Red Sea MAX NANO XL G2”

Gotta say, went with a G2 XL for my first saltwater reef tank and I couldn’t be happier with it. Not too big not too small. Water changes feel manageable for someone starting out. 4 months in, got 4 fish, couple hammers, couple torches and some inverts and everything is thriving.
The protein skimmer is fine but I don’t run it. It’s a bit loud and don’t see the point given that changing out 15 liters a week does the same thing. Might take it out to put in some media. Just wish the unit came with a bespoke lid or that Red Sea makes one.

I have the same tank since a few days and only let my skimmer run by night :) so i am having the best of 2 worlds..

Looking to get this exact tank so thanks for the video! Seems very manageable for a first timer, especially with the add ons which I intend to buy.

I'd bet that ATO doesn't last a week. 2 days max. Great tanks though.

Listings for this tank also say it'll be about 2 days worth of top off.

Yeah, but it’s not as wide asthis one. I think this is the best option.
