I know you were probably asked a million times, but would be very interesting to see a tour of your irrigation system as well as how you maintain it throughout the year, how you prepare it for winter and so on.
I’ve used Gilmore hoses before! They are great! This 74 yr old Great Grandma needs the Medium size 3/4” hose since it’s the lightest! Still gardening and Love your videos. Never too old to learn something new!
5/8 super Duty. My yard is all gravel and the AZ heat. I have Gilmour now but made the mistake of buying a 50' a few years back and the sun has finally taken its toll on the hose. You always make great videos. Thank you!
Good luck all ! Helpful video! I had no idea! I have two leaky hoses that came with the house - now I know why! 1/2" Medium duty is all we need in drought based California! Thank you!
Thank you Gilmour for this give away. Laura your videos are always amazing. Thank you! I will definitely like 5/8 Super Duty to replace my old hose. 🤞🙏
5/8 heavy duty would be great. I have volunteered to landscape and put in plants and trees for our Church this year. Would be amazing having this hose for pulling across the driveway areas💚 Thank You!!
Heavy Duty 5/8" for me!!!!!! The Sun is BRUTAL in my front yard and hoses pop constantly. I believe I just bought two of this brand recently and they have held up well so far!!
5/8 heavy duty and 75ft would be awesome! The timing of this video is perfect, my hose just burst on me yesterday and I was looking into what I should get as a replacement!
Ive had to replace my hose every year for like three years now and right now I’m using a 2 gallon watering can for my garden. Its horrible. This video was super helpful thank you! Id pick the 5/8 heavy duty. Thank you again!
Thanks for the useful information. Me and my mom where just talking about hoses this morning. We need them to water at the cemetery. I would love the ⅝ heavy duty, but probably just need the medium duty since it's grassy areas. Good luck everyone.
so important to have a good hose , makes all the difference when watering the garden , Medium would be great for me, Thank You so much for the giveaway.
I genuinely don't know which would be best for my yard. We just bought our house last winter, and are slowly updating all the landscaping and adding drip. I'd probably go for 5/8" Superduty. Thanks for all the wonderful videos, they've been a great help.
I was surprised you didn't tell us about your preference for a smooth surface on your hoses- I heard you say it but I don't know why or how it changes your day. I'd appreciate any but my choice is super duty in 3/4" & I think that's everything you need. Thank you Laura.
I went shopping for a water hose yesterday, I should've watched this video before leaving the house. I ended up buying a cheaper brand, which I now regret. I could use the 75 ft (5/8) heavy-duty. Thanks Laura!🌹
Every hose I buy breaks. Started to research “good hoses” and saw your video. I just went and bought a Gilmore medium duty hose! Love that they are made in the US! Thanks for the video.
My husband is forever helping me tug our hose across our driveway to water our front beds! He and I would LOVE to try a 5/8 inch super duty hose! Thank you from from both of us. We so enjoy watching these videos together :)
Gilmore Super Duty 1/2" 75" … This video could not of came at a more perfect time because I am needing to replace my hoses and was wondering which ones where the best to get. Thank you so much
I would really like to try out the 5/8 medium quality hose. And I like the idea that these hoses do not kink very easily because that has been a real problem in the past. Thank you very much.
I would love a 5/8 inch super duty hose. I have to drag it all over my concrete roof deck to water all my pots. Thank you so much for all your wonderful information. My gardening has improved as a result of it.
If I win by some miracle I would love a heavy duty 5/8". I've been having water pressure issues with my hose and now I realize it's probably because the hose diameter is so small. It takes me ages to water my medium sized front garden. Thanks Gilmour and Laura for the info!
Thank you SO much!!! This video is super helpful. Now I know why my front garden house is breaking down. I'm pulling it across concrete...I'd love a 5/8" super duty hose if I win. Thank you very much!
Super informational, thanks! Our front yard hoses always die so quickly (we store them outside all year long and use them with pressure washers) and now I know I don’t have the right hose. A super duty 3/4 inch hose would me amazing!!
