Scovill zipper - '86-'91(?) I have had M-65 for several years from late seventies with Scovill! And not a plastic!!! Brass!

plastic zippers are better, you don't have to wax them, they don't get caught, they always run perfectly and don't corrode either

Obviously RAU was the original snap maker as well back in the first contracts. They go back to WW2 RAU does.

There is a Jacket on ebay it seems to be a late 80s one So-Sew Styles, Inc. The Label in the inside is not in the middle it's off to the left, it has YKK plastic zippers on Collar and Front, the lining is not rip-stop it's a regular lining and the color of the lining looks to be a bit different than the outside of the jacket but could be also the photo and the strap on the Front zipper looks like the one in your Video at 0:26 is that a 1989 Model ?

I have a 87 So-Sew it has YKK zips, but made in USA. Made by YKK in Georgia USA. US military won't accept foreign uniform components.

YKK USA has a factory in Georgia. Obviously the military does not outsource their supplies.

It's not fake. Genuine M65 with YKK zippers.
M65 dated 1985 made by Golden Mfg. has Scovill brass zipper and YKK collar zipper.
All woodland M65 after 1991 are made with YKK zippers.

Since 1986. 1987 was when all zippers went plastic.
