I see you used a donor car for the swap in the first video, but can you just buy a swap and use it? Will they ask for receipts? I hear some people say you need receipts and some say you don’t.
My 04 Accord 3.0 MT has a 04 Acura TL j32a3 with a 04 Acura TL MT ecu. I've re pinned harness wires no check engine light. I have all 3 original cats. My test is not the visual smog test, it's the regular one. I'm concerned with the checksums not adding up do to the TL ecu. Maybe it would be better going through the regular test then fail or would going to ref first be best approach? Do they let you drive it to the ref if it fails 1st one? Same question for if I fail the regular smog check. As long as tags are good can I drive around to buy another car or fix the problem? Please help me bro. Thanks.
I have a 2000 integra. New to k swap. Got lot to learn. My integra has k chip reader on the ignition. Key is Program for my stock integra ecu. Will I have to get a new ignition and key if I'm doing kswap?
@@rarewitit7899 ok cool. Just did a k24 swap into my integra. Did everything needed to be done on the conversion harness to the integra chassis. I'm running the jdm ecu all I did was ground the fuel pump. When ignition to on it crank but won't fire up. If you have any clue what it could be let me know. Thx
@Rarewitit If I want to add power steering to my K20Z swap into DC2, is the junkyard donor car to look for a base RSX as well? Will either the EP3 or base RSX transmission need the speed sensor conversion?
If you have a k20z you can use Rsx type s pump ,depending on you harness , if your running ep3 02-05 no speed sensor needed , only if your running 05-06 Rsx will need speed converter , any trans with 02-04 Rsx base or type s no need for converter
@Rarewitit I was able to yard a Base RSX 5 speed trans this weekend! They wouldn't sell the wiring harness without the motor, so.... Is there a "budget" harness you would trust if it was your DC2 that you could recommend?

You have to run the car completely stock , e85 not allowed , also need Rsx gas tank , stock stock Rsx manifold with cat , Ecu , it’s very expensive I charge 6k

I believe the stock headers do have part numbers stamped on the flange.
Yea they don’t approve tsx only Rsx

Bro how did you do with the fuel delivery system and EVAP? Fuel tank is the integra? What about the other components that go on the fuel tank?

I’m not sure how to pass smog , I just know how to on a k series , you would have to talk to your local referee to see what they require
Did you hook up the obd port? Or did the state ref even tried it?

Nope that’s just for your old Ecu , the new Ecu from k series will need the immobilizer wired in, but doesn’t effect the ignition

You need a complete donor vehicle, either from Rsx or civic , must run complete fuel system and emissions , type r cannot be bard legally