I have been spending twice as long watering because I need a new house so this timing seems like kismet. The 5/8 medium duty is a beauty. Fingers crossed, 🤞🏻
75' 5/8" Flexogen Super Duty would be awesome! Replaced my old cracked hose with a 75' 5/8" Heavy Duty at the start of the summer this year and love it. Easy to wrap up and nice quality hose, with brass connectors! Plus Gilmour hoses are made in the USA!
So good to know! You always wonder what the differences really are. And the fact that they are Made in the USA is even better! If I win, I’d do the Super Duty 5/8 🙂
This vid was exactly what I was looking for - it wasn’t just a bunch of bs links to hoses sold on Amazon, (all of which got poor reviews). I didn’t feel like I was being sold something here. Thank you!
Love your videos. The hoses on the sunny side of our house have to be replaced fairly frequently. This video was quite helpful. I would think switching to super duty 5/8 inch would be best.
Medium size would be great for a townhouse in Edmonton Alberta. Yes always drain your watering hose and store it for the winter, keeps them longer. Thank you for the great video.
Informative video. I think the best size hose for me would be the heavy duty 5/8 inch hose since I have to bring it over bricks and concrete. Thanks Tab
Thank you, Laura! We have been experimenting with different hoses for awhile. Very much a trial and error! This was helpful. We would pick 5/8 super duty.
Great info on the hoses. I need one in the front of my house I haven't been able to sit down and look into them because the one I have is so heavy and it breaks my flowers if I am not careful. Thanks Laura for the great information, going to watch this video with my husband.
I'm a senior & there are times where I "give out" & my hose has to lay out overnight. So the 5/8" super duty would be perfect if I'm chosen. Thanks so much for doing this Laura & Aaron!
5/8 “ medium duty 75 foot length. I love the gray color too!!! It would blend in better in the hose reel by my house. Thank you Laura for sharing the tips about garden hoses. Learned something new!! Good luck to all the winners.

Thanks, Laura & Aaron and Gilmore for the chance to win! I would choose the 5/8” Super Duty for my property which has gravel and concrete in addition to grassy areas.
What a treat! Thanks for the opportunity Gilmour! Thanks for the tutorial, Laura. I can't tell you how long I have stood in the hose isle trying to decide which hose will work best for our property. Heavy duty for us, 3/4. I have to hand water and pull hose across 70+ feet and gravel to reach some beds as we don't have irrigation system. Guess, I am the irrigation system, lol! Thanks again.
5/8 heavy duty would be great. Thank you for explaining the difference between hoses. I never understood the difference. All your videos are very helpful. Thank you.
Thanks for the tutorial! I would definitely use a 1/2 inch diameter super duty...I water 4 yards by hand and a kinked hose drives me bananas! Appreciate all you do ☘️
Hi I am a beginner gardener. I've recently discovered your channel. And I love it, anyways. I usually buy medium duty but they seem to start bursting after 3 months. I repair hose just cause it's cheaper. At least until I run out of hose. But I would love to try the heavy duty 5/8 hose. I don't purchase it because I don't want to buy an expensive hose that burst. But if it stands up to everyday life. I'll be purchasing it regularly. And hose description was very helpful, thanks
I would pick the medium duty 5/8 diameter. Thank you so much for all the information. I absolutely love your channel. I’m not one to write in comment sections, but I have really learned so much from you! Thank you!

I so appreciate this video. While it may be common sense for many people on the topics you covered, I like to do my research before buying anything and you explained things I had questions about. It makes choosing the right hose a lot less overwhelming when I’m in the store aisle with so many options. I have a tendency to buy more than I need. I realize I could do well with just a medium or heavy duty hose and the 5/8” diameter suits my purpose fine. I’m going to subscribe to your channel as well. Thank you!
5/8" Heavy Duty would be great. I recently purchased two cheap lightweight hoses thinking they would be easier to handle. Not!! Almost impossible to get to lay flat and straight!! Thanks for your wonderful and informative videos.
